This paper argues that the World Wide Web provides a unique opportunity for sociological explication. It contends that sociological uses of the Internet for publication purposes have not as yet taken full advantage of the technology available, producing web facsimiles of printed pages. It highlights the potential for undertaking inquiries which employ the multimedia aspects of WWW technology and extends some of the insights from ethnomethodology and conversation analysis regarding retrievable data.

Full text
Abstract:
This theoretical article considers the potential for a revival of sociological interest in online embodiment by developing a conceptual alternative to the predominant framework of self-presentation, and showing how social theory may benefit from exploration of this field. It starts by critically reviewing the discussion on online embodiment, pointing out its theoretical shortcomings, and arguing that they result from the difficulty that social theory has with accounting for the increased ontological complexity of embodiment induced by the pervasiveness of digital technologies. Treating a theory of practice as an inspiring perspective, it then adapts the notion of translation as a general term capable of grasping the complex relationships between physical bodies, digital technologies, reflexive selves and the social aspects of online embodiment. An important advantage of this concept is that it makes it possible to see the role of technology as constitutive without losing the sociological perspective, and encompasses a wide range of contemporary body-technology interactions. Furthermore, it also has the potential to foster a sociological understanding of the relationships between bodily, technological, mindful and social elements, and to do so without slipping into reductionism.

Changes are occurring rapidly in the science and technology of horticulture, and changes occurring in other arenas of life are having, or will have, a significant impact on our profession. It has been said that there have been more significant developments in science and technology in the 20th century than in all the preceding history of humankind. Associated with changing technology have been great sociological changes. The impact of these changes, and others predicted to occur, on the science and profession of horticulture is the subject of my Presidential Address.

Abstract In this article is drawn attention to the social aspects of improving the quality of production. The relationship between the development of technology and society is still underappreciated. There is a vital need to make technical managers aware of the rules governing interpersonal relationships. This theoretical article aims to bring the basic concepts of social sciences closer to recipients focused on constant improvement of the production quality. The essence of the work process is primarily the fact that it is done by a human being and mostly in a group of people. This is related to the consequences of sociological nature to which managers do not pay enough attention. Instead of focusing on social and interpersonal problems they are dealing with organizational issues. The conclusion of consideration leads to underlining the need for constant improvement - manager training in social engineering principles.

Abstract:
The article focuses on the conceptualization of the sociology of suffering. The foreign experience of the development of the sociology of suffering in theoretical and applied aspects is considered. Modern researchers in understanding social suffering focus on psychological or anthropological interpretations, but the potential of the relevant branch of sociological knowledge is increasing over time. Meanwhile, the scientific problem is connected with two circumstances, which are reflected in this article. First, we are talking about the need to concretize the role of sociology in the study of the phenomenon of social suffering. Often the prevailing philosophical and psychological interpretations of suffering do not allow this to be done. In them, social suffering appears as an existential state of individuals or a phenomenon of their emotional and sensual tension and experience. However, in sociology, suffering needs to be objectified and considering it only as an existence cannot be productive for relevant sociological research. Secondly, modern studies of social suffering are mainly interdisciplinary in nature and do not reflect the special role of sociology in them. The article shows that the foreign sociology of suffering draws attention to a fairly wide range of phenomena associated with the emergence of social suffering. Here we mean the civilizational aspect, value-normative, sociocultural and others. The role of qualitative and quantitative methods in the study of social suffering is also assessed. Qualitative methods (for example, event analysis, intentional analysis, and others) allow us to present social suffering through the prism of object-subject relations. In this regard, some modern studies of social suffering are analyzed, which allow us to talk about the active development of the relevant branch of sociological knowledge.

Abstract:
This paper examines a specific food item - the Jumbo Breakfast Roll [JBR] - through a sociological lens, in order to trace the factors that contributed to its rise to prominence in Irish food culture in the ‘Celtic Tiger’ period of the late 20th/early 21st century. It also examines the development of these factors in the period following the crash of the Irish bubble economy. It is argued that the JBR arose at the intersection of a number of key trends in the food technology, retail, transport, distribution and construction sectors. Yet the JBR also had its antecedents in established foodways and traditions. It reflects on how the JBR could be interpreted as a ‘national dish’ that symbolised a particular moment in contemporary Irish society, and raises the possibility that a sociologically-informed analysis of such emblematic dishes allows us to explore aspects of national society, culture and economy within a globalised world.

