Abstract:

In Lithuania, there are two recognised native sheep breeds: old native Lithuanian Coarsewooled and Lithuanian Blackface. In addition, in 2005, primitive Heidschnucke-type Skudde sheep were imported to Lithuania and were argued to possibly represent a lost Lithuanian sheep type. The aim of the study was to investigate the genetic variation in the two Lithuanian native sheep breeds, compare them with the imported Skudde sheep and establish the historical patterns of admixture and the genetic relatedness of Lithuanian sheep to British, Central European and Nordic sheep breeds included in the SheepHapMap study. In total, 72 individuals, representing two Lithuanian native and imported Skudde sheep breeds, were genotyped using a Neogen 12K Illumina Infinium chip. The population analysis was carried out by model-based clustering, principal component analysis and neighbour net analysis, and showed similar patterns for the Lithuanian sheep populations. Lithuanian Coarsewooled and Skudde in Lithuania have unique divergence and possibly some shared ancestry, while the Lithuanian Blackface conforms to a modern synthetic breed. The study clearly showed that the Coarsewooled and the Skudde breeds are distinct from each other. Historical data strongly suggest that the Coarsewooled breed represents a local breed, while the Skudde origin is less directly linked to the geographical area of modern-day Lithuania. Within the modern-day Lithuanian context, the Lithuanian Coarsewooled sheep is very important historical sheep type for conservation.

Abstract:

Abstract. During two successive winter periods the ingestive behaviour of female fallow deer and Skudde mother sheep was observed during the day-light periods of a day in fourteen-day intervals. The animals were grouped together on an extensively used permanent fen pasture area with a stock of 0.5 large-animal units (which corresponds to 250 kg of animal living mass) per hectare. Sufficient quantities of fresh grass and hay were available. The results obtained show that the animals maintained their species-specific ingestive behaviour despite common keeping. As compared to fallow deer, the sheep spent markedly longer time with ingestive activities. There were only rare instances of rivalry and conflict (over grazing positions or hay-feeding points) between the two species. The animals of the two groups of species under examination are well adapted to the prevailing climatic conditions. They proved to be able to respond to extreme weather conditions as cold periods and snow storms. It can be rightfully stated that they are able to spend the winter in the open without harm to their health. Outdoor keeping in the winter period can be regarded as suitable for fallow deer and Skudde sheep in northeast Germany.

Abstract. Title of the paper: Slaughter value and meat quality of Skudde lambs The investigations were conducted on 100-day-old lambs of the Skudde breed and were aimed at determining the slaughter value of lambs and quality of their meat. The slaughter value was evaluated based on: body weight before slaughter, dressing percentage, loin »eye« area, perinephric fat content, contribution of valuable cuts in the carcass (leg, loin, steak) and tissue composition of legs. In turn, meat quality was assessed based on samples collected from the muscle of the thigh (M. quadriceps femoris) and included: dry matter, total protein, crude fat, crude ash, pH after 24 h, water/protein index, energy value, water holding capacity, colour brightness, muscle fibre diameter, levels of cholesterol, vitamin A and E, protein amino acid profile, fatty acid composition of intramuscular fat, as well as sensory attributes, namely: aroma, taste, juiciness and tenderness. Analyses conducted in the study demonstrated that the slaughter value of the lambs was at a relatively good level. A low body weight before slaughter (12.56 kg) was compensated for by very low adiposity of carcasses and by a favourable tissue composition of legs, i.e. 76.38 % of meat, 5.68 % of fat and 17.94 % of bones. Dressing percentage accounted for 44.03 %, and the percentage of primal cuts in the half-carcass was 38.77 %. Meat of the 100-day-old Skudde lambs was found to be of high quality. It was characterized by dark colour and specific sensory attributes, which makes it comparable to game meat. Low contents of fat – 1.56 % and cholesterol – 34.47 mg/100g, a high concentration of vitamin A – 5.25 μg/g as well as a favourable fatty acid profile of intramuscular fat indicate high health-promoting values of that meat. In addition, the finefibrous structure of muscles (fibre diameter of 17.24 μm) suggests that the meat is light and easy digestible. The results obtained in the study substantiate the advisability of a wider application of this breed for meat production purposes.

