This research is the first step of ongoing research. This starts from the number of students in the Electronics Engineering Study Program at both Diploma-III and Diploma-IV levels who make and use inverters in their final project. Based on the information and observations that were found to be the majority of the tools were unsuccessful and the students did not understand both the concept and design of the system that had been made. This is due, among other things, to the lack of practical facilities in the field of power electronics, especially those relating to inverters. On the other hand, inverter systems are very much needed in electronic systems, ranging from portable AC power supply systems, emergency power supply systems, power supply systems to renewable energy (solar cell systems, wind systems, etc.) and to industrial control systems .In this study 4 inverters were purchased in the market either directly or online. The results obtained there are two types of inverters on the market, namely first: output waves in the form of modified sinusoidal (modified sinusoid) and second: external waves in the form of pure sinusoids. Both of these types at relatively similar power ratings have a significant price difference.Output voltage is not exactly 220 volts depending on inverter brands with voltage regulation levels between 1% to 7%, and the best is the inverter with the Souer brand.Relatively good frequency stability approaches 50 Hz, with a maximum tolerance of 0.25%. The best frequency stability is owned by a Pacoinverter with a frequency of 50 Hz.

This research stems from the large number of students in the Electronics engineering study program who make inverters in their final project / thesis. Based on the information and observations available, the majority of the tools did not work properly. In this research, an inverter is made using 4 kinds of control modules and different transistor switching circuits. The parameters observed were the waveform and voltage level from the output signal. The results obtained in this study, generally inverter control modules on the market use IC CD-4047-BE with the output in the form of a square wave, and IC ATMEGA 8-16PU from ATMEL with the result in the form of imperfect sinusoid waves (75%). For the EGS-900 controller module, which uses EGS-002 as the main control, it gives an output in the form of an SPWM wave with an input in the form of 24V DC voltage, after passing through the step-up transformer the result is a pure sine wave with a voltage of about 220V with a frequency of 50 Hz.

Abstract:
Mechanisms leading to the obstruction of the microcirculation in sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS) have been unclear. Because this occurs at the onset of disease, this is a potential key target for therapeutic intervention. Rats were treated with monocrotaline with or without continuous intraportal infusion of glutathione and were studied at 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 6, and 10 days after monocrotaline treatment with the use of in vivo microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Sinusoidal perfusion decreased from days 1 through 10 with a nadir on day 4. At 12 h, numerous swollen sinusoidal endothelial cells (SECs) were observed. Subsequently, red blood cells penetrated into the space of Disse through gaps between and through swollen SEC and dissected the sinusoidal lining away from the parenchymal cells. Sinusoidal blood flow was obstructed by an embolism of aggregates of sinusoidal lining cells, red blood cells, and adherent monocytes. All changes were prevented by glutathione infusion, notably the initial swelling of SEC. SOS is initiated by changes in SEC. Microcirculatory obstruction is due to dissection of the sinusoidal lining, followed by embolization of the sinusoid by sinusoidal lining cells, compounded by aggregates of monocytes adherent in the sinusoids. Glutathione prevents SOS by preserving an intact sinusoidal barrier.

