Voronoi and Delaunay (Delone) cells of the root and weight lattices of the Coxeter–Weyl groupsW(An) andW(Dn) are constructed. The face-centred cubic (f.c.c.) and body-centred cubic (b.c.c.) lattices are obtained in this context. Basic definitions are introduced such as parallelotope, fundamental simplex, contact polytope, root polytope, Voronoi cell, Delone cell,n-simplex,n-octahedron (cross polytope),n-cube andn-hemicube and their volumes are calculated. The Voronoi cell of the root lattice is constructed as the dual of the root polytope which turns out to be the union of Delone cells. It is

Quantum search with the partial information of the location of the marked vertex is also discussed. Phase segregated states in a simple three-state stochastic lattice gas are investigated. A two dimensional finite lattice with periodic boundary conditions is filled with one hole and two oppositely "charged" species of particles, subject to an excluded volume constraint. Starting from a completely disordered initial configuration, a sufficiently large external "electric" field E induces the phase segregation, by separating the charges into two strips and "trapping" the hole at an interface between them. It then describes the simplest model of 2D gravity and the corresponding matrix model, along with the vertex/height integrable models on planar graphs and their mapping to matrix models.

This chapter discusses the ancestor of the Lattice Boltzmann, the Boolean formulation of hydrodynamics known as lattice Gas Cellular Automata. This discovery spurred great excitement in the fluid dynamics community. The prospects were tantalizing: around free, intrinsically parallel computational paradigm for fluid flows. The dual principle, used for showing that an element is above the least fixpoint, is related to inductive invariants. Abstract:
Abstract Emerging 3D printing technologies are enabling the design and fabrication of novel architected structures with advantageous mechanical responses. Designing complex structures, such as lattices, with a targeted response is challenging because build materials, fabrication process, and topological design have unique influences on the structure’s mechanical response. Changing any factor may have unanticipated consequences, even for simpler lattice structures. Here, we conduct mechanical compression experiments to investigate varied lattice design, fabrication, and material combinations us

Abstract:
The Mooshla Intrusive Complex (MIC) is an Archean polyphase magmatic body located in the Doyon-Bousquet-LaRonde (DBL) mining camp of the Abitibi greenstone belt, Québec. The MIC is spatially associated with numerous gold (Au)-rich VMS, epizonal 'intrusion-related' Au-Cu vein systems, and shear zone-hosted (orogenic?) Au deposits. To elucidate genetic links between deposits and the MIC, mineralized samples from two of the epizonal 'intrusion-related' Au-Cu vein systems (Doyon and Grand Duc Au-Cu) have been characterized using a variety of analytical techniques. Preliminary results indicate gold

A SIMPLE METHOD FOR A RELIABLE MODELLING OF THE NONLINEAR BEHAVIOUR OF BOLTED CONNECTIONS IN STEEL LATTICE TOWERS. The Hong Kong Institute of Steel Construction, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.18057/ijasc.2022.18.1.6.

Abstract:
The behaviour of bolted connections in steel lattice transmission line towers affects their load-bearing capacity and failure mode. Bolted connections are commonly modelled as pinned or fixed joints, but their behaviour lies between these two extremes and evolves in a nonlinear manner. Accordingly, an accurate finite element modelling of the structural response of complete steel lattice towers requires the consideration of various nonlinear phenomena involved in bolted connexions, such as bolt slippage. In this study, a practical method is proposed for the modelling of the nonlinear response o
