<p> The purpose of this project was to create a youth development program with the goal of promoting resilience among adolescents in foster care. Foster youth are especially vulnerable during the transition to adulthood and experience a higher rate of negative outcomes. A review of the literature revealed little support for the effectiveness of traditional approaches to transition-age youth such as independent living and transitional housing programs.