Considering Edinburgh's prominence in the historical development of the sciences, it might be expected that the formal study of the history of science would appear as a significant feature in its university. Alas, this is not so, although there are signs that things are beginning to improve. If there is a deficit in historical studies of science, however, it is surely outweighed by Edinburgh's remarkable contribution to the sociological study of science and technology, which has even given rise to the designation ‘Edinburgh School’ to refer to a characteristic approach to the study of science that was developed in Edinburgh University. In this report I briefly consider the history of these and other aspects of the study of science, technology and medicine in Edinburgh as well as presenting an outline of the current picture.

Video is an important new instrument for sociological research, sometimes welcomed as the ‘microscope’ of social science. It provides access to important and otherwise difficult to examine aspects of human interaction. Moreover, because video captures practice in its lived production as ‘another next first time’ (Garfinkel 2002), it makes it possible to study practical creativity - the way in which people invent new practices. In this paper, I probe the microscope metaphor through concrete examples from my work with landscape architects and computer scientists in participatory technology research and design projects.

Abstract:
The article deals with the problems of analyzing the motivational component in the management systems of youth volunteering. The subject of the study is the totality of managerial relations that arise in the process of organizing the volunteer movement and the implementation of volunteer activities. The object of the study is the activities of volunteer, non-profit organizations. The problem lies in the possible outflow of volunteers after the first contact or event, without repeated or regular participation. It is important for managers and leaders of the voluntary sector to successfully involve young people in volunteer projects and develop their voluntary participation in the long term. The study of this issue will make it possible to form a holistic view of the significant aspects of the organization of the volunteer movement. The study is aimed at identifying existing approaches to motivating volunteers, finding the most effective ways to increase the level of volunteer motivation, developing tools to ensure a high level of motivation and involvement in projects of volunteer associations. To collect data on motivation in youth volunteering, the authors conducted a questionnaire survey, the participants of which were volunteers from Russian volunteer organizations based in higher educational institutions. The predominance of the non-material nature of the motivation of volunteers was revealed; a scale of motives was developed for testing volunteers and designing an individual route of volunteer experience in organizations. The unity and opposition of the types of volunteer participation in the concept of dual motivation of volunteers (altruism and selfishness) gives grounds for using a combined approach that takes into account various motives for participation.

Abstract:
Innovation happens as a combination or a result of various phenomena (i.e. entrepreneurship, business environment, interactions, etc.); it is almost impossible for a single discipline to explain it. Given that there are many facets to explore to cover all aspects of innovation, the present paper approaches this theme from the sociological perspective. Innovation is not a solitary, but an interactive phenomenon, which requires firms to cooperate to reach innovation sources, new processes and technologies. As a theoretical reference, this paper develops the argument of the importance of the firms’ interaction linkages and connections and their influence on the efficiency of the innovation system. So, in this context, the authors decided to adopt the survey method to examine whether or not interaction linkages have an impact on micro and small technology-based firms’ innovativeness in Brazil. The findings showed that interactions between firms and other innovation agents such as universities, research centres, financial institutions and other partners is essential for the development of open, collaborative innovation activities and have a direct impact on the level of innovativeness. Finally, this paper concludes that innovation is a result of the combination of various interaction linkages and not an isolated phenomenon restricted to the firm. As such, it may be appropriately fostered.

Abstract:
In this article the author, using examples from the recent past on data of the all-Russian polls, remarks on changing human environment innovations, which provide scientific and technical progress. The article investigates the impact assessment of the results of scientific and technical achievements, positive and negative predictions of the effects of an increasingly wide application of high-tech products in everyday life. A comparative sociological analysis of the studies' results, conducted in Russia and foreign countries regarding the impact of progress on humanity, is shown. The author's conclusions are presented: Russians refer to the achievements of scientific-technical progress as positive, but not so optimistic as, for example, Americans. The respondents are afraid of the intervention of new technologies in natural evolutionary and genetic processes, substitution of human relations to relations of order "technology and people", the proliferation of military equipment in civilian life. The author pays special attention to the role of women in environmental issues, which exhibits a strong response to the threats of environmental pollution and, as a rule, more critically perceive the environmental situation.

