Abstract:
For more than two decades, we have believed that coffee and cocoa plantations were considered as the best places for children labour in rural work. However, the schools which are supposed to educate them have become places where children labour is manifested through school cooperatives. In fact, the older children whose ages range from 10 to 15 are employed on the cashew and cotton plantations on behalf of these cooperatives which must teach them the spirit of cooperation and associative life. School cooperatives in Sinematialy (northern Côte d’Ivoire) are the examples. Thus, the present study

Abstract:
Babesia spp is an emergent pathogenic which constitute a major constraint in bovine breedings in Côte d’Ivoire. Little information on Babesia exists in Poro area. A study was carried out on 120 bovine blood samples, with an aim to evaluate Babesia prevalence. Microscopic technique was used to determine prevalence of Babesia (19.17%). Hematocrit values varied from 20 ± 0.00% to 41.44 ± 7.47%. Babesia was observed in male calves (27.27%), female calves (12%), heifer (25%) and cows (24.49%). Bovines from department of Korhogo were the most infected (30%). The prevalences

In Sinematiali, we observe the growth of fruit growing in this area which is traditionally marked by the production of cotton and cereals. This expansion induces a progressive transformation of land use patterns in the agrarian landscape and impacts agricultural practices. The present study is carried out to analyze agrarian changes in the sub-prefecture of Sinematiali between 1988, 1998 and 2021 using remote sensing techniques. From the processing of Landsat 5 TM (1988, 1998) and Landsat 8 OLI-TIRS (2021) satellite images, six (06) land use modes in the agrarian landscape were identified: den

Shea (Vitellaria paradoxa) fruits were harvested in the departments of Korhogo (Lataha and Nalourgokaha), Sinematiali (Dahouakaha), Dikodougou, Boundiali and Ferké (Houphouekaha) in northern Côte d'Ivoire. The aim of this study is to add value to fresh shea fruit pulp in these departments. The classic biochemical analyses used revealed that fruit pulp is rich in a number of minerals, notably K, P, Mg, Na, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu and Ca. Potassium was the predominant mineral, with contents ranging from 1108 ±0.2 mg/100g to 1563 ±0.2 mg/100g for rounded pulp and 601.2±0.1 mg/100g to 1342 ±0.3 mg/100g for
