With the increasing technology adoption across all ages throughout the population, number of social media users increases and shows no stopping. Positive benefits of social media are widely reported with increased in well-being and life satisfaction. On the other hand, many users have decided to take a social media detox or even discontinue to use social media as they feel fatigued by it. Abstract:
Social media is a means of digital-based self-exploration, and the formation of personality traits such as neuroticism. Excessive use of social media, based on a strong neuroticism trait, can cause individuals to experience social media fatigue. This study aims to determine the relationship between neuroticism trait personality and social media fatigue in early adulthood. The method used is a quantitative correlational design. The number of participants involved was 136 early adults using social media, obtained using an accidental sampling technique. The scale used in this research is big five

Purpose Despite the various benefits of social networking services (SNSs), users have begun to experience fatigue in recent years, as evidenced by a decline in active user numbers. This relatively new phenomenon has only recently received significant managerial and academic attention. The antecedents of SNS fatigue are still unclear in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to identify the key factors causing SNS fatigue, based on a socio-technical approach. Fatigue is often defined as a mood state, a subjective feeling of tiredness or exhaustion that reduces our desire to continue working on a task (Bess et al., 2020; Hockey, 2013). Fatigue is ubiquitous, something most adults and children experience when struggling to complete a long or challenging task. Most of the time, all that is needed to recover from the fatigue is a quick break or cessation of the fatiguing task. In these cases, the negative effects of fatigue are minimal. For some individuals, however, their fatigue experiences may be more severe and sustained. When recurrent, this kind