Abstract:
The article aims to review studies of various aspects of the Russian innovation system, which were conducted under the auspices of the leading sociological centers of the Russian Federation, in order to identify and compare the heuristic potential of the methodical and methodological approaches and models applied, as well as to conduct a secondary analysis of the empirical data obtained through them. Materials of research conducted at the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center, the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Association of Innovative Regions of Russia are used in the present study. A secondary analysis of the considered empirical data and approaches to their analysis in the context of improving the heuristic potential of the narrative institutional analysis of the Russian innovation system is carried out. The paper demonstrates that the consistency of narratives and studied data, including indicators of official statistics, is ambiguous. The article considers the interrelation of indicators and narratives about certain problematic issues such as the volume and sources of innovation funding, the importance of intellectual property rights registration for the innovation implementation, the need for long-term planning for the implementation of innovations, the state's focus on stimulation of innovation, the most and least innovative industries and types of economic activities.

Abstract:
The author examines in detail the topic of social practices of employment of people with hearing impairment. Special attention is paid to the following aspects: objective components of social employment practices of the hearing-impaired, features of the subjective side of social employment practices of hearing-impaired people. When considering these aspects, two vectors were chosen, firstly, the assessment of respondents' opinions on issues aimed at clarifying the main difficulties and actions taken by a disabled person when looking for a job. Secondly, the identification of the respondents' attitude to the actions of the state, public organizations, and the inner circle in relation to employment assistance for the hearing impaired, as well as the prevalence of acceptance of this assistance among this category of people. According to the results of the study, the following conclusions were made. It was not easy for all hearing impaired people to force themselves to solve the issue of employment, that is, internal motivation, personal organization make a huge contribution to the positive success of employment practice. Nevertheless, the practice of job search itself had a positive effect on the emotional state of the hearing impaired. Public organizations that help disabled people, in particular the All-Russian Society of the Deaf (VOG), play a role in successful employment practices: assistance in the selection of vacancies, psychological assistance, legal advice, all this determines in a certain way the success of the social practice of employment of the hearing impaired.

Protection of the water environment has become a modern socio economic issue in which the sociological pressures for a healthy water environment must be balanced with affordability. Reconciliation of these aspects requires clear political thinking and rigorous methodologies. It also requires a shift in mind-set which considers members of the public as customers. Water utilities are the major users of the water environment and potentially its greatest threat – so good delivery of water services is very important. The presentation addresses the topic through the experience of Anglian Water, a privatised water utility serving Eastern England.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to introduce how sociological traditions can provide a complementary, conceptual lens needed to better understand a country’s orientation in its digital transformation policies. While historically sociology has been used to study technological effects, introducing a sociological lens that considers broader macro digital policies can better complement a country’s national innovation system framework by highlighting where forms of acceleration and inertia in digital diffusion may or may not occur. Design/methodology/approach To formulate this lens, iterative literature reviews were conducted and four major sociological traditions (i.e. Durkheim, Functional-Utilitarian, Marxist and Micro-interactionist) were identified and integrated into one structure. The integrated structure was then applied to the French case of Minitel as a sample application. The French Minitel was selected because it is well-known and due to one of the author’s familiarity with the French culture. The description was based upon secondary data. Findings Through the use and application of this lens, the findings reveal that understanding a country’s specific orientation within a sociological tradition can help academics and practitioners determine what accelerates or provides inertia in the diffusion of new digital technologies within a country’s sociological frame. For the French Minitel, two dominant views seem to exist in France, the Durkheim and the Functional-Utilitarian view, which both affected the country’s path dependency in continued investments in Minitel. Research limitations/implications While policymakers are tasked with the development and implementation of digital transformation policies, a key consideration for both scholars and practitioners on digital policy and governance is to understand the broader macro ramifications of sociological frameworks on the evolving effects of digital transformation. While the authors provide a sample illustration, future research is needed to operationalize this lens and to apply it across various regions and countries in the development of new digital transformation policies. Practical implications As countries face considerable pressure to digitize their economies, policymakers require a better framework to advance the sociological aspects of digitization and its effects upon local institutions and actors in society. The paper provides a complementary lens that can better help them in this regard. Originality/value To date, policymakers and governments lack an integrated framework to understand the sociological effects of digital technologies and their diffusions along with their implications on societies such as on the framework of national innovation. The authors provide a sample integrated structure and sample application.