Abstract:
Abstract Abstract 217 Laminins are heterotrimeric proteins that are the backbone for all basal laminas. They provide structural support, points for focal adhesion, and biochemical feedback for nearby cells. Laminins are found in many tissues, including bone marrow and lymphoid organs, and are detected in the discontinuous basal lamina of sinusoidal blood vessels. Laminin g1 is the predominant gamma subunit found in the bone marrow and lymphoid tissues. Here we show that the continuous expression of laminin in adulthood is necessary for viability of the vascular hematopoietic niche (sinusoidal endothelial cells). In the absence of laminin, this niche fails and hematopoiesis is impaired. To determine if sinusoidal laminin expression correlates with bone marrow failure and recovery, we used a well-established model of bone marrow failure. Wild type mice were treated with a sublethal dose of 5-fluoruracil (5-FU), and bone marrow was analyzed for disruption of sinusoid architecture and endothelial cell receptor and laminin expression. As described in other studies, shortly after treatment with 5-FU, bone marrow sinusoids became disorganized and hemorrhagic, and endothelial cells lost expression of VEGFR2. In addition, sinusoids lost their laminin-containing basal lamina. These changes correlated with bone marrow failure and onset of peripheral blood pancytopenia. As the sinusoids regained normal cytoarchitecture and VEGFR2 expression was normalized, sinusoid expression of laminin also returned to basal levels. With 5-FU-induced bone marrow failure and recovery, hematopoiesis correlated with laminin expression in the vascular hematopoietic stem cell niche. To test whether laminin expression directly affects the quality of the niche and hematopoiesis, a mutant mouse line was generated in which laminin g1 expression could be deleted by brief exposure to tamoxifen (TM). Control mice were littermates that lacked the TM-responsive Cre transgene. Prior to TM treatment, adult mutant and control mice had normal peripheral blood cell counts, and there was no evidence of gene recombination in genomic DNA samples. Adult mutant and control mice were then injected with either TM or vehicle, and the peripheral blood, bone marrow, spleen, and liver were collected after three weeks. Laminin g1 genes were deleted and laminin expression was lost in bone marrow, spleen, and liver sinusoids of only the TM-treated mutant mice. These mice also became thrombocytopenic and leukopenic. Flow cytometry showed early arrest of B-lymphocyte development within the bone marrow, bone marrow sinusoids became hemorrhagic, and the normal cytoarchitecture of the sinusoids and endothelial expression of VEGFR2 were lost. All other mouse groups were unaffected. These results suggest that continuous laminin expression is necessary for support of sinusoidal endothelial cells and the vascular hematopoietic niche. Disruption of the hematopoietic microenvironment is sufficient to alter blood cell development and release into peripheral circulation. These studies support the critical role of the microenvironment and stroma in supporting hematopoiesis. Disclosures: No relevant conflicts of interest to declare.

Adella Wulan Septiana, Iman Setiono in this paper explain that Three phase electricity is widely used in large and home industries. However, not all industries or electricity users can enjoy three-phase resources because the installation is quite expensive. So that the use of a single phase to three phase electric converter is needed. One alternative that can be done is by making an inverter. The inverter is a hardware device that functions to convert direct current (DC) voltage into alternating current (AC) voltage. From the 220 VAC voltage enter the step up transformer then to the rectifier circuit so that the voltage generated is 380V. Then IC 555 is used as a box wave generator with a frequency output of 322.7 Hz. Then the output goes into the IC 74175 flip-flop circuit as a phase shift that produces three outputs, where each output has a high and low value with a frequency of 53.8 Hz. Output from rectifier and 74175 is used as input for IGBT drivers. Keywords: three phase electricity, shift register, flip-flop 74175, inverter.ReferencesAfrizal, Mokhamad Asrul & Ainur Rofiq. Abstract:
A complex exponential waveform embedded in white noise can be optimally detected by matched filtering which is equivalent to Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). However, if the input includes multiple complex exponentials, the DFT processing is not optimal. The frequency spectrum of the complex exponential signal with finite observation interval is not impulse. The spectrum includes side-lobes called spectral leakage.Because of the strong side-lobes, weak components can be masked, or side-lobes can be interpreted as independent complex exponentials causing false alarms. The conventional approach is to suppress side-lobes by using an amplitude weighting function, called a window function. However, windows reduce the signal to noise ratio at the output and also widens the main lobe in the spectrum resulting in a loss of frequency resolution. In this thesis, the problem of detection of a complex exponential signal under a secondary complex exponential interference is investigated. Alternative windowing techniques such as spatially variant apodization (SVA), dual apodization (DA) are studied in the context of detection of weak sinusoids under strong sinusoidal interference. The detection performance of SVA and DA is compared with the conventional methods and the optimal detector.

