The sloshing phenomenon is one of the free surface flow that can endanger liquid cargo carriers such as ships. Sloshing is defined as the resonance of fluid inside a tank caused by external oscillation. When sloshing is close to the natural frequency of the tank it could endanger ships. Particle method has the advantages to be applied because sloshing is dealing with free surface. One of the particle methods is Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). In this study, compressible SPH was used as a result of the pressure oscillation, which exists because of the effect of density fluctuation as nat

Single-phase pressure drops produced by each component were used to establish the resistance coefficient, K. Because the channel aspect ratios and hydraulic diameters were varied together in those studies. Liquid cooled small channel heat sinks have become a promising heat dissipation method for future high power electrical devices. Traditional mini and microchannel heat sinks consist of a single layer of low-aspect ratio rectangular channels. The alternative new heat sinks are fabricated by stacking many channels together to create multiple layer channels. These multilayer heat sinks can achieve high heat flux due to high heat transfer coefficients from small channels and large surface area from multilayer structure.