Abstract:

Increasing the dietary intake of K reduces the Mg absorption from the forestomachs of ruminants by decreasing the apical membrane potential and increasing the transepithelial potential difference (Vt). To evaluate genetic variations in the dependence of Mg absorption on K intake, we performed Ussing chamber experiments and studied the effect of Vt on 28Mg fluxes across rumen epithelium from different breeds of sheep. All breeds showed net absorption of Mg (JMgnet) in the absence of electrochemical gradients. JMgnet of Skudde was lower compared to Merino or Schwarzkopf sheep. Increasing Vt decreased mucosal to serosal Mg flux (JMgms) and increased serosal to mucosal Mg flux. The effect of Vt on JMgnet was almost identical in all breeds of sheep (−30 to −45% for a 25 mV increase in Vt). The effect of Vt on JMgms revealed a Vt-dependent and a Vt-independent component of transcellular Mg absorption in all breeds. Considering the driving forces for these two Mg transport mechanisms, the effect of K on Mg absorption will mainly depend on the feeding regimen, i.e. dietary K must have a relatively higher effect on Mg absorption at low Mg intake levels, which explains the correlation between pasture quality and tetany frequency as well as the missing effect of K on Mg status in some older studies.

Straipsnyje kalbama apie skurdo Lietuvoje paplitimą, priežastis ir mažinimo būdus. Išskiriamos šios skurdo priežastys: nedarbas, neturima tinkamo išsilavinimo, žemos disponuojamos pajamos, neišvystyta infrastruktūra ir paslaugos ir informacijos trūkumas. Siekiant sumažinti skurdą yra naudojamos tos pačios priemonės kaip ir mieste taip ir kaime. Tačiau kaimo vietovių specifika reikalauja kitokio priėjimo ir atitinkamai kitokių skurdo mažinimo priemonių. Autorė išskiria šias specifines į kaimo vietoves nukreiptas skurdo mažinimo priemones: kaimo bendruomenės, socialinis verslas, kaimo turizmas, socialinės paslaugos, konsultavimas, informacijos teikimas, kaimo gyventojų švietimas. Nesprendžiant skurdo problemos didės emigracija, socialinė atskirtis, nepasitenkinimas gyvenimu, konfliktai šeimose ir senėjanti visuomenė.

Straipsnyje svarstomi klausimai, susiję su, viena vertus, skurdo ar turto apibrėžimu, bei, antra vertus, reakcija į nusikaltimą Vakarų Europoje bei naujosiose Europos Sąjungos narėse. Autoriai pabrėžia, jog tradicinis bendro vidaus produkto kriterijus nėra pakankamas įvertinti skurdą ir suprasti tokiems reiškiniams kaip nusikalstamumas ir nusikalstamumo kontrolė. Šiam tikslui reikalingas žmogaus skurdo indeksas, daugiamatis skurdo rodiklis. Žmogaus skurdo indeksas atskleidžia atskirtį keturiuose lygmenyse: sveikatos, išsilavinimo, materialaus aprūpinimo standartų bei socialinės atskirties. Naudodamiesi šiuo įrankiu autoriai parodo stiprią koreliaciją tarp nelygybės ir įkalintųjų skaičiaus naujosiose Europos Sąjungos narėse. Daroma išvada, jog šiose valstybėse demokratijos įgyvendinimas atsietas nuo gerovės valstybės formavimo. Dėl to maža populiacijos dalis virsta ypač turtinga, o demokratijos raida ribojama. Autorių požiūriu, dažniausiai Jungtinės Amerikos Valstijos, o ne gerovės valstybė, yra laikomos raidos modeliu. Šiuo atžvilgiu pabrėžtina obligarchijos grėsmė, kylanti dėl didėjančio atotrūkio tarp turtingai ir skurdžiai gyvenančių piliečių.

