Full textThe use and practice of infographic restitutions in the field of built-up material vestiges has always been an important foundation in research and scientific experiments. This thesis questions the role of digital models from the excavation to representation of research results. The main body of this thesis cornes from interviews with and discussions of several groups of experts. Research in the field of archaeological and virtual reconstruction of ancient buildings gathers researchers from a variety of professions and possessing different sets of skills. Among them, professional abilities of three groups (the architect, the archaeologist and the IT expert) have been discussed. For the public, the virtual reconstitution of digital models using computers can guarantee and lead to a suitable representation in exhibitions. This thesis is based on four approaches: a bibliographic approach, interviews with experts, a public survey and the analysis of case studies. Suggestions which may improve the nnultidisciplinary work are: to utilise results from source analysis, conduct interviews and surveys to understand the expectations of each nominated groups, finding the possible ways of interacting between these experts and proposing the potential solutions. We are interested in aligning the expectations of those expert groups through these digital models. These approaches will also involve the use of digital models in the form of representation and museum devices in exhibition spaces. In this context, the concept of digital model can lead to the basis for exchange and communication of ideas

Full textThe paleodosimetric dating methods allow to obtain the age of some mineral materials which behave as natural dosimeters, the age being derived as the ratio of the dose accumulated from the dated event and the natural dose rate to which the sample was subjected.. The determination of the dose rate is usually based on simple models which only allow explicit calculations, but these models reproduce very imperfectly the diversity of situations encountered. Computer modeling allows to represent more complex and more realistic models, which lead to numerically simulate the dose rate. In this work, the toolbox Geant4, allowing to simulate particle-matter interactions by the Monte-Carlo method, was used to create complex models , as well as modeling tools accessible and adaptable to different types of samples and dosimetric situations. Simulations were first made with basic models in order to study the origin of dose rate variations in sediments, highlighting the limits of the simple models commonly used. This information was used to guide the development of modeling tools based on the Geant4 codes, and also to specify the protocols of samples analysis for gathering the data needed for numerical simulations. The DosiVox software allows to easily model a wide variety of samples through a voxelised representation of the object and its environment, and to simulate the radioactivity for calculating the spatial distribution of the dose rate. It was developed with a view of accessibility and current use. Comparisons with dosimetric situations previously studied or measured showed the relevance of the modelings, and the possibilities of this computer tool are exposed through a series of examples and applications. The characterization of the beta dose rate distribution in heterogeneous sediment is one of the most complex problems to be treated. In addition to a study aims at assessing the potential of DosiVox to consider these situations, the DosiSed software was developed specifically for modeling poly-mineral sets of grains. This tool was used to study the heterogeneity of the dose rate in real samples and allowed to include some of the results in a dating problematic

Full textToday, the Overseas departments have more than 25% of photovoltaic systems of the French territory. French Guiana is itself equipped with a park of more than 600 kWc, 75% being located in isolated areas. This leads to the problem of the installation of a suitable maintenance policy related mainly to the difficulties of provisioning raw materials and spare parts, to the lack of qualified local manpower and to the complexity to give a fast diagnosis of the installation. Aiming to reach a quality of the provided service, it proves to be crucial to develop a diagnosis tool of the different breakdowns and defects which can occur on the production chain. On the basis of research element of the Thesis of Miss Sidonie SALVAT, illustrating in detail the philosophy of the preventive maintenance, the work of this memory presents the development of a tool for functional simulation to validate these first results. By the realization of models for the simulation of each system subset, including a statistical modelling of the solar resource and load, we present a detailed analysis of the dysfunctions. This tool, which proves to be a key element of the diagnosis development, allows the use of detection methods based on the principle of the pattern recognition. The supervised training realize a classification by the search for a parametric discriminating function minimizing the quadratic error on the basis. The algorithms carrying out the real time monitoring of the system in presence of defects are established in an experimental kit representing with reduced scale the production of an individual generator. The experimental detection procedures are then tested on production and regulation defects, and compared with those obtained by simulations under the same operating conditions

Full textIntra-site spatial analysis of settlement does not allow use of general model applicable to any archaeological site. However some items have similar habitat settlement profiles. Can we consider looking for protocols transposable to usual settlement sites? The purpose of this study is based on an exploratory approach, on two protohistoric settlements. On the Bandkeramik site of Bucy-le-Long "la Fosselle", the analysis focuses on spatial distribution of the material remains within comparable architectural units. Data analysis is used to determine different study parameters. The informative potential of housing units, established according to morphological and taphonomic criteria, is evaluated and compared with the archaeological potential, determined from the richness of the furniture and the different categories of artifacts. The global intra-site analysis is made by grouping the furniture by functional category, to highlight significant assemblages of vestiges according to the dwellings. They allow to characterize and to segment the significant sets of food and technical activities at the site scale, based on houses partitioning. The site of Changis-sur-Marne "les Pétreaux" having suffered a long occupation from the Late bronze to the Early la Tène period, lead to a difficult reading of the settlements. During excavation spatial analysis is tried on structures groups. Then, the distribution of furniture is studied at various observation scales. However, those first divisions do not reflect groups of obvious rural settlements. A partitioning of the structures within smaller spatial entities is then engaged starting from the search for aggregates, highlighted by the space-time hot spot analysis. The dynamic of occupation of the site is thus more easily perceptible. Two case studies are finally challenged with other spatial studies about settlement sites. In addition to the material remains commonly seen as reference in the intra-site spatial analysis of settlement, archaeological structures find all their places
