Abstract:
And the second day my mother came with my brother and my sister and they brought food because we didn't have anything, and she kept on shouting “Sofi, Sofi, Sofi” … there was an entire convoy, many wagons, and they had those small kind of windows like for animals … and she kept yelling,… “Sofi, Sofi, Misi, Misi” … a military man was there, at the door, and I pleaded with the officer “Please, let our mother give me some food because we have nothing” and he opened the door a tiny bit so we could pull the sack with everything through … and the next day they took us … they took us … they said they were taking us to Siberia but they took us to Donbass, and there, in Donbass, they put us in a camp.

Abstract:
Correlative light and electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-CLEM) combines information from the specific labeling of fluorescence cryo-microscopy (cryo-FM) with the high resolution in environmental context of electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM). Exploiting super-resolution methods for cryo-FM is advantageous, as it enables the identification of rare events within the environmental background of cryo-EM at a sensitivity and resolution beyond that of conventional methods. However, due to the need for relatively high laser intensities, current super-resolution cryo-CLEM methods require cryo-protectants or support films which can severely reduce image quality in cryo-EM and are not compatible with many samples, such as mammalian cells. Here, we introduce cryogenic super-resolution optical fluctuation imaging (cryo-SOFI), a low-dose super-resolution imaging scheme based on the SOFI principle. As cryo-SOFI does not require special sample preparation, it is fully compatible with conventional cryo-EM specimens, and importantly, it does not affect the quality of cryo-EM imaging. By applying cryo-SOFI to a variety of biological application examples, we demonstrate resolutions up to ∼135 nm, an improvement of up to three times compared with conventional cryo-FM, while maintaining the specimen in a vitrified state for subsequent cryo-EM. Cryo-SOFI presents a general solution to the problem of specimen devitrification in super-resolution cryo-CLEM. It does not require a complex optical setup and can easily be implemented in any existing cryo-FM system.

Abstract:
The field of super-resolution microscopy continues to progress rapidly, both in terms of evolving techniques and methodologies as well as in the development of new multi-disciplinary applications. Two current drivers of innovation are increasing the possible resolution gain and application in live samples. Super-resolution optical fluctuation imaging (SOFI) is well suited to live samples while expansion microscopy (ExM) enables obtainment of sub-diffraction information via conventional imaging. In this Highlight we provide a brief outline of these methods and report results from application of SOFI and ExM in our on-going study into microtubule remodelling by rabies virus P proteins. We show that MT bundles in live cells transfected with rabies virus P3 protein can be visualised using SOFI in a time-lapse fashion for up to half an hour and can be expanded using current Pro-ExM protocols and imaged using conventional microscopy.

Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate gender differences in score on 28-joint Disease Activity Score (DAS28), Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) and Signals Of Functional Impairment (SOFI) and to relate these scores to radiographic joint destruction. Methods:In all, 549 patients with early RA (62% women) from the BARFOT (for “Better Anti-Rheumatic FarmacOTherapy”) study were included. At baseline, 1, 2 and 5 years DAS28, HAQ and SOFI scoring, and radiographs of hands and feet were performed. The radiographs were scored using the van der Heijde–Sharp score. Results:In women the DAS28 was significantly higher than in men due to higher scores for general health and tender joints. Likewise, HAQ and VAS pain were rated significantly higher in women. The SOFI score was worse in men during the first 2 years, depending on higher upper limb scores. Total Sharp score (TotSharp), erosion score and joint space narrowing score did not differ between the sexes at any time point. The DAS28 area under the curve (AUC) correlated significantly with TotSharp at 5 years in both genders (r = 0.316, r = 0.313) mainly owing to swollen joints and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). The SOFI AUC correlated significantly with TotSharp in women (r = 0.135 to 0.220) but not in men. Conclusions:Despite a similar degree of radiographic joint destruction women had, compared with men, worse scores for DAS28 and HAQ, possibly due to higher pain perception and less muscular strength and perhaps because men overestimate their functional capacity.