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to demonstrate the relevance of the usage of sociological knowledge for the development of aviation safety culture through the safety and security, Sociology of Safety and Sociology of Transport as an integral part of applying a systematic approach for strengthening the aviation safety. In the situation of globalization of the world, the structure of sociological knowledge in the XXI century is very branched. However, Ukraine has its own popular list of special and branch sociologies, which meets the specific challenges of the time of modernization of Ukrainian society. The goals of the industrial stage of its development stimulated the formation of Sociology of Labor, changing the focus of the goals of the economy from the basics of planning to market. That gave a powerful impact on the formation of Sociology of the Economics, the market, the individual, and so on. There were not identified the conditions, circumstances that should determine the application of the potential of sociology to comprehend any direction of human activity. Sociologists strive not to lose the integrity of reflection, as social science always gains more power, accumulating both empirical material and theoretical generalizations on significantly different aspects of social life, which can be taken into account in the development of each sociological industry. Therefore, security contains resistance to the Sociology of Safety, Sociology of Technology, Sociology of Transport, etc. Accumulation of such knowledge with necessity leads to synergistic effect and the growth of a culture of safety in aviation.

Abstract:
In the Russian Federation, the technology platform «Medicine of the future» is specifically identified in the sector of digital economics. In the «Medicine and health care» sector, diagnostic systems based on molecular and cellular targets, genomic, post-genomic and cellular technologies are singled out. In the «Pharmaceutical industry" sector, the breakthrough areas include such innovative pharmaceuticals as vaccines (DNA vaccines), hormonal agents, coagulation factors, drugs based on cytokines, monoclonal antibodies, drugs for demographically significant diseases, antiseptics. In the sector of «Production of new materials» the priority targets is development of nano-technology and nano-materials and technologies of elaboration of bio-compatible materials. The main target is training and retraining of personnel in digital medicine skills, organization of national technological platforms for on-line education, on-line medicine and adjustment of existing and development of new educational programs. The social alterations resulting due to health care digitalization are associated with transformation of the structure of labor market of medical personnel, giving rise to emergence of new medical professions at the scientific research junction. The social perspectives of health care digitalization reflect formation of «knowledge society», development of information society and digital economics as a whole, development of competitive technologies and services in medicine. The world expert community, implementing sociological and socio-economic research, confirms that digitalization of medicine and economics gave rise to the ideology of «Social Investment» («Impact Investing», or, otherwise, «investment in social effect»). The digitalization of health care and economics has led to the need of developing new civilizational paradigm, to the necessity of human dimension of technological and economic processes. The positive social changes caused by development of digital medicine, do not exclude the emergence of social risks, manifested in possible violation of privacy, patients' rights, reducing level of security and dangerous dehumanization of society, reducing the value of patient as individual in conditions of development of biomedicine and genetic engineering as areas of digital medicine.

Abstract:
The article defines the main vector of the direction in professional training of future social workers. Definitions of the concepts of social rehabilitation and rehabilitation process are considered. The main aspects of social rehabilitation are disclosed. Based on the analysis of psychological, sociological, complex models of social and socially pedagogical work, models of social rehabilitation are identified: psychological, psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, sociological. The most common approaches to the implementation of sociological models of rehabilitation for social work are analyzed: systemic, ecological, role-playing and radical. The general theoretical foundations of social rehabilitation are described as a component of social and pedagogical activity, their common goals are defined, namely, the preservation and support of the individual, the group in a state of active, creative, independent attitude towards itself, its life and activity. The peculiarities of the organization of social rehabilitation are outlined and the main characteristics of this process are determined. Firstly, this is a gradual solution of problems aimed at restoring the social status of an individual, forming resistance to traumatic situations, forming a person capable of successfully integrating into society. Secondly, social rehabilitation as an end result should be aimed at achieving the ultimate goal, when a person, after undergoing comprehensive rehabilitation, becomes immersed in the socio-economic life of society and feels integrated. Thirdly, social rehabilitation acts in the form of social technology, i.e. a certain way of implementing rehabilitation activities as a result of identifying individual operations placed in a certain relationship and sequence, choosing the most effective methods of influencing the client.