Pristatomos pagrindinės skurdo rodiklių grupės, skurdo žemėlapio rodiklių lygmenys, sudarymo metodai ir veiksniai, tarptautinių organizacijų taikomi socialinę padėtį charakterizuojantys rodikliai. Antroje straipsnio dalyje siekiama išanalizuoti, ar Lietuvoje atliekamų tyrimų duomenų pakanka šalies skurdo žemėlapiui sudaryti. Naudojamas darbo metodas yra namų ūkių biudžetų tyrimo bei visuotinio gyventojų ir būstų surašymo duomenų derinimas. Atlikus skurdo žemėlapių galimybių analizę, teigiama, jog Lietuvoje visuotinio gyventojų ir būstų surašymo bei namų ūkių biudžetų tyrimo duomenų pakanka šalies skurdo žemėlapiui sudaryti.

Abstract:

Abstract. East-Prussian Skudden (Skudden) and Rough-coated Pomeranian Landrace (RPL) sheep are old endangered mixed-wool breeds. The fleece structure is unique for each breed compared with other characteristics in related breeds. Therefore, an essential factor in breed conservation is preservation of the typical fleece. As some RPL sheep show a tendency towards uniform fleeces, emphasis is placed on fleece evaluation in selection of flockbook ewes and especially in licensing rams. Currently, rams can only be presented at a minimum age of 1 ½ years when regrowth has sufficiently taken place. As these rare breeds are primarily kept in small flocks and not by shepherds, an earlier, preliminary selection for typical fleeces would aid in flock management. Fleece samples were taken from five body regions at intervals of 30–35 days beginning at an age of one month to 8 months, prior to shearing and after regrowth. Adult samples were graded and those of RPL evaluated for type and colour. Fibre types were sorted and counted according to presumed adult type as well as lamb fibre type. An attempt was made to find a point in development suitable for concluding the final fibre type composition, taking into account the final grade, type and fleece colour. In Skudden a preliminary selection is preferable at an age of 10–12 months. As RPL showed considerable changes in all fleece parameters between shearing and the adult sample, preliminary selection is not advisable.

Abstract:

Peromyia Kieffer, 1894, eine artenreiche, kosmopolitisch verbreitete Gattung der Unterfamilie Micromyinae (Cecidomyiidae), wird aus Tasmanien gemeldet und damit erstmals für Australien nachgewiesen. Es ist dies der erste Beitrag zur Taxonomie australischer Micromyinae seit 120 Jahren. Neun der 12 gefundenen Arten sind neu für die Wissenschaft: Peromyia grovei sp. n., P. nitoda sp. n., P. indecorata sp. n., P. warraensis sp. n., P. bashfordi sp. n., P. despecta sp. n., P. debilis sp. n., P. cinalata sp. n. und P. tasmanica sp. n. Vier der neuen Arten werden der Peromyia dissona Jaschhof-Gruppe zugeordnet, die für eine vorrangig westpazifische Artenradiation aufgestellt wird. Andere tasmanische Peromyia gehören Artengruppen an, die nach jetzigem Kenntnisstand in der Holarktischen Region und gelegentlich darüber hinaus weit verbreitet sind. Die Typen der von Ignaz R. Schiner und Frederick A. A. Skuse beschriebenen Arten australischer Micromyinae werden revidiert. Keine der 11 Arten gehört zur Gattung Campylomyza Meigen, 1818, der sie urspünglich angeschlossen waren. Campylomyza grandiuscula Skuse, 1890 ist tatsächlich eine Art der Gattung Pteridomyia Jaschhof, 2003. Die übrigen Arten gehören der Gattung Peromyia an oder ihre Gattungszugehörigkeit konnte nicht sicher ermittelt werden. Peromyia aeratipennis (Skuse, 1888) comb. n. hat Priorität über Peromyia muscorum (Kieffer, 1895) syn. n. und Peromyia impexa (Skuse, 1888) comb. n. hat Priorität über Peromyia palustris (Kieffer, 1895) syn. n. Peromyia pellax (Skuse, 1888) comb. n., syn. n. und Peromyia subtilis (Skuse, 1888) comb. n., syn. n. sind identisch mit Peromyia impexa. Abstract:

The flora of Chernihiv Polissya (northern Ukraine) is rich in rare taxa of desmids. One of these taxa is Cosmarium perforatum var. skujae Grönblad, the eighth documented occurrence of this taxon in Europe. Based on observations over several years, the morphology and taxonomy of C. perforatum var. skujae is discussed comparing it to the type variety C. perforatum var. perforatum living in the same habitat. Distinct morphological characters and differences in variability between these closely affiliated taxa are grounds for elevating C. perforatum var. skujae to the status of an independent species. In order to avoid homonymy with Cosmarium skujae Willi Krieger & Gerloff, a new name, Cosmarium tutum is proposed for this taxon.

Pētītas iespējas izmantot jaunas izejvielas stikla šķiedras ražošanā, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot Latvijas minerālām izejvielām – devona (Bāles atradne) un juras perioda (Skudras atradne un Pīlādžu atradne) kvarca smiltīm. Apstrādājot ūdenī Skudras atradnes kvarca smiltis, krāsojošo oksīdu daudzums samazināts līdz 0,066 %. Iegūto stiklu īpašību pārbaude parādīja attīrīto Skudru atradnes kvarca smilšu izmantošanas perspektīvu E-tipa stikla šķiedras ražošanā. Veikta arī citu šihtas izejvielu izpēte: kolemanīta, kianīta, kaļķakmens.Pielietojot augstas izšķiršanas spējas skenējošo elektronu mikroskopu, diagnosticēti stikla šķiedras defektu rašanās iemesli un izzināta to novēršanas iespēja.Study of Mineral Raw Materials and Defects in Glass FibresLatvian Devonian period sand from deposit Bāle and Jurassic period sand from deposit Skudra were studied, treated and compared with sand from existing Lithuanian supplier. Investigations of Latvian quartz sand showed that sand is characterized by surface impurities, which are easy to separate combining milling and water purification. These investigations and experimental glass melts using different types of sand confirmed that it is possible to use Latvian refined sand in glass industry.Other glass raw materials – colemanite, kyanite, kaolin, limestone – also have been examined.Glass fibre breakage points were studied using SEM, FTIR and X-Ray diffractions methods. Main reasons of glass fibre breakage are non-homogeneous glass and crystalline or gaseous inclusions coming from corrosion of refractory material. Australian Cecidomyiidae described by Schiner (1868), Skuse (1888, 1890), Koebele (1893), Felt (1915), Edwards (1916) and Rübsaamen (1916), totalling 111 species and three subgenera, are revised. Chastomera Skuse, 1888 is confirmed to be a junior synonym of Haplusia Karsch, 1878 and Gonioclema Skuse, 1888 and Necrophlebia Skuse, 1888 are declared nomina dubia. Twenty-two species are placed to genus, an additional four species are placed to supertribe or subfamily, all of them redescribed. The remaining species are declared junior synonyms or nomina dubia. Diadiplosis koebelei (Koebele, 1893) is a new junior synonym of Diadiplosis plumbea (Skuse, 1888). Dasineura tomentosa Dorchin, 2011 is a new junior synonym of Dasineura frauenfeldi (Schiner, 1868). Sphenolasioptera Kolesik & Gagné gen. nov. (Cecidomyiinae: Lasiopterini) is erected to contain Sphenolasioptera vastatrix (Skuse, 1888) n. comb. The following genera are recorded from Australia for the first time: Ledomyia Kieffer (Cecidomyiinae: Ledomyiini), represented by L. vitulans (Skuse), n. comb.; Bremia Rondani (Cecidomyiinae: Aphidoletini), represented by B. actiosa (Skuse) n. comb. and B. oreas (Skuse) n. comb.; Divellepidosis Fedotova & Sidorenko (Porricondylinae: Porricondylini), represented by D. pallidina (Skuse) n. comb. and D. indubitata (Skuse) n. comb. I begyndelsen af 80'erne blev der talt meget om, at vi var på vej ind i in- formationssamfundet og derfor havde brug for et landsdækkende bred- båndsnet. Man forestillede sig, at det skulle overføre data og billeder overalt i landet. Begejstringen var så stor, at regeringen på et forslag fra mediekommisionen faktisk vedtog, at det skulle vi ha'. Man undgik at diskutere, hvad det egentlig skulle bruges til og talte ikke om prisen. Men det var noget med lysledere til alle hjem i Danmark. Som overgangs- løsning skulle der etableres et hybridnet, som en sammenkobling af TV-fællesantenneanlæggene og telefonnettet. Efter nogle års tumulter i den offentlige debat blev hybridnettet vedtaget af folketinget i juni 86. Telefonselskaberne gik igang med at sælge det, loven blev revideret i 87 og nu er der stille om det altsammen. Hvad skete der egentlig med det bredbåndsnet, som det hele skulle ende med? Og hvad blev der af de informationsbehov, de samfundsutopier, og hele den teknologiske udvikling, som startede sagen i 80´ernes begyndelse? Var det et blufnummer iscenesat af smarte embedsmænd, telefonselskaberne og EDB-industrien? - Denne artikel ser på, hvad der faktisk skete og hvilke forestillinger og interessemodsætninger, der prægede beslutningerne. Til slut antydes, hvor telepolitikken har sine ømme tæer idag.