Many types of everyday signals fall into the non-stationary sinusoids category. A large family of such signals represent audio, including acoustic/electronic, pitched/transient instrument sounds, human speech/singing voice, and a mixture of all: music. Analysis of such signals has been in the focus of the research community for decades. The main reason for such intense focus is the wide applicability of the research achievements to medical, financial and optical applications, as well as radar/sonar signal processing and system analysis. Accurate estimation of sinusoidal parameters is one of the most common digital signal processing tasks and thus represents an indispensable building block of a wide variety of applications. Classic time-frequency transformations are appropriate only for signals with slowly varying amplitude and frequency content - an assumption often violated in practice. In such cases, reduced readability and the presence of artefacts represent a significant problem. Time and frequency resolu

Abstract:
Parameter estimation is an essential step in sinusoidal modelling for additive sound synthesis, speech synthesis, and digital audio effects. This thesis investigates parameter estimation for a non-stationary sinusoidal signal model with a polynomial log-amplitude and a polynomial phase up to a given order. Two existing parameter estimation methods are investigated (the Reassignment Method and the Derivative Method) for the non-stationary sinusoidal model up to second-order. These methods are related to time-frequency reassignment for the spectrogram and they are shown to be biased by the effect of second-order log-amplitude and second-order phase modulations on spectrogram reassignment. Three generalized parameter estimations methods (the Distribution Derivative Method, the Generalized Reassignment Method, and the Generalized Derivative Method) that provide unbiased estimators for the non-stationary sinusoidal model up to any order are presented and formulated in a new, unified framework. These generalized methods are also related to spectrogram reassignment and it is shown that they correct the bias present in the second-order methods. Practical comparisons of the generalized methods and the theoretical lower limits of estimator performance, the Cramér-Rao bounds, are carried out in experimental tests with synthetic signals. For the sake of completeness, another state of the art method (the Quadratic Interpolated Fast Fourier Transform method) based the Fourier transform of a Gaussian windowed signal, is extended to second-order log-amplitude modulation and tested along with the generalized methods.<br>L'estimation des paramètres est une étape essentielle de la modélisation sinusoïdale dans des domaines tels que la synthèse sonore additive, la synthèse vocale, et les effets audio numériques.

The dogs were submitted to the single session of the TheraPlate triplanar vibrating platform at the frequency of 30 Hz for 5 minutes, followed by increasing the frequency to 50 Hz for 5 minutes and ending at the 30 Hz frequency for 5 minutes without rest. The electrocardiogram was evaluated at different times; Doppler echocardiography; carotid artery doppler; systolic blood pressure; hemogasometry; heart and respiratory rate; rectal body temperature; blood count; biochemistry, cardiac marker, and glycemia were evaluated in diffetent moments. Statistical analyses were performed using the Shapiro-Wilks test, the fit of the mixed model and the Mann-Whitney test. For all analyses, a significant difference was considered when the p-value was less than 0.05. The morphometric data of young and elderly dogs were similar and classified with a body proportion below 1. Para... Abstract:
Doctor of Philosophy(PhD)<br>Owing to its strategic position in the liver sinusoid, pathologic and morphologic alterations of the Liver Sinusoidal Endothelial Cell (LSEC) have far-reaching repercussions for the whole liver and systemic metabolism. LSECs are perforated with fenestrations, which are pores that facilitate the transfer of lipoproteins and macromolecules between blood and hepatocytes. Loss of LSEC porosity is termed defenestration, which can result from loss of fenestrations and/ or decreases in fenestration diameter. Gram negative bacterial endotoxin (Lipopolysaccharide, LPS) has marked effects on LSEC morphology, including induction LSEC defenestration. Sepsis is associated with hyperlipidemia, and proposed mechanisms include inhibition of tissue lipoprotein lipase and increased triglyceride production by the liver. The LSEC has an increasingly recognized role in hyperlipidemia. Conditions associated with reduced numbers of fenestrations such as ageing and bacterial infections are associated with impaired lipoprotein and chylomicron remnant uptake by the liver and consequent hyperlipidemia. Given the role of the LSEC in liver allograft rejection and hyperlipidemia, changes in the LSEC induced by LPS may have significant clinical implications. In this thesis, the following major hypotheses are explored: 1. The Pseudomonas aeruginosa toxin pyocyanin induces defenestration of the LSEC both in vitro and in vivo 2. The effects of pyocyanin on the LSEC are mediated by oxidative stress 3. Defenestration induced by old age and poloxamer 407 causes intrahepatocytic hypoxia and upregulation of hypoxia-related responses 4. Defenestration of the LSEC seen in old age can be exacerbated by diabetes mellitus and prevented or ameliorated by caloric restriction commencing early in life

