Abstract:
In enterprises with limited capacities and a low-powered grain drying facilities there is a problem of economical and reliable storage of dry, wet and moist grains. One of the options for its successful solution is the application of grain storage technology in silo bags, tested in many enterprises, the basic principle of which is based on the self-preservation of grain under hermetic conditions in an environment of carbon dioxide. To implement this technology, it is necessary to determine the suitability of the batch of grain for loading in the silo bags on the basis of an operational analysi

This study aimed to assess the efficacy of HIV/AIDS preventive initiatives specifically designed for female sex workers in Silobela, Zimbabwe. The study employed a phenomenological research approach, with intersectionality theory as its theoretical framework. Due to the delicate nature of the topic, participants were selected using a snowball sampling method. Data collection for this study involved unstructured face-to-face interviews with Female Sex Workers and Key Informant Interviews (KII), with a sample size of twelve participants. The findings were analyzed using theme analysis and reveal

This paper explores the socio-economic impact of small-scale gold mining on deprived local communities in theWozoli community.Causal and push factors such as drought and lack of formal employment have been identified as the most determining factors that drive communities to informal small scale gold mining. Cluster sampling of 5mines and the attendant working groups/syndicates were employed provide feasibility and practicality to the data collection process. The article presents statistical data on the dynamics of the development of the Russian agro-industrial complex in the direction of increasing productivity and notes the problems faced by the processing industry (crop products). For successful crop production, plant protection products are used that enter the soil and groundwater, which indirectly affects the state of the environment. The importance of the implementation of the Long-term strategy for the development of the grain complex of the Russian Federation was emphasized. Second-cut alfalfa in mid-bloom was ensiled in 3.6-m-diameter silage bags to give about 20 t of material per bag. Six bag types were utilized and each was replicated thrice. Bags evaluated were: PolyStor, Silobag, CIL-SB2, CIL-SB3, Visqueen, and AgBag. Ensiled material was assayed for chemical composition, including fermentation products, 2 and 14 mo after ensiling. Silage was also evaluated qualitatively based on smell (ammonia and silage aroma) and appearance (color, spoilage, consistency, and mold) at 8 and 14 mo. At 2 mo, all silages were judged to have met minimum requirements of good sil

Abstract:
Indigenous knowledge systems are ―a body or bodies of knowledge‖ which Africans have survived on for a very long time (Mapara, 2010). This study intends to examine the various communicative and indigenous strategies that are employed by the Zimbabwean Ndebeles in issues of peace and conflict management. It is necessitated by the realisation that there is an increase in conflict in the region and country as a result of political and socio-economic challenges. The study adopts a bottom-up approach where conflict management becomes a process that starts from the grassroots going outward. This sho