A total of 27 male sciarid types described by Skuse (1888 and 1890), held in the Australian National Insect Collection, Canberra, and the Australian Museum, Sydney, were remounted and examined microscopically. Of these, 25 species were described as Sciara Meigen, one as Zygoneura Meigen and one as Trichosia Winnertz. Revision of these species revealed the following: 13 species belong to the genus Bradysia Winnertz (B. amabilis, B. conjuncta, B. crassicornis, B. exsequialis, B. frequens, B. froggatti, B. luctifica, B. maesta, B. mastersi, B. ornatula, B. pernitida, B. pictipes, B. unica), 1 species to the genus Corynoptera Winnertz (C. minutela), 4 species to the genus Austrosciara Schmitz & Mjöberg (Aus. infrequens, Aus. montivaga, Aus. spectabilis, Aus. winnertzi), 2 species to the genus Pseudolycoriella Menzel & Mohrig (Psl. cavatica, Psl. ignobilis), 1 species to the genus Pseudozygomma Mohrig (Pseudoz. maculipennis), 1 species to the genus Sciara Meigen (Sc. tryoni), and 1 species to the genus Scythropochroa Enderlein (Scyth. macleayi). In total 26 species were new combinations. Eight species names were declared as new synonyms: Bradysia pictipes (Skuse, 1888) = Sciara notata Skuse, 1888 syn. n. and = Bradysia seticornis Vilkamaa, Hippa & Mohrig, 2012 (from New Caledonia) syn. n.; Bradysia conjuncta (Skuse, 1890) = Sciara serenipennis Skuse, 1890 syn. n.; Pseudolycoriella cavatica (Skuse, 1888) = Sciara familiaris Skuse, 1888 syn. n. and = Sciara festiva Skuse, 1888 syn. n.; Bradysia luctifica (Skuse, 1888) = Bradysia planistylata Vilkamaa, Hippa & Mohrig, 2012 syn. n.; Sciara tryoni Skuse, 1890 = Sciara insulana Vilkamaa, Hippa & Mohrig, 2015 syn. n. I marts 2017 tog vi til Cuba med 17 kandidatstuderende fra ’Turisme’ på Aalborg Universitet. Forløbet var en del af ’Creative Learning Camp’, som var en integreret del af 8. semester på kandidatuddannelsen. I forløbet blev de studerende stillet over for en opgave sat af en amerikansk NGO om bæredygtig turisme i Viñales, Cu-ba, som de skulle løse, og som de skulle levere til organisationen efter deres feltarbejde. Vi diskuterer i denne artikel, hvordan det at tage de studerende ud af undervisningslokalet til en for dem ukendt kontekst kan gøre deres læring anderledes og relevant for et senere arbejdsliv, da de skulle løse en opgave ’fra det virkelige liv’ kombineret med det at skulle begå sig i en helt ny kontekst. Vi er inspireret af Kolbs læringscirkel (2014), og vi diskuterer både peer learning og læring i grupper inden for denne teoretiske ramme. Vores antagelse er, at læringsprocesserne styrkes inden for PBL, hvis man inddrager en erfaringsbaseret og eksperimenterende læring i en virkelighedsnær kontekst. Vi betragter i denne sammenhæng de studerende som både medforskere og konsulenter.

