This paper presents a theoretical and experimental work performed on a glass solar still. The solar distiller under study was fabricated with cheap glass and the polyethylene as absorber, and was tested under the climatic conditions of the City of Adrar. The theoretical approach is based on the simulation of the solar still system. This study investigates the effect of meteorological parameters such as solar irradiation, and also, the effect of varying the water mass in the basin on the productivity of the basin still. To explore the characteristics of its flow field, this study built a 0.5-scale physical model of mold using Perspex. The effect of casting speed on flow field and surface flow speed was investigated by using an ink tracer experiment and contact measurement. There were various flow patterns in the ultra-wide slab mold, and they continue to transform each other. Abstract:
Pyro-metallurgy is still the main process for lead production and a lot of lead direct smelting processes have been developed in recent years. All the processes will experience two steps in common. The first is the oxidisation of PbS to PbO and then reduction from PbO to Pb, furthermore, from ZnO to Zn. So, the composition of melts, especially the slag composition at reduction step change continuously. Up to now, there are few systematic results on the slag physical-chemical properties with its composition change. In this work, the typical lead direct smelting processes were analysed from theo

Abstract:
The use of de-icing salts on roads during the winter months has caused corrosion damage to bridge reinforcements, which has increased maintenance costs. The corrosion protection system most widely used by various State Departments of Transportation is a combination of quality concrete, adequate cover, and fusion bonded epoxy-coated reinforcing bars. This report contains a summary of the latest developments in the fabrication and use of fusion epoxy-coated and Allium (stainless steel coated) reinforcing steel within concrete bridge decks and one-way solid slab and T-beam bridges. Abstract:
This review article summarizes the current state of knowledge on daylighting and electric lighting of cattle facilities for sustainable cattle buildings. The literature review covers a total of 54 publications with the aim to determine the extent of current research, identify research gaps, and formulate the most pressing areas for future research. The review process is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) followed by synthesis and analysis of the findings. The article includes multidisciplinary researches performed in animal and agricultural science, sustainability, architecture, and building
