Abstract:
In Nigerian universities, the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) is a mandatory program designed to expose undergraduate students to real-world industrial practices relevant to their field of study. Despite the technological advancements in educational systems, the process of SIWES supervision and student performance assessment remains largely manual, inefficient, and error-prone. This project focuses on designing of a web-based system to enhance the supervision and grading process for SIWES students in the Department of Information Technology. Antibodies are soluble proteins produced by the adaptive immune system to bind and counteract invading pathogens. The binding properties of a typical human antibody are determined by the structure of its variable domain, composed of two chains – heavy and light and by the conformation of six loops located on the surface of the variable domain, known as Complementarity Determining Regions (CDRs). In the first chapter, we describe our analysis of the conformational space occupied by five out of six antibody CDRs (L1, L2, L3, H1 and H2) and the development of a novel, length-independent method

Abstract A three dimensional (3-D) photon emission failure analysis method has been developed to pinpoint failure sites or emission sites on the x, y, and z planes of a degraded diode. The 3-D analysis consists of a cross-sectioning step process on two adjacent sides of a diode utilizing two photon emission sites from respective sides of the die as a map. This process negates the uncertainty and long processing times during cross-sectional analysis to find minute defects in diodes.

The National Park Service Great Lakes Inventory and Monitoring Network established 10 permanent acoustic amphibian monitoring sites at MISS in 2015. Acoustic samples are collected by placing automated recorders with omnidirectional stereo microphones at each of

Abstract:
In this best practice paper a mixed integer optimization approach to the selection of sanitary landfill site sizes and locations in a regional context is explained and illustrated using stylized cost and location information adapted from a real case study. After reviewing the basics of the heuristic approach to solid waste disposal site selection, the optimization model is laid out and solved in the case study context, initially in terms of financial costs. In a subsequent section, a way of incorporating the relative environmental damages of alternative locations into the model is suggested, a