Abstract:
The subject of the study is the main and background institutional factors of medical tourism. It is proved that the background factors are, among other things, a complex of ethno-cultural components, the inclusion of which in the practice of the phenomenon can significantly increase the attractiveness of the host territory. Special attention is paid to such a factor as the ethno-cultural preparation of a medical tourist to stay in a different environment in terms of social interaction. The importance of the proposed approach in all types and forms of medical tourism is emphasized: health/medical, inbound, outbound, domestic (taking into account the polyethnicity of our country). The conducted sociological measurements (focus group discussions, mass survey) showed that such work with patients is not carried out. Health and wellness practices include the interaction of two social groups – the patient and the medical staff. In the case of medical tourism, the second of the groups is differentiated into two subgroups – medical personnel and specialists of the tourism industry. It is established that there is no unified scheme for ensuring the process at the level of collegial interaction of these two subgroups at all. The novelty of the research consists in actualizing this contradiction and substantiating the expediency of ethno-cultural preparation of a medical tourist to stay in a different environment in terms of social interaction in the context of multiculturalism. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to create an expert formation at the regional level, which could ensure the complexity of the interaction of both subgroups on the basis of public-private partnership and achieve a more capacious inclusion of the ethnocultural potential of the territory in the medical product. This poses the task of additional training of tourist specialists specifically for medical tourism - to work with patients in the direction of familiarizing them with the ethnocultural features of the receiving locus and with variants of models of interaction between a doctor and a patient.

THE TRANSITION FROM COMMUNIST TOTALITARIANISM TO a democratic socio-political organization and to a market economy system depends on several economic factors (capital, technology, skilled labour force, competent management) and also on political and cultural elements. The political speeches, whether delivered by government or opposition in Romania, underline almost exclusively the financial, technological or political aspects, neglecting quite completely the psycho-sociological dimension of this transitory period. The fact that the economic reforms somehow failed is only partly due to the lack of economic resources or to organizational setbacks. These are, of course, significant and undeniable reasons, but there is one more explanation rather forgotten, and that is the attitude of the Romanian population itself towards economic, social and political changes.

Abstract:
This paper applies neural network technology, a standard approach in computer science that has been unaccountably ignored by sociologists, to the problem of developing rigorous sociological theories. A simulation program employing a “varimax” model of human learning and decision-making models central elements of the Stark-Bainbridge theory of religion. Individuals in a micro-society of 24 simulated people learn which categories of potential exchange partners to seek for each of four material rewards which in fact can be provided by other actors in the society. However, when they seek eternal life, they are unable to find suitable human exchange partners who can provide it to them, so they postulate the existence of supernatural exchange partners as substitutes. The explanation of how the particular neural net works, including reference to modulo arithmetic, introduces some aspects of this new technology to sociology, and this paper invites readers to explore the wide range of other neural net techniques that may be of value for social scientists

The concept of digital natives is a frequently heard concept today. We live intertwined with technology. As in every field, technology has also taken its place in the fields of education. In addition to the advantages of technology products that facilitate the life of university students academically, physically, psychologically and socially, they also have negative effects in terms of physical, psychological and sociological aspects. Especially due to the misuse of smartphones, mobile Internet and social media, university students experience many problems such as technology addiction, nomophobia, netlessphobia and problematic social media use. In terms of socialisation, it is seen that university students are more affected by the psychological factors brought by technology, as they use it extensively in their academic studies and access to information. For this purpose, this study aims to determine the views of university students on the psychological effects of technology. Within the scope of this general purpose, a study was conducted with 84 university freshmen. In order to reach the aim of the research, five open-ended questions developed by the researcher were asked. As a result of the research, it has been revealed that university students have problems because they do not use technology correctly. This situation disrupts social relationships and affects communication. The use of technological tools by students may cause social phobia, communication problems, academic success, emotional turmoil and physical harm to physical health. For conscious use, it can be recommended to inform students by giving trainings. Keywords: University, digital natives, technology, psychology, education, media;

Abstract:
Along with socio-cultural changes and the development of Islam that has spread to almost all parts of the world, it demands a reinterpretation of religious texts, considering the rules made by previous scholars have not yet accommodated the changes, especially related to the position of women. This change has become the idea for ladies activists to reinterpret the principles that are determined by ancient scholars that aren’t any longer relevant and interpret new things that haven’t been mentioned by the students. The debate over gender issues is unavoidable, especially between women activists and figures who consider the works of ancient scholars to still be relevant and think there is no need for reinterpretation. The purpose of this study is to provide a reinterpretation of religious texts related to gender understanding, especially those related to the position of women, especially for spots that demand equality with men. The research used is qualitative research in the form of literature study, with a hermeneutic approach and prioritizing theological, sociological and philosophical aspects. The results of this study illustrate that in addition to its nature, Islam also positions women so high and noble, in certain positions they have an equal position and degree with men, not only in their position in terms of religion, but also in other aspects, such as cultural, social, politics and other aspects.

