In the article, based on the actual material of recorded 61 dialects of the Luhansk region, it has been conducted a lexical and semantic study of the Easten Slobodian names of crockery and kitchen utensils. <em>The article deals with the figure of Semen Klymovskyi, a Kharkiv Cossack and a Ukrainian poet of the early 18th century. The linguistic analysis of his famous song «Yikhav Kozak za Dunay» («Cossack rode beyond the Danube») is presented. This song was created on the basis of the Ukrainian folklore tradition and contains language features reflecting the Slobodian dialectal usage, which makes it an important historical record of the language.
