The study of architecture, urban planning and design at technical universities primarily offers a rational, technology- and practice-oriented education. The offer of a conceptual and socially critical approach to creation is only represented to a low degree. Students create projects that take into account the latest technical, environmental and architectural trends, but receive few assignments or conceive their designs as specific philosophical statements critically examining current social and political phenomena, whether on a local or trans-regional scale.
