Abstract:
It is known that the stress singularities at an interface crack tip of bimaterials with the effects of heat flow may have the form r−1/2 (ln r). The existence conditions of the higher order singularitiy r−1/2 (ln r) are studied for monoclinic bimaterials whose plane of symmetry is at x3 = 0. It is shown that the higher order singularity does not exist if the bimaterial is mismatched. If the bimaterial is non-mismatched, the higher order singularity does not exist when a certain condition is satisfied. This condition is given explicitly for monoclinic bimaterials with the plane of symmetry of x

Using the method of composite material complex and constructing new stress functions with complex singularity exponents, the problem of singularities near interface crack tip for mode II of orthotropic bi-material is studied. Boundary value problems of generalized bi-harmonic equations can be solved with the help of boundary conditions, then four kinds of stress singularities are deduced, respectively, such as the constant singularity at λ=-1/2, the non-constant singularity at λ=-1/2+ε , the constant oscillation singularity at λ=-1/2+iε, and non-constant oscillation singularity at λ=-1/2+c+iε.

The scalar tensor theory of gravitation is constructed in D dimensions in all possible geometries of spacetime. In Riemannian geometry, theory of gravitation involves a spacetime metric g with a torsion-free, metric compatible connection structure. If the geometry is non-Riemannian, then the gauge theory of gravitation can be constructed with a spacetime metric g and a connection structure with torsion. In non-Riemannian theory, connections may be metric compatible or non-metric compatible. It is shown that theory of gravitation which involves non-metric compatible connection and torsion, can

Serial singularities produce some local loss of dexterity of the manipulator, therefore it might be desirable to search for singularityfree trajectories in the jointspace. Singularity analysis of multi-DOF (multiple-degree-of-freedom) multiloop planar linkages is much more complicated than the single-DOF planar linkages. This paper offers a degeneration method to analyze the singularity (dead center position) of multi-DOF multiloop planar linkages. The proposed method is based on the singularity analysis results of single-DOF planar linkages and the less-DOF linkages. For an N-DOF (N>1) planar linkage, it generally requires N inputs for a constrained motion. By fixing M (M<N) input joints or links, the N-DOF planar linkage degenerates an (N-M)-DOF linkage.

Abstract:
Recently the statistical characterizations of financial markets based on physics concepts and methods attract considerable attentions. The correlation matrix formalism and concept of multifractality are used to study temporal aspects of the Ukraine Stock Market evolution. Random matrix theory (RMT) is carried out using daily returns of 431 stocks extracted from database time series of prices the First Stock Trade System index (www.kinto.com) for the ten-year period 1997-2006. We find that a majority of the eigenvalues of C fall within the RMT bounds for the eigenvalues of random correlation matr