Abstract:
The Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI) has been tested in different languages and populations; thus, there is a need for a culturally adapted Korean version. We evaluated the psychometric properties of a Korean version of the SOFI among construction workers. The SOFI was translated into Korean and reviewed through a back-translation process involving standardized scaling procedures. Its reliability and validity were evaluated with a sample of 193 construction workers using internal consistency, item–subscale correlations, test–retest reliability, and content, construct, and concurrent validity. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of the total scale and each subscale were satisfactory. Item–subscale correlations and test–retest reliability were both at acceptable levels. Confirmatory factor analyses revealed that the five-factor model had acceptable model fits corresponding to the structure of the original instrument. However, some modifications were made to improve in the new context from model fit (such as χ2(95) = 113.905 (p = 0.091), CFI = 0.994, and RMSEA = 0.033, as well as the lowest AIC = 383.905). Correlation analysis showed a significant relationship of SOFI with other fatigue measures in terms of total and subscale scores. Occupational fatigue is one of the important risk factors associated with workers’ health and safety at work. The new translated instrument is a reliable and valid tool for assessing fatigue among Korean construction workers. However, this instrument should be tested extensively in other working populations to devise specific interventions concerning fatigue reduction.

Abstract:
The Standard Output of Forest Index (SOFI) describes the ability of forests to produce financial value from wood production based on the standardized monetary value of the mean annual increment of the potential final harvest relative to a reference forest type. It can be applied on regions where the forests can be classified into major tree species or species groups and into site classes. The potential volume of final wood harvest is estimated through yield tables. Using the share of lowquality and high-quality wood product groups in the final harvest, and their respective standardized price, the output value of the final harvest is expressed and then divided by the rotation age. This standardized output is compared to a reference forest type identified by its tree species and site class, and multiplied by 10 points. The SOFI of the reference forest, therefore, is 10, while higher values represent higher potential output and smaller values represent smaller potential output. With the necessary modifications, the SOFI can be applied to uneven-age forests as well. It can primarily be used to describe and compare the financial output potential of larger forest areas.

Over the years of her life in art she decorated with frescoes and stained glass more than 24 cathedrals and churches all around Poland ”from Yaroslav to Western borders”. Reff ering to Bizantine artistic tradition and using theoretical and methodical principles of early Boychuk’s school, she worked at the same time with modern expressive plastic forms and brought to new life sophisticated colorism of Old-Polish Gothic. Nevertheless, authentic and self-suffi cient artistic approach, developed by Sofi a Baudouin de Courtenay, until recently was left behind the offi cial art historical knowledge in Polish humanities.

2 real modules made by film type substrate are introduced in this article. For the first example module, a micro-processing module included 1 GHz microprocessor, LPDDR SDRAM/NAND flash combo memory and power management IC are packaged in one single module by using a 6-layer film type substrate. With small size (20×17 mm) and functions for HD resolution video and multimedia, this module has been used in smart watches and multimedia devices. The substrate in the first module has 2000 IOs and 6 layers with only 70um thickness. For the second example module, a low power microprocessor and a Bluetooth 4.0 dual mode chip are packaged in one module by using 4-layer film type substrate. With tiny size (9.5×7.3mm) and the function for managing sensors and low power wireless communication, this module has been used in various IoT devices. In this article, the process of the film type substrate and the assembly process of the modules are also shown and discussed. We disclose the novel packaging structure as called system on film (SoFi). Our system on film (SoFi) is a packaging platform by using our film type substrate. As previous examples showed, system on film (SoFi) can miniaturize high performance modules and be applied in IoT devices very well.