Vienų motinų šeimos yra viena iš opiausių problemų Europoje dėl augančio tokių šeimų skaičiaus, gilėjančio skurdo, kuris siejamas su familializmo ideologijos ir skurdo feminizacijos padariniais. Šeimos politika tam tikrų keliamų problemų kontekste kuria sąlygas vienų vaikus auginančių moterų šeimoms gyvuoti arba uždaro į skurdo ratą. Nors Lietuvoje yra nemažai vienų motinų šeimų skurdo tyrimų, tačiau nėra išsamaus šeimos politikos tikslų ir priemonių tyrimo, kuris gali padėti suprasti, kodėl, augant ekonomikai ir kintant demografijai, vienų motinų šeimos yra labiausiai skurstanti šeimų grupė Lietuvoje. Tad tyrimo tikslas – išsiaiškinti, kaip Lietuvos šeimos politikoje yra (ne)atpažįstamos vienų vaikus auginančių moterų šeimos ir kokios sąlygos egzistuoti joms sudaromos šeimos politikos įstatymų kontekste. Tikslui pasiekti buvo kokybiškai analizuoti įvairūs įstatymai iš MISSOC ir Lietuvos Respublikos Seimo dokumentų duomenų bazių. Tyrimo rezultatai rodo, kad Lietuvos šeimos politikos kontekste aiškiai jaučiama familializmo ideologija, siekiama stiprinti ir didinti branduolinių šeimų ir daugiavaikių šeimų skaičių, tikintis išspręsti demografines problemas. Vienų motinų šeimos politikoje nėra matomos, nėra įvardijamos kaip politikos prioritetas ir į akiratį patenka tik tada, kai atsiduria socialiai remtinų šeimų grupėje. Taip pat yra siejamos su diskriminuojančiomis sąvokomis, tokiomis kaip „nepilna šeima“.

Tidligt i Kirkens historie er bøger blevet anset som åndelige våben. Denne tradition kan føres tilbage til jødedommen, men også apostlen Paulus har understreget betydningen af 'åndens sværd' i kampen mod det onde. I klostrene i middelalderen var biblioteket det vigtigste rum efter kirken og sakristiet. Biblioteket var ofte placeret ved sakristiet, og har givetvis haft sin oprindelse i den samling af liturgiske bøger, der fandtes der. Munkene skulle anvende de liturgiske bøger i deres tidebønner og messer i lovprisningen af Gud og kampen mod djævelen. Men ud over denne kontinuerlige brug af 'åndens sværd' forordnede Benedikt i sin Regels kapitel 48, at der for den enkelte munk hver dag skulle afsættes flere timer til læsning; denne beskæftigelse blev intensiveret i fastetiden, hvor hver munk ved fastetidens begyndelse skulle have udleveret en bog fra biblioteket, som han skulle læse i løbet af fastetiden som en særlig indsats for at fremme sin åndelige udvikling. I det hele taget blev biblioteket betragtet som et våbenkammer, jf. den gamle sentens Claustrum sine armario sicut castrum sine armamentario (Et kloster uden bibliotek er som en fæstning uden våbenkammer). Der er i dag almindelig enighed om benediktinernes enorme indsats som bærere og udbredere af den klassiske og kristne kultur, herunder bogkulturen, i Europa i hele middelalderen.

