The authors report for the first time on the invasive green alga Codium fragile ssp. fragile (Suringar) Hariot from the Adriatic coast of the Abruzzi Region of Italy (central Adriatic Sea). Several thalli have been found stranded on the beach of Silvi Marina since November 2015.
