Abstract:
An immaculate square-nosed acanthurid fish of the genus Naso, previously misidentified as N. tuberosus, is described as a new species, N. mcdadei. The species is widespread, but appears uncommon, being known from only 10 specimens and five underwater photographs. It is described from specimens from tropical eastern and western Australia, southern Indonesia, Mauritius, and Natal, South Africa. Its occurrence is confirmed from off western Sumatra, the Maldives, Chagos Archipelago and southern Taiwan by photographs. It differs from N. tuberosus (Lacèpede, 1801) and N. tonganus (Valenciennes, 1835

Abstract:
The atmospheric aerosol samples are collected in Beijing using a ten-stage cascade impactor sampler, and the elemental concentrations are analyzed by the PIXE analytical method. The parameters of particle size distributions are determined by the use of log-normal plots and the least-squares minimization. From these parameters the total amount of deposit in a day at the naso-pharyngeal, tracheo-bronchial and pulmonary are evaluated based on the deposition and retention models.

It has been reported in both immuno-compromised and immuno-competent patients and commonly presents in the extra-nodal regions, but it is more heterogeneous in immuno-competent patients. Its clinical course is aggressive with early dissemination and poor response to therapy. Abstract:
Background Barley grain size is one of the key factors determining storage capacity during grain filling. Large, well-filled grains also have a high malt extract potential. Grain size is a complex quantitative trait and can be easily affected by environmental factors thus the identification of genes controlling the trait and the use of molecular markers linked to the genes in breeding program is the most effective way of improving grain size. Methods Grain sizes of 188 doubled-haploid (DH) lines derived from the cross of a Japanese malting barley variety (Naso Nijo) and a Chinese feed barley v

Skulls and skeletons of 84 cranially mature bottlenose dolphins collected from South Australia were studied to distinguish morphological groups. The dataset comprised 38 skull measurements, 5 tooth counts/measurements, 6 coded skull features and 2 vertebral counts. There was no significant difference between sexes. Agglomerative, heirarchical cluster analyses performed on all variables and a dataset refined by eliminating those with high partial correlations produced two clear groups of skulls but with some differences in group membership between the statistical treatments. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma has a tipically insidious presentation, with often neglected signs and symptoms, thus more than 99% of patients are symptomatic on diagnostic 1. There are 5 types of presentation models: the rhinologic type (nasal obstruction, epistaxis, rhinorrhea), the otologic type (otorrhea, conductive hearing loss), the lymphatic type (bulky cervical neck masses), the neurologic type (headache, cranial nerve palsy) and the opthalmic type (diplopia due to cranial nerve involvement - III, IV and VI). This study aimed at designing mucoadhesive microemulsion gel to enhance the brain uptake of Ibuprofen through intranasal route. Ibuprofen loaded mucoadhesive microemulsion (MMEI) was developed by incorporating polycarbophil as mucoadhesive polymer into Capmul MCM based optimal microemulsion (MEI) and was subjected to characterization, stability, mucoadhesion and naso-ciliotoxicity study. Brain uptake of ibuprofen via nasal route was studied by performing biodistribution study in Swiss albino rats. MEI was found to be transparent, stable and non ciliotoxic with 66.29 ± 4.15 nm, -20.9 ± 3.98 mV

Psammomatoid Juvenile ossifying fibroma (PsJOF) is a rare benign fibro-osseous lesion characterised to grow to unusually large size very rapidly. Its usual presentation is in younger age group mostly children and predominately involving the Sino-Naso-Orbital region. Its aggressive nature gimmicks a malignant lesion but it is rather a benign lesion with a higher recurrence rate than the conventional ossifying fibroma but lacking metastatic potential. The high recurrence rate makes it essential that the lesion is not reconstructed immediately and thorough monitoring in the follow-up period. Lesi
