ABSTRACT Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, affecting one in six people during their lifetime. It occurs due to either a blockage in the brain's blood supply (ischemic stroke) or sudden brain hemorrhage (hemorrhagic stroke). Diagnosing stroke is crucial, and while CT scans are commonly used, they may not always be readily available, especially in resource- limited settings. Abstract:
Abstract Background Optimal duration of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) after coronary stent implantation depends on bleeding and thrombotic risk in an individual patient. The PRECISE-DAPT score is recommended for adjusting of optimal DAPT duration. Purpose To assess external validation of PRECISE-DAPT score for prediction of out-of-hospital bleeding and thrombosis after coronary stent implantation in prospective manner. Methods We prospectively enrolled patients who underwent coronary stent implantation and received DAPT in our institution during June 2018 through December 2019. Out-of-hospi

Abstract:
Background: It remains unknown whether inpatient rehabilitation lasting three weeks or less, following one or two weeks of acutephase treatment for stroke patients at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University (SH-MU), Thailand, is effective, especially when the beginning is deferred. Objective: To examine functional outcomes (FO) of short hospitalized rehabilitation (SHR) for stroke patients with three different stroke onsets to rehabilitation admission intervals (SOTRAI), and to determine whether there are any differences in FO regarding SOTRAI. Materials and Methods: The investigators conducted a

Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of pharmacoinvasive (PI) strategy compared to primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) in the setting of a real-world ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) network where streptokinase (SK) is predominantly prescribed. Materials and Methods: The authors analyzed 325 STEMI patients who participated in The Siriraj STEMI network between July 2015 and October 2020. The primary efficacy endpoint was the incidence of cumulative major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) at one month, which were the composite of death

Background and Purpose: A simple and reliable prediction of post intravenous recombination tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is useful for stroke team to inform individual risk and improve hospitalization care. We aim to develop and validate a simple predictive score model to assess the 24-hour risk of ICH post rt-PA. Methods: This retrospective study included 739 acute ischemic stroke patients who received intravenous rt-PA between October 2005 and June 2020 at Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand. Background: The efficacy of mobile stroke units (MSU) in improving acute ischemic stroke (AIS) care in developing countries is unknown. We compared performance measures and treatment outcomes between MSU and usual care. Methods: We enrolled patients >18 years of age with a diagnosis of AIS who presented with onset to door < 4.5 hours and stroke code was alert either at the Siriraj MSU (SiMSU) or at the emergency department (ED). The same AIS treatment guideline for intravenous tPA or endovascular treatment (EVT) were applied in both groups. Demographic data, type(s) of reperfusion therap