The article is divided into three main sections. The article first considers the question of heroes and villains in Kierkegaard’s authorship broadly speaking. It then outlines the different roles of ‘the tragic hero’ which exposes the most explicit and repeated use of the word hero in Kierkegaard’s works. Finally it turns to the poet and reflects upon the double role of the poet as perhaps the closest we can get to a “villainish hero” in Kierkegaard’s authorship. ‘Heroes and villains’ is not something that is much discussed in Kierkegaard literature, and this fact foreshadows what may be an immediate suspicion; that there are none such as such in Kierkegaard’s works because the mere making of a hero (in language and image) always somehow withdraws the possibility of the hero from his or her own story. The only true hero in that sense may be the poet, because he makes life comprehensible, and yet as such he is also the only true villain, because he breaches between life and faith, making both appear but none for real.

Abstract:

This paper presents the modelled raindrop size parameters in Skudai region of the Johor Bahru, western Malaysia. Presently, there is no model to forecast the characteristics of DSD in Malaysia, and this has an underpinning implication on wet weather pollution predictions. The climate of Skudai exhibits local variability in regional scale. This study established five different parametric expressions describing the rain rate of Skudai; these models are idiosyncratic to the climate of the region. Sophisticated equipment that converts sound to a relevant raindrop diameter is often too expensive and its cost sometimes overrides its attractiveness. In this study, a physical low-cost method was used to record the DSD of the study area. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to test the aptness of the data to exponential and lognormal distributions, which were subsequently used to formulate the parameterisation of the distributions. This research abrogates the concept of exclusive occurrence of convective storm in tropical regions and presented a new insight into their concurrence appearance.

Povzetek Dvaindvajset let po srečanju na vrhu v Kölnu, ki velja za zgodovinsko za SVOP, danes še vedno ne moremo govoriti o popolnoma funkcionalni in operativni SVOP. Prispevek analizira PESCO, CARD, CDP in EDF ter nekatere najpomembnejše težave evropskega obrambnega prizorišča, ki mu primanjkuje skladnosti in ostaja razdrobljeno v številnih vidikih. Države članice še vedno namenjajo veliko več finančnih sredstev za druge varnostne okvire, ki niso del EU, kot je na primer Nato. Prav tako države članice ohranjajo nacionalni fokus na področju obrambnega načrtovanja in v resnici zelo slabo izpolnjujejo dane obljube. Vprašanje je, kaj in koliko v trenutni evropski arhitekturi majhna država članica sploh lahko doseže. Prispevek osvetli vlogo majhnih držav skozi institucijo predsedovanja Evropskemu svetu. Abstract Twenty-two years after the EC meeting in Cologne where the CSDP came to life, we still cannot talk about a fully functional and operational CSDP. This article reflects on PESCO, CARD, the CDP and the EDF, and on some of the main issues in the European defence landscape today, which continues to be fragmented and lacks coherence in several aspects. Member States are still investing more in non-EU frameworks such as NATO, and still retain a national focus in their defence planning, showing very little discipline in meeting the commitments that they have undertaken. The question arises of what a small state can achieve in the current European architecture, if anything. The role of the small state is reflected through the Presidency of the European Council. Serbokroatisk har i modsætning til dansk nulsubjekter ved topicsammenhæng, dvs. når subjektet i en sætning er koreferentielt med subjektet i en forudgående sætning. Et pronominelt subjekt tolkes derfor i reglen som signal om topicskift og som koreferentielt med et andet led end subjektet i en tidligere sætning. Ved hjælp af en self-paced reading test blev 10 serbokroatiske indvandrere som var kommet til Danmark efter at de var fyldt 15 år, og som havde boet mindst 23 år i Danmark, sammenlignet med 10 danskere med dansk som førstesprog. Forsøgsdeltagerne læste en helsætning med en final adverbiel ledsætning med et pronominelt subjekt som ud fra ledsætningens slutning skulle tolkes som koreferentielt med enten subjektet eller det oblikke led i oversætningen. Resultaterne viste det forventede mønster: Deltagerne med serbokroatisk baggrund læste det relevante område af sætningen signifikant langsommere når pronomenet skulle tolkes som koreferentielt med oversætningens subjekt, end når det skulle tolkes som koreferentielt med det oblikke led i oversætningen. Kontrolgruppen viste en tendens til det omvendte mønster. I konklusionen peges der på betydningen af bevidsthed om de typologiske forskelle mellem dansk og de sprog som tales af voksne flygtninge og indvandrere som skal lære dansk.