Abstract:
Purpose To propose a hearing health care tool kit, for use in primary care, that includes a new, comprehensive, and easy-to-administer self-report tool, namely, the Screening for Otologic Functional Impairments (SOFI). The target population for the proposed tool kit includes older adults with multimorbidity who are (a) at risk for hearing-related functional deficits and/or (b) likely to benefit from targeted audiologic interventions designed to optimize function, support independence, maximize safety, and cultivate self-sufficiency and social connectedness (American Academy of Nursing's Expert Panel on Acute and Critical Care, 2012). Method Twenty-nine older adults with varying levels of hearing impairment drawn from 2 ear, nose, and throat clinics and 1 university clinic underwent hearing testing and completed a series of self-report tools designed to assess otologic function and depression. All of the participants completed the SOFI on 2 occasions. Results The SOFI has high reliability and validity and the potential for identifying older adults requiring audiologic intervention. Conclusion The proposed tool kit, for use in primary care, includes several components that are integral to help-seeking behavior. The goal is to identify older adults with multimorbidity who are at risk for otologic conditions, that, once identified and treated, may help promote older adults' quality of care and life.

Abstract:
Milkfish is a marine commodity that has a lot of potential to be developed, one of which is soft-boned milkfish in Semarang City. Mbak Sofi's Milkfish Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) of “Bandeng Mbak Sofi” is one of the MSMEs that processes fresh milkfish into soft-boned milkfish. However, the milkfish processing in the MSME is still relatively simple and there is no good management of MSME management. This service aims to help Mbak Sofi's milkfish MSME in an effort to increase innovation and quality of the milkfish processing produced and its management. The main problems faced by the partner are the relatively short shelf life of soft-boned milkfish, limited facilities and infrastructure for processing, management of MSME management, and marketing. Some of the steps that will be taken for the implementation of this program are the provision of supporting infrastructure for the processing and the innovation of milkfish processing. In addition, for regulatory processes, PIRT has been issued for soft-boned milkfish products and other products. Lack of creativity in processing can be given a solution by increasing the innovation of milkfish-based products. Production management, finance, distribution and marketing will also be the focus of this program. With the implementation of this service program, the quality of the soft-boned milkfish is better and is able to compete in a wider market.

Abstract:

Guzel Jahinan esikoiskirjan Suleika avaa silmänsä (2015, suom. 2016) saamat arvostelut Venäjällä muistuttavat Sofi Oksasen vastaanottoa: aloitteleva, suurelle yleisölle tuntematon – tässä tapauksessa venäjäksi kirjoittava tataaritaustainen kirjailija – julkaisee naisen elämästä romaanin, joka kertoo Neuvostoliiton synkänraskaista historian tapahtumista ja traumaattisista kokemuksista, minkä jälkeen hän herää yllättäen kuuluisana ja voittaa useita arvostettuja kirjallisuuspalkintoja.

Abstract:
The article outlines the possible prototypes of one of the characters of I. A. Goncharov’s novel "The Precipice" — Sofi a Belovodova. The author of the novel arguably left no evidence concerning any prototypes for this character, and claimed that the image was artifi cial. Nevertheless, years of research by the Goncharov scholars made it possible to pinpoint several persons in the writer’s entourage who might have been involved in prototype situations that corresponded to the plot of the novel. These are E. V. Sukhovo-Kobylina (Evgenia Tur) and N. I. Nadezhdin (in the position of Teacher Yelnin), E. I. Drutskaya-Sokolinskaya, E. V. Tolstaya (and Goncharov himself in the position of Rajskii), Princess Z. A. Volkonskaya and Count Miniato Ricci (in the position of Milari), as well as Count Giovanni Matteo de Candia (Giovanni Mario) (separately, in the position of Milari).

Abstract:
Despite the increasing use of computerized care management systems in residences for older adults, there is very little evidence on the perceptions of caregivers regarding this technology, specifically the perceptions of orderlies. The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore the experiences of 17 orderlies vis-à-vis the use of the software “Soins Organisation Facilité Intérêt” (SOFI) in two senior residences in Quebec. Transcripts from four focus groups were analyzed using an inductive approach. All attendants agreed that the software was a positive asset that allowed them to better organize their tasks and documentation. In addition, they expressed the desire to use SOFI in their workflow to improve communication between themselves and with other professionals within the institution to participate in decision-making around quality of care. Finally, they insisted on the absolute necessity of having this technology be adapted to the working environment, both in its digital presentation and in its physical form, in order for it to be easy to access and use. The presence of software meeting the identified criteria enabled them to improve their performance through increased autonomy and their commitment to daily practice.