The aim of the paper is to draw attention to the importance of human creativity in the context of technology development, with special emphasis on artificial intelligence. For the purpose of exploration, the study applies philosophical methods, especially methods typical of ethical reflections, also supported by the analysis of existing data derived from social sciences, especially contemporary sociology. The study is synthetic in nature and includes theoretical considerations concerning several issues. Positive and creative possibilities of using artificial intelligence in social and economic life were shown. Potential threats that may be associated with the inappropriate use of artificial intelligence – robots and information systems were also identified. Potential threats resulting from too much trust of people in algorithms were shown. Attention is focused on social and ethical aspects of the human-machine relationship, with special emphasis on the dimension of pragmatism, trust and fascination with new technologies, as well as the principles of robot ethics. A significant part of the considerations also refers to the effects of automation processes, including the functioning of the labour market, human creative abilities and appropriate competences. The third part of the study indicates still undeveloped research fields related to artificial intelligence. The article discusses the problems of distance learning. They are relevant due to the increase in the demand for continuing education, the development of teaching methods for humanities, particularly history. Distance learning in history is related to the task of shaping historical thinking. The purpose of the article is to study the attitude of university lecturers and students towards distance learning in history classes. The empirical basis of the article was the results of a sociological survey conducted among the students of Togliatti State University in 2021 (N=287).The analysis of the survey results shows that the students’ views on distance learning in history are divided. About half of the students are positive about this mode of study, and the other half are negative. There were more respondents among young males, as well as technical students, who described the history distance learning sessions positively. The students are attracted by the extensive use of Internet sources and visual materials. Among girls, as well as humanities students, there are more of those who have a negative attitude towards distance learning in history. The negative aspects are related to technical problems, as well as the lack of direct communication with the teacher. The respondents who do not have a high level of interest in studying history are more likely to express a positive attitude towards distance learning. In contrast, the respondents who are interested in history are more likely to have a negative attitude towards this form of training.

Inability to plan and to time, to work on their own appeared for the students to be a serious problem in mastering teaching material. The main problem was educational process technique. Some students do not have necessary technique (the uninterrupted Internet, a web-camera, their own laptop or computer). It is also necessary to emphasize positive aspects of the abrupt transition to the distance format of training. Teachers were forced to master quickly the work on Internet platforms, to learn to develop online courses of academic subjects, to be in active search of effective forms of interaction with students and colleagues using distance technologies. Students had also to study in new environment, to develop communication skills, to time effectively. It became quite obvious that distance education technologies use is not a remote prospect but our day. Studying experience of distance technologies use in FA NAU and other institutions of higher education in Ukraine, it is necessary to aim that LMS MOODLE would contribute to rise level and quality of methodological, didactic, information support of educational process management of education applicants, educationalists and managers of Flight Academy of NAU. Key words: higher education, distance learning, information and communication technologies, pandemic restrictions, initiative sociological research

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of the origins of the method of profiling the identity of an unknown criminal. The development of the application of the possibilities of profiling the personality of a criminal and the practice of its application in the activities of law enforcement agencies in the investigation of crimes are investigated. Based on the concept of profiling, as from English. Profile is an integrated crime prevention technique by highlighting the characteristics of persons who committed a crime or are preparing to make it on the basis of psychological, criminological, criminalistic and sociological knowledge; a set of methods and techniques for assessing and predicting human behavior based on the analysis of the most informative signs, forensic portrait of a person, characteristics of appearance, non-verbal and verbal behavior, location, etc. We noted that there is a lot of research by foreign and Ukrainian scientists on the problems of using profiling technology, but not enough attention has been paid to the history of the practice of applying the profiling method. The main names of scientists and the features of their teachings were listed in the abstract, as the stages of development of the introduction of the profiling method in the practice of disclosing and investigating crimes by law enforcement agencies. We said that now the technology of the profiling method is not used as a mandatory measure in the investigation and disclosure of crimes. There are fundamentals of such activities, but it is too early to talk about the widespread use of profiling. At the same time, it can be noted that profiling was successfully used in the disclosure of some resonant crimes related to serial killings. We agreed with individual authors that research on forensic profiling and the behavioral aspects of crimes in Ukraine are in the early stages of development. We noted that since profiling is a young science, it is constantly evolving, and its fields of application are expanding. Today, profiling techniques are used in the field of preventive medicine to correct and prevent the emergence of diseases of psychosomatic etiology. There is also the so-called family profiling, with the help of which specialists try to help family members in solving their family problems. In addition to forensic, criminal and criminological, there is aviation, anti-terrorist, research, psychological, information security profiling, typological. Also, transport, hotel business profiling, personnel, banking and the like. We concluded that profiling technology is a universal comprehensive and modern tool that is advisable to use in law enforcement agencies in investigative, operational, personnel and administrative activities, etc. The history of its development is only gaining momentum. However, today, in law enforcement agencies, not only the profiling technique is not widely used. They do not use this term at all.

