The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was designed to reduce the number of citizens who do not have health insurance, and reduce the prices of health insurance premiums. Using multiple regression analysis, the effects of the components of the ACA, along with baseline characteristics of the states, are examined in relation to ACA premium prices and the rate of uninsured. We find that premium prices are higher in states with more uninsured, and states with more obesity have more uninsured. The policy was intended to address the negative outcomes associated with the over 4,000 youth leaving foster care yearly in California. Specifically, this analysis examined the impact the TVPA had on the victims of sex trafficking. This project utilized David Gil&rsquo;s (1992) analytic framework to evaluate the strengths and limitations of this policy. This analysis found that there have been some improvements in the prosecution of traffickers as a result of the passage of the TVPA. The policy analysis examines the Paycheck Fairness Act (PFA), a bill first introduced to Congress in 1963 and defeated on September 15, 2014.
