There exists a mountain of data on GitHub on how software development is done in reality. The data is accessible through an API but is rarely used outside of the projects it belongs to. This data could be an untapped resource and potentially give us an insight about software development in general and how to organize projects more efficiently. This report takes a sample of 676 800 repositories from GitHub and tries to find a relation or underlying function between the number of members and the time it takes them to solve issues. This report also looks at GitHub API and its viability as a tool

To study the detrimental effects of hypokinesia, many models of reduced muscular activity (i.e., reduced-use), including alterations in the size of the living environment, have been developed. Although significant structural and functional changes have been documented, the effect of reduced-use on muscle fatigability remains unclear. This project was designed to study the effects of cage-size on selected properties of rat hindlimb muscle, with particular emphasis on fatigue. Further, in view of the lack of information on the potential effect of gender, both males and females were studied. The

This dissertation consists of three essays examining the relation between corporate governance and firm performance. The theme of this study is that the widely documented long-term underperformance in equity carve-outs can be partly explained by weak corporate governance. The first essay presented in Chapter 2 explores the effect of shareholder-rights protection on the performance of a sample of firms that initiated a carve-out during the period 1983-2004. Abstract As marine infrastructure and particularly petroleum production platforms and pipelines age, cathodic protection system retrofits become necessary in order that corrosion control might continue. An important aspect of such retrofitting is determination of when such action should take place. Assessment of cathodic protection systems upon both space-frame structures and pipelines is normally performed based upon potential measurements. As galvanic anodes waste, their size decreases; and this, in turn, causes a resistance increase and a corresponding decrease in polarization. In the prese