Abstract:
Every religion teaches the values of tolerance and longing for peace. Islam as a concept of tolerance for differences is called social necessity in the reality of religious diversity, because in the concept of social necessity, there are values of love, wisdom (wisdom), universal benefit, and justice. The question is, is tolerance a religious obligation or a social imperative? This study uses a qualitative methodology with a normative approach. The findings in this study indicate that tolerance in this context is viewed from several aspects, namely theological, sociological and cultural. With tolerance, it is hoped that humans will be able to recognize diversity, including religious diversity, which is called pluralism. In addition to tolerance and pluralism, the concept of religious dialogue is also present to create such harmony, as Islam exemplifies with the example of Muhammad SAW as a prophet while in Medina who protected every citizen, both Muslim and non-Muslim from his enemies, so that the Medina charter was created.

Abstract:
ANNOTATION: the article is devoted to the study of the basic directions of justification of the need for legal pluralism in the modern world. It is proved that the arguments of the supporters of the concept of legal pluralism can be systematized by distinguishing the substantive legal, cultural-psychological, global-historical and pragmatic aspects of the studied issues. The substantive-legal aspect of the justification of legal pluralism is connected with the understanding of law as a phenomenon, which is not limited to state-government normative prescriptions, but also permits the existence of relatively autonomous legal systems created by different social groups. This approach is most consistently advocated by representatives of the sociological school, social anthropology and the communicative theory of law. The cultural-psychological aspect of the justification of legal pluralism is connected with the fact that in modern society exist a significant number of ethno-cultural communities, each of which has a special understanding of equality, freedom, justice and order. Ignoring the cultural and religious diversity of the population by the state can lead to informal regulatory practices, shadow law and shadow justice. The global-historical aspect of the justification of legal pluralism reflects the impact of globalization, information technology, postmodern philosophy on the development of state and law. In the world today, there are many organizations with their own legal order and the ability to exert legal influence over different entities, regardless of their nationality. The pragmatic aspect of the justification of legal pluralism is oriented towards ensuring the effectiveness of legal regulation, since centralized state-government regulation does not always ensure the proper achievement of the objectives of law. This thesis is illustrated by the example of Latin American law. It is concluded that each of these aspects is sufficiently substantiated, and together they form a reliable "framework" of the scientific justification for the need for legal pluralism in the modern world.

Abstract:
The decision to release is known as the "vrijspraak" decision in the Continental European family of law. In general, the defendant is released after being found illegally and convincingly guilty of the crime charged by the prosecutor/public prosecutor in the indictment. We can see the acquittal in case Number: 2/Pid/Sus-TPK/2019/PN.Tjk. This study aims to determine the basis of the judge's legal considerations in imposing an acquittal and how the perpetrators of corruption are held accountable. This study uses a qualitative method: data collection techniques using library research and field studies, which are enriched by interview data sources. Based on the research results, the actions of Defendant Idhamsyah did not meet the elements stated in the Subsidiary indictment by the Public Prosecutor, so the defendant was not legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption. Defendant as PPK did not meet the criteria for the element of "everyone" as stated by the Public Prosecutor, so the element of "everyone" was not fulfilled in the defendant's actions, according to the Panel of Judges. The judge advises dealing with corruption cases to be fair rather than harsh. Judges must consider all aspects of a juridical, philosophical, and sociological nature when deciding a case so that the court's decision falls under the decision of substantive justice.
