Questions relating to social services and social security are the topic of our time. These themes are actually for all age groups since they are currently affecting or them sooner or later they will touch. The aim of this thesis is to answer the research question which sounds: "Why does Lata-Programs for youth and families, z.ú. and his program "Two are better than one" concluded his registration of social activation services for families with children in early 2016?" To find an answer, it is necessary to become familiar with non profit organization Lata-Programs for youth and families, z.ú., with its programs and its funding. It was also necessary to analyze the offered social activation services for families with children through the register of social service providers in capital city of Prague. This diploma thesis as a whole includes knowledge of theory and practice and it is based on the legislative situation in the Czech Republic 1st January, 2016.

The aim of this master thesis is analysing the accessibility of social services in Pardubicky region and analysing the accessibility of social services in the area around the town of Usti nad Orlici. In the theoretical part of this thesis is the definition of social politics and principles and models of social politics. Next, this thesis describes models of social politics in the selected states of EU- in Sweden, Germany, Great Britain, France and Slovakia. Following of this section follows description of the social politics and system of social services (definition, quality standards and types of the social services) in the Czech Republic. The last section of the theoretical part compares legislations of the social services in the Czech Republic,France and Slovakia. The practical part of this thesis is focused on social services in Pardubicky region. The introduction of the practical part describes the planning of social services in Pardubicky region. The next section analyse the accessibility of social services for different groups in Pardubicky region. More detailed analyses of accessibility of social services in Pardubicky region is focused on area around the town of Usti nad Orlici

This thesis deals with problems of social prevention services for at-risk families with children in the selected location. The main objective for the author is whether the current institutional conditions for provision of social prevention for vulnerable families it possible to avoid placing children in institutional care. The second main objective is to identify problems related to the provision of these services within the institutional settings. The author, using several theoretical and factual resources, describes given issue and translates it to the enviroment of the village with extended powers Ústí nad Labem. Through expert research with selected involved we identified the main barriers which prevent the satisfactory provision of social prevention in the selected location. In Ústí nad Labem there is the highest number of at-risk families with children in the Czech Republic and social prevention services at the location in question are not sufficiently supported neither financially nor in terms off staff.

Regional Family Policy Focused on Families at Risk Veronika Burešová Introduction: Diploma thesis deals with the activities of regional authorities focused on support of families at risk, in context of the process of transformation of the alternative care system for children at risk in the Czech Republic. The goals: The main goal of the thesis is to explore the approach of regional authorities to the issue of families at risk and what forms this approach. Methods: The research was divided into two parts. Firstly the case studies of thirteen regions (except Prague) were elaborated. Based on these studies, 4 regions were chosen, 2 as examples of good practice, other 2 as examples of bad practices. In these four regions, qualitative semi-structured interviews were done. As respondents a councillor and an officer of regional authority office were chosen. 7 interviews were finally made, 2 respondents answered by email. Outcomes: We can find family as a target group in most of regional plans for the development of social services, but it is usually not a priority. The key topics of this thesis are theoretical concepts that can be applied in practise and methods for social workers focusing on support of exposed families. The structure of this thesis correlates with the topic of the support of exposed families and children; basic theoretical outputs about impact of the primary relation of the children for its growth, questions of diagnostics for family function as means for effective help. Further, selected, in social work applicable for family therapeutic and intervention concepts, models of social work with families following hierarchy scheme prevention and intervention. The aim of this thesis is not to describe provided theoretical models or prioritize any of those models but to highlight the key points that can be useful for family focused social workers. Presented concept of this thesis assumes that social workers are mostly highly educated people in area of social and legal context of providing services however many times they are lacking in area of practical methods of social work, socio-therapy or family therapy as a tool for effective help to families. I focused my work on analysis of social services for family with children in one region in Czech Republic - South Moravia, with emphasis on services for threatened family or depressed family. My work is based on and has foot-hold on social service law. The objective of my work was overall review of present circumstances in providing social services for family with children in the respective region. Intent of my diploma work is giving to readers a basic overview about theoretical resort or let say a fall-back concerning a social services issues with family with children, especially with political and legal resorts and processes of social services deployment planning, and analyze current offerings of social services for family with children in South Moravia region. The essential parts of my analyses are demographic analyses based on official reports issued by Czech statistical office and analyses of Medium-term deployment plan of social services i South Moravia region in view family with children. The main objective of my work was to transparently capture the process of implementation of provision of network supervision in Chrudim through the action research method. The theoretical part has been dedicated to the description of supervision as one of important tools for professional growth of workers in helping professions. Experiences with the provision of interdisciplinary supervision in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic were described. The second part of the theoretical section was focused on interdisciplinary cooperation in the Czech Republic, specifically cooperation within the network of services for vulnerable children and families in Chrudim. In the research I used the method of action research, which is about dialogue and cooperation of all research participants. Action research investigation stems from everyday practice and aims to find the best solution to a given problem at local level. I used the methods of observation, self-research, focus groups and semi-structured interviews to obtain data. This thesis is focusing on families at risk of social failure in the Region of Karlovy Vary. The aims of this work are outlining social situation in the Region of Karlovy Vary, mapping network of social service for families at risk of social failure and finding out the most frequent problems these families are struggle with. Outputs are the recommendations for SOS Children's Villages in Doubí in Karlovy Vary based on above presented findings that tells which services for families at risk would be advisable to set up. In theoretical part of final thesis is defined the concept of family at risk and then based on foreign experiences are cited the principles of how to work with these families. Practical part is build on study of feasibility realizes by SOS Children's Villages Association, which was finding out neediness of social services for families at risk and children in the Region of Karlovy Vary, where this organization is considering realization of programs for family support.

Autism is a serious development impairment which is characterized by impaired communication and ability to develop relationships with other people, urgent need of permanence and other symptoms that seriously affect the life of an individual and people in their surroundings. The situation of autistic people in the Czech Republic is becoming better and better every year. Although the improvement of the services and care of autistic people is provable it is still impossible to consider the current situation satisfying. The objection of the diploma work was to find out the extent and quality of the comprehensive attitude to children with autistic spectrum impairments and to map the care of these children and their families. The research group consisted of four children with autism diagnosis in cooperation with their families. The research took place in day- and week-centres in Jihlava, while all the respondents used the service of the week-centre. The methodology of the diploma work is based on the principles of the qualitative research. The following methods and techniques of data collection were used in order to achieve the objective: method of participant observation, content analysis of documents, technique of half-controlled discussion and they were gradually completed during the survey. The basic concept of the comprehensive attitude to autistic children and their families is characterized by a purposeful interdisciplinary interconnection of care in the social, heath and educational area. It is logical that such pervasive affection as autism requires cooperation of many specialists of assisting professions and such assistance thus connects different areas of services to people. Facilities providing services in the field of social and educational services and guidance are irreplaceable as far as ensuring a functioning system that guaranties quality of social services, guidance and help to autistic children and their families is concerned. The only possible attitude is a better understanding of the world of the autistic people that differs from our ideas and practices so much. The contribution of my diploma work lies in the possibility to utilize its results in the field of ensuring a quality effective systematic care of children suffering from autism and their families.
