Hälsopromotion inom arbetslivet bygger på att skapa nya villkor som främjar hälsan. Detta kan ske genom att antingen påverka faktorer i den omgivande arbetsmiljön eller genom påverkan av arbetstagarnas levnadsvanor. Problemet som tas upp i detta arbete är att dagens systematiska arbetsmiljöarbete endast riktar in sig mot risker som redan finns inom företaget, istället för att arbeta med att främja personalens hälsa för att på så sätt hålla dem friska så att de kan prestera på bästa sätt. Syftet med detta examensarbete var därför att inom olika företag granska delar av deras systematiska arbetsmiljöarbete, med fokus på skyddsronder, utifrån ett hälsoinriktat perspektiv för att se om hälsopromotion skulle kunna bli en del av skyddsronderna i framtiden. Som grund till resultatet i studien användes tre olika företag. Från dessa företag intervjuades VD eller avdelningschef samt företagens skyddsombud. Dessutom samlades skyddsprotokoll från de olika företagen in. Resultatet som framkom utifrån de svar som gavs i intervjuerna och det som kunde utläsas från skyddsprotokollen var att inga specifika hälsopromotiva aspekter togs upp i dagens systematiska arbetsmiljöarbete. Det fanns heller ingen kunskap om vad hälsopromotion innebar hos de medverkande företagen men under intervjuerna kunde ändå det hälsopromotiva tänket ses i vissa svar. De intervjuade företagen ansåg själva att hälsopromotion skulle kunna bli en del i dagens systematiska arbetsmiljöarbete. Detta genom utbildningar, föreläsningar och målsättningar där företagshälsovården kunde komma att spela en stor roll. En god arbetsmiljö utgörs av gemenskap, aktiv friskvård, eget ansvar, bra fysisk arbetsmiljö och välfungerande ledarskap. Därmed finns stora förhoppningar om att hälsopromotion som en del av dagens skyddsronder skulle kunna hjälpa företag till att bli en hälsosammare arbetsplats med friska, hälsosamma och välmående arbetstagare.
Workplace health promotion is based on creating new conditions that promote health. This can be achieved by either affecting the factors in the work environment or through the effects of the lifestyle of the workers. The problem addressed in this work is that today’s systematic work of environmental management only focuses on risks that already exist within the company, instead of working with promotion of health of the employee and thereby keep them healthy so that they can perform optimally. The aim of the thesis was to examine existing safety inspections from a health oriented perspective from different companies with the goal to see how today's systematic work of environmental management is integrated within their work plan. Furthermore to examine if health promotion could be a part of the systematic work of environmental management in the future. To get information for the study three different companies were contacted. The manager and the safety supervisor from each company were interviewed and the safety protocols from the different companies were collected. Based on the answers from the interviews and the information gathered from the safety protocols, no specific health promotion aspect could be found in today's systematic work environmental management. The participating companies had no knowledge of the implication of the health promotion aspect, but during the interviews some health promoting ways of thinking was seen in the answers from the respondents. According to the interviewed companies, health promotion could be a part of today's safety inspections through education, lectures and by setting goals where occupational health services could play a major role. A healthy work environment is based on companionship, health preservation, individual responsibility, good physical work environment and effective leadership. There is great hope that health promotion as a part of today's safety inspections could help businesses to become better with healthier employees.

The construction industry accounted for 19 % of all work-related fatalities in Sweden between 2010 and 2013. The exam report has been done to find out what underlying causes there are to the high number of fatalities and to the occupational statistics of the construction industry. Moreover it has been reviewed what improvements can be done to reduce accidents and fatalities in the construction industry. The report consists of a survey of statistics, laws and regulations affecting the work environment and of literature concerning the subject. It has been conducted an interview and a questionnaire survey at the construction company Asplunds Bygg and an interview with an inspector from the Work Environment Authority. The interviews thus captured two perspectives on working environment, to give a better understanding of how the construction industry works with the work environment. The authors draw a broad conclusion that the production rate in the construction industry must be reduced to a healthy level to accommodate a work environment with reduced stress and carelessness, which in turn would reduce the number of accidents. This could be achieved by removing the chord wages. It must also be made organizational improvements where craftsmen are better informed about the work environment plan, risks, and procedures relating to specific construction sites.

The construction industry belongs to the one of the most accident- affected industries in Sweden. The most common accident risk on the construction site is fall. It’s important to find out in an early stage which risks are on the construction site and how they can be minimized and prevented.As apart of this work, a literature study has been done in which the Swedish work environment authority’s laws and rules have been studied. The conclusion of the literature study is that is important to follow the laws and rules to establish a good working environment and to avoid fall accidents.Construction site visits and participation to safety inspections have been made. The safety inspections protocols collected to analyze if there were any serious deficiencies. The construction site is of a high standard but there are some little opportunities for improvement.An inquiry has been distributed to find out how to fall can be avoid. The result shows that use the fall protection that exist, more job planning and own responsibility is important in order to avoid fall accidents.

