The present article shows the importance of landscape studies, and in particular, landscape mapping for education about nature. The article outlines the details on several noteworthy records of corticoid fungi discovered in the course of mycological observations in Prypiat-Stokhid National Nature Park (Liubeshiv District, Volyn Region) in October, 2019. In Ukraine, Byssocorticium atrovirens is apparently known only from a single record of A. Pilat, 1933, from the present-day territory of Carpathian Biosphere Reserve. The ecological potential of the soils of natural old-growth forests is analyzed. It has been found that the upper horizon of brown mountain-forest soils is characterized by excellent indicators of total porosity (63,63 %), soil water permeability (3,08 cm⸱min-¹), soil bulk density (0,88 g⸱cm-³) and catalase enzyme activity (4,9 cm3 O2 per 1 g of soil per 1 min). The article analyses the impact of recreational loading on brown forest soils by physical, water-physical, agrochemical and biotic properties. It was found that the density of soil structure on the trails increased by 1.1-1.9 times and field soil moisture decreases by 1.8-1.9 times. In the initial stages of recreational degression, the humus content is recorded slightly higher compared to the control area, while on trails with a higher recreational load, on the contrary, decreases by more than 50%. The Cladocera, Cyclopoida and Calanoida species diversity of the mountain part of the Stryi river basin is described. The objects of research were found in 48 lenthic water bodies (Zhuravlyne lake, Yavirske reservoir, numerous ponds, puddles, swamps, springs, and wells) and on 7 sections of the Stryi and Yablunka rivers. 24 species of Cladocera, 23 Cyclopoida, and 1 Calanoida are found.