Abstract:
This paper outlines a mathematical framework necessary to determine the optimal transducer force for a given vibration input. This relationship, between input vibration parameters and transducer force gives a critical first step in determining the optimal transducer architecture for a given vibration input. This relationship also yields a theoretical maximum energy output for a system with a given proof mass and parasitic mechanical losses, modeled as linear viscous damping. This relationship is then applied to three specific vibration inputs; a single sinusoid, the sum of two sinusoids, and a single sinusoid with a time dependent frequency (chirp). For the single sinusoidal case, the optimal transducer is found to be a linear spring, resonant with the input frequency, and a linear viscous damper, with matched impedance to the mechanical damping. The resulting transducer force for the input as a sum of two sinusoids is found to be inherently time dependent. This time dependency shows that an active system (not only dependent on the states of the system) can outperform a passive system (dependent only on the states). The final application, for a swept sinusoidal input, results in a transducer of a linear viscous damper, with matched impedance to the mechanical damping, as well as a linear spring with a time dependent coefficient.

Abstract:
The liver has a specialized circulation. It is supplied by two main vessels: the hepatic portal vein, carrying nutrient-rich deoxygenated blood, and the hepatic artery, carrying oxygenated blood. The hepatic portal vein supplies up to 80% of the blood. Within the liver, both the portal vein and the hepatic artery undergo a series of successive bifurcations, which end at the portal tracts. Each portal tract contains three vessels: a portal vein, an artery and a bile duct. Blood drains out from the portal tracts into the sinusoidal space and from there into the central veins. The central veins, after a series of converging bifurcations, end at the hepatic veins, which carry blood out of the liver. The sinusoidal space consists of a network of tortuous, interconnected channels called sinusoids. One of the most common and widely accepted descriptions of the primitive units of the liver is the “classic lobule”. A diagram of an idealized arrangement of liver lobules is shown in Figure 1. Each lobule has the shape of a hexagonal prism with a portal tract running along each of the parallel edges and a central vein on the central axis. The remainder of the space is made up of sinusoids.

Abstract:
This research presents the development of a novel structural health monitoring method for identifying damage location within a composite structure. The proposed method for damage detection is based on sinusoid-tracking algorithm (STA), which is an adaptive nonstationary signal processing tool. Sinusoid-tracking algorithm is a method of extraction of nonstationary sinusoidal signals and estimation of their parameters, namely amplitude, phase and frequency which vary over time. This helps to analyze the nonstationary signals, due to nonlinearity caused by damage, in identification procedure. The proposed method makes use of the estimated phase recorded at different spots on the structure under study. Estimated phase is used to define the damage indices. By comparing the value of indices from a baseline (or healthy) case to a damaged case, at different locations on the structure, variations in the value of indices are observed especially adjacent to the location of damage. The proposed methodology is applied to experimental plate. The results of proposed method is promising in detecting location of damage.

Abstract:
Hydraulic shaking table is an important device to stimulate vibration environment, which has been widely applied to seismic simulation, aerospace and construction engineering. However, the response from the hydraulic shaking table are not considered sinusoid waveform when corresponds to a sinusoidal acceleration excitation due to the presence of harmonic distortion. This work presents an approach based on the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm for the harmonic component estimation in a hydraulic shaking table. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can precisely identify the harmonic component and it has great advantage of convergence as well as real-time performance.

Abstract:
In linear systems, designers use zeros for loop-shaping and the attenuation of disturbances. For example, jω-axis zeros can be used to reject sinusoids at a specific frequency such a 50Hz or 60Hz power line interference. In this paper we constructively design nonlinear zeros — nonlinear dynamics that reject a non-sinusoidal signal — for a class of disturbance cancellation problems involving input disturbances. Problems in this class, for example, arise in controlled mechanical systems wherein actuator forces and disturbance forces enter a feedback system at the same point. A key element of our approach is the synthesis of disturbance waveform models so that they may be included in controllers as internal models. The focus is on waveforms of “known shape” with unknown amplitude and phase. Our approach contrasts with linear repetitive control where complex periodic waveforms are rejected using linear internal models incorporating harmonic oscillators for the fundamental and a number of harmonics of the periodic waveform.