Järntorget bygg AB arbetar med nyproduktion av framförallt bostäder. Liksom alla andra arbetsplatser i Sverige berörs en byggarbetsplats av Arbetsmiljölagen med dess förordning och författningar. I dessa paragrafer som alla finns för att göra arbetsmiljön så säker som möjligt finns krav på att en Arbetsmiljöplan skall upprättas, vilket är den individuella strategi som tillämpas på varje byggarbetsplats för att uppnå god arbetsmiljö. Dessutom finns på byggarbetsplatser ett ordnings- och skyddsreglerdokument vilket är det dokument som varje ny hantverkare skall ta del av vid ankomst för att känna till arbetsplatsen bestämmelser.  Genom att ta del av gamla skyddsrondsprotokoll, delta på skyddsronder och genomföra intervjuer på Järntorgets i dagsläget tre aktuella byggarbetsplatser kan det konstateras att överträdelser mot såväl Arbetsmiljölagen som mot den egna Arbetsmiljöplanen och ordnings- och skyddsregler sker. Näst intill dagligen förekommer det att hjälm och västkrav samt städning åsidosätts.  Fallskyddsanordningarna är inte alla gånger tillräckligt säkra och gasoltuber förvaras felaktigt. På skyddsronderna är engagemanget i säkerheten bristfällig och väldigt få underentreprenörer involverade. Trots dessa brister fungerar dock arbetsplatserna bra och inga större skador eller tillbud har blivit anmälda. Dock kan det i framtiden bli ännu bättre om Järntorget expanderar sitt säkerhetsarbete redan idag, innan olyckan är framme.
Järntorget bygg AB works with new construction, primarily residential. Like all other workplaces in Sweden a construction site must follow the Work Environment Act with its regulations and statutes. These paragraphs, which exist to make the work environment as safe as possible, have a requirement that a work environment plan must be established. The plan is the individual strategy applied to any construction site in order to achieve good working environment. In addition there is an Order and Security Document on construction sites, which is a document that each new artisan has to read and sign on arrival to be familiar with the workplace requirements. After reading the old safety inspection records, participating in safety inspections and conducting interviews at Järntorget`s three current construction sites, it is clear that there are violations against the Work Environment Act as well as against Järntorget`s own Work Environment Plan and Order and Security Rules. Almost daily the use of helmets and vests or cleaning obligations is neglected. Fall protection devices are not always sufficiently secure and LPG cylinders are stored improperly. On the safety rounds the commitment to safety is faulty and very few subcontractors are involved. Despite these shortcomings the different construction sites work well and no major injuries or incidents have been reported. However, it would be an asset for Järntorget to expand their security work before an accident occurs.

Bakgrund: Byggindustrins arbetsplats är komplex, ständiga förändringar sker och förutsättningar kan ändras snabbt. Byggnadsarbetarna löper högre risk än många andra verksamheter att drabbas av olycka eller ohälsa i arbetet på grund av en ökad risk vid t.ex. användningen av maskiner eller fall från höjd. På varje arbetsplats ska det bedrivas ett förebyggande arbete mot risker genom ett systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete med skyddsrond. Företag inom byggsektorn har identifierat ett behov av att effektivisera det systematiska arbetsmiljöarbetet vilket företaget BuildSafe AB tag sig an och skapat det digitala verktyget BuildSafe som ska effektivisera säkerhetsarbetet. Studien ingår i ett forskningsprojekt vid KTH där syftet var att utvärdera det digitala verktyget BuildSafe i byggindustrin. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka och beskriva arbetet med skyddsronder inom byggindustrin och identifiera framgångsfaktorer och utmaningar för att uppnå god kvalitet och effektivitet i skyddsrondsarbetet. Avgränsningar: Författaren behandlar skyddsrondsarbete inom byggindustrin avgränsat till Sverige, studiens undersökning avser inte skyddsrondsarbete i andra länder. Metod: Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ design med induktiv ansats. Det genomfördes en deltagande observation, en gruppintervju samt fyra telefonintervjuer. En semistrukturerad intervjuguide användes vid samtliga intervjuer. Allt deltagande var frivilligt och all insamlad data avidentifierades. Resultat: Resultatet visade att de identifierade huvudsakliga framgångsfaktorerna som skapade förutsättning för ett väl fungerande skyddsrondsarbete inom byggindustrin var delaktighet och engagemang i företaget kring skyddsrondsarbetet. Genom att använda ett digitalt verktyg skapades också bättre möjligheter till ett lyckat skyddsrondsarbete och med en god planering och bra kommunikation före och efter skyddsronden skapades förutsättningar för en god arbetsmiljö.
Background: The construction industry is a complex workplace, constant changes take place, and conditions can change quickly. The construction workers are at higher risk than many other businesses that suffer an accident or illness at work because of an increased risk for e.g. the use of machines or fall from height. In every workplace there should be conducted a prevention against risks through a systematic program of safety inspection. Companies in the construction sector have identified a need to streamline the systematic work which now Build Safe AB while addressing and created a digital tool Build Safe to streamline security. The study is part of a research project at KTH, where the aim was to evaluate the digital tool Build Safe in the construction industry. Aim: The purpose of the study is to investigate and describe the work on safety inspection in the construction industry and identifying success factors and challenges to achieve the quality and efficiency of the safety inspection work. Limitations: The author deals with safety inspection work in the construction industry confined to Sweden, the study does not address safety inspection work in other countries. Method: The study was conducted with a qualitative design with inductive approach. It conducted a participant observation, group interviews and four telephone interviews. A semi-structured interview guide was used in all interviews. All participation was voluntary, and all the collected data was anonymised. Results: The results showed that the identified key success factors that created the prerequisite for a well-functioning safety inspection work in the construction industry was the involvement and commitment of the company on safety inspection work. By using a digital tool better opportunities for a successful safety inspection work was also created, and with good planning and good communication before and after the safety inspection tour created the conditions for a good work environment.

Studien har genomförts för att undersöka hur gymnasieskolor med praktiska yrkesförberedande program arbetar med tillbudsrapportering och systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete. Genom intervjuer med skolledare och en inspektör från Arbetsmiljöverket har vi fått fram resultat om hur arbetet är tänkt att fungera på skolorna enligt lagar och planer. Vi har sedan genomfört en enkät med 30 lärare på de undersökta skolorna för att få en bild av hur mycket av det systematiska arbetsmiljöarbetet som är förankrat hos den underställda personalen.
