Abstract:

The high-energy approximation is adapted for heavy ion scattering at energies of several dozen MeV/nucleon. It is shown that the closed form of the eikonal phase suggested for the realistic Woods–Saxon type potential is a hopeful one for further applications. The Glauber–Sitenko small angle approach is analyzed, and a role of the Coulomb deviation of the straight trajectory of motion is investigated. Methodical calculations and comparison with experimental data are made.

Abstract:

Calculations of the 6,8 He +28 Si total reaction cross-sections at intermediate energies are performed on the basis of the Glauber–Sitenko microscopic optical-limit model. The target-nucleus density distribution is taken from the electron-nucleus scattering data, and the 6,8 He densities are used as they are derived in different models. The results of the calculations are compared with existing experimental data. The effects of the density tails of the projectile nuclei as well as the role of shell admixtures and short-range correlations are analyzed.

Abstract:

Investigation of high energy proton scattering of the deuterium nuclei is carried out in the framework of the new approach using three-dimensional generalized profile function of the nucleon, which allows taking into account the offshell energy effects in the intermediate acts of scattering. Cross sections of the elastic scattering of protons with the energy of 1 GeV on the deuterons are calculated. The obtained results of the calculation are compared with the experimental data as well as with the calculations within the common Glauber-Sitenko diffraction theory.