Abstract:

L iberalismen fejrer triumfer i disse år. Da troen på velfærdsstaten og keynesianismen begyndte at krakelere i 1970'erne, blev kapitalismens markedsgrundlag revitaliseret, og de gamle dyder og dogmer blev fundet frem og støvet af. Nu blev alt, hvad der hæmmede konkurrencens frie udfoldelse, betragtet som en fare for vækst og velfærd. Fagforeningernes indflydelse på løndannelsen skulle begrænses, velfærdsstaten moderniseres, og incitamentstrukturen skærpes gennem reduktion af de sociale standarder. arbejdsløsheden blev igen betragtet som en naturlig del af økonomien, hvor det var den enkeltes eget valg, der var afgørende for, om man var arbejdsløs eller ej. Man kunne bare sænke sine lønkrav, så skulle man nok få et arbejde.

Abstract:

Ved de første kunstakademier, der blev oprettet i 1600-tallet, blev historiemaleriet anset for den fornemste genre indenfor malerkunsten. Denne vurdering skyldtes de særlige krav, som en god historiemaler skulle opfylde. Ud fra historiske værker skulle han fortolke en fortidig begivenhed og omforme det til fængende billedsprog. I slutningen af 1700-tallet blev det tilladt også at skildre samtidige historiske begivenheder, og historiemaleriet kom nu i høj grad til at tjene til forherligelse af fyrstehuse og store mænds bedrifter. I slutningen af 1800-tallet svandt interessen for historiemaleriet, der dog nåede en opblomstring både i Danmark på grund af De slesvigske Krige og i Tyskland som følge af kejserrigets grundlæggelse.

Abstract:

Straipsnyje yra siūlomas socialinės paramos sąlygų griežtumo indeksas, leidžiantis išanalizuoti ir palyginti šalių paramos sistemų griežtumą. Indeksui sukurti naudojami MISSOC ir EUROMOD duomenys. Taip pat analizuotas sukurto indekso ir skurdo, socialinės atskirties bei pajamų nelygybės rodiklių ryšys. Rezultatai parodė, kad Lietuvos socialinės paramos sistema pasižymi dideliu griežtumu ES šalių kontekste pagal visas analizuotas dimensijas. Socialinės paramos griežtumui turėjo įtakos ir paskutinioji piniginės socialinės paramos reforma, kurios metu buvo sugriežtintos kai kurios paramos teikimo sąlygos. Taip pat paaiškėjo, kad šalyse, kuriose dominuoja griežtesni paramos trukmės ir dydžio apribojimai, vyrauja didesni skurdo, socialinės atskirties ir pajamų nelygybės rodikliai. Atkreiptinas dėmesys, kad būtent paramos trukmės ir dydžio dimensijoje pagal sąlygų griežtumą pirmauja Lietuva.
