ABSTRACT This research was carried out at the University of Cienfuegos in order to design a computer system and implement the Automatic Downloads module for the automatic control, monitoring and processing of download requests made by users of the Internet. said center. Abstract:
Software downloading over the Internet is a major solution for publishers to deliver their software products. In this context, user interfaces for software downloading must be designed carefully. They should provide usable interactions and support users when deciding whether to accept the software product or not. This work proposes to enrich a common browser interface for software downloading with a reputation system - a mechanism for collecting and presenting user feedback. The reputation system is assessed with a usability study. The authors’ results show that positive user rankings are effective in increasing user download acceptances for well-known publishers and common name publishers, as well as in increasing acceptance motivations related to trust aspects. In addition, the presence of the reputation system reduces incoherent user behaviors.

Abstract:
The Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is gaining momentum as more and more people increasingly are using technology tools and devises for their daily activities. Users expect highly effective and easy-to-learn interfaces and developers and designers now realize the crucial role the users' interface plays. HCI and System Usability design have greater significance in media use as the usability problems can adversely affect the large population of users depending on the overall usability of system design and the user interface design. This study is conducted to get rich and detailed feedback of users' personal experiences and usability of a new movie download software application and subscription service. This is achieved by a different approach of using eye-tracking methodology in conjunction with usability software for usability testing. Study gave rich information of quantitative data from eye-tracking and usability software for better analysis of the product.

Abstract:
The open-source software (OSS) movement is often analogized as a commons, where products are developed by and consumed in an open community. However, does a larger commons automatically beget success or does the phenomenon fall prey to the tragedy of the commons? This research forwards and empirically investigates the curvilinear relationship between developers and OSS project quality and a project's download volume. Using segmented regression on over 12,000 SourceForge OSS projects, findings suggest an inflection point in the number of contributing developers on download volume – suggesting increasing and diminishing returns to scale from adding developers to OSS projects. Findings support the economic principle of the tragedy of the commons, a concept where an over-allocated (large number) of developers, even in an open-source environment, can lead to resource mismanagement and reduce the benefit of a public good, i.e. the OSS project.

Abstract:
R is a very useful software in statistical analysis. Its open-source nature makes it easy for users to download and use it freely. Its relatively small size allows R to be installed and used on a laptop because it doesn't use much laptop memory. Users are also facilitated to learn statistical analysis using R because there are many learning resources available which are also easily accessible. But the existence and ease of this has not been widely known by users of statistical analysis. To further introduce R to the public using statistical analysis, R training was conducted through the community service program (PPM) of Sriwijaya University. In this training, the introduction of R along with its potential use and development was carried out in statistical analysis. Participants were guided while practicing. The material studied included downloading and installing R, adding packages, calling data, naming and determining variable values, as well as some simple statistical analyzes. Statistical analysis studied descriptive, regression, and ANOVA. During training, participants can already download, install, and use R in accordance with the training material. For further use according to the needs of the participants, they are given some reference materials contained in a flash disk. In addition participants were also shown how to search for the required syntax via the internet.

we define 'apps' as discrete, independent pieces of software that run on mobile devices. The use of such software on mobile devices within a health environment is not a new phenomenon – there is academic research discussing the opportunities of this technology as early as 1996. however, the proposition has only really become mainstream with the introduction of the Apple iPhone® and supporting App Store, backed by a hugely successful 'There's an app for that' advertising campaign. opening in July 2008 with a mere 500 applications available for download, the App Store now stocks around 500,000 applications and recently surpassed a staggering milestone: 15 billion downloads. Latterly it has been joined by rival application markets from Blackberry®, Microsoft® and, most successfully, AndroidTM.

Abstract:
The popularity of smartphones created a trend of downloading and utilizing mobile applications (apps). They are constantly used and have become one of the main applications in daily life. In both platforms of IOS and Android, free apps have the higher proportion of the software market. To explore the download intention of apps is the focus of industry and academic research. The connections, convenience, consumer experience, and other factors are critical to the users. For the convenience of sampling method, this study sent out Chinese online questionnaires to target smartphones users and their experience using apps. The author collected 76 effective samples and inferred that smartphone users download the apps due to curiosity (curiosity about the novelty of the titles), perceived values (willing to spend time on learning), and self-efficacy (bringing convenience and functional simplicity to life), but not for aesthetic reasons (appreciating the well-designed icons).

Abstract:
AbstractElectron tomography is becoming one of the most used methods for structural analysis at nanometric scale in biological and materials sciences. Combined with chemical mapping, it provides qualitative and semiquantitative information on the distribution of chemical elements on a given sample. Due to the current difficulties in obtaining three-dimensional (3D) maps by energy-filtered transmission electron microscopy (EFTEM), the use of 3D chemical mapping has not been widely adopted by the electron microscopy community. The lack of specialized software further complicates the issue, especially in the case of data with a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Moreover, data interpretation is rendered difficult by the absence of efficient segmentation tools. Thus, specialized software for the computation of 3D maps by EFTEM needs to include optimized methods for image series alignment, algorithms to improve SNR, different background subtraction models, and methods to facilitate map segmentation. Here we present a software package (EFTEM-TomoJ, which can be downloaded from http://u759.curie.fr/fr/download/softwares/EFTEM-TomoJ), specifically dedicated to computation of EFTEM 3D chemical maps including noise filtering by image reconstitution based on multivariate statistical analysis. We also present an algorithm named BgART (for background removing algebraic reconstruction technique) allowing the discrimination between background and signal and improving the reconstructed volume in an iterative way.

This paper describes how ExperInn e-learning system can be applied to distance learning. The author describes how to use ExperInn e-learning system without any client side/learner side software. The learner does not need to download packages from the ExperInn e-learning service provider’s website. The goal of the proposed distance learning system is to increase Learners Level of Perception (LLP) by providing them with realistic audio-visual content. The proposed distance learning using ExperInn e-learning system consists of uploading scanned images of the textbook in ExperInn e-learning service provider’s website, database creation by experts, putting the images and augmented reality content on the database, and indicating when a particular text book is ready. For interactive learning, the proposed ExperInn e-learning system exploits the color-band markers, which are stuck to the tip of a finger. Here the ExperInn e-learning software will be installed on the cloud so that the learning need not download and install ExperInn e-learning software in his personal computer.

The total downloads of the 1103 papers were 2058442 times, and the average downloads were 1866.22 times per paper. China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica ranked first according to the number of papers, total citations and total downloads. The citations of Journal of Chinese Medicinal Materials ranked first based on the number of citations per paper. One of Li’s paper had been cited the most (983 times). There were 629 (57.03%) papers whose first author was from universities. The scopes of the first authors were distributed in 29 regions and 2 special administrative regions (Macao, Hong Kong) in China. The authors from Beijing published 283 (25.66%) papers, ranking number one. The number of papers supported by funds was 882 (79.96%). The research results of correlation showed that the citation frequency and the download frequency of the highly cited papers had a highly positive correlation from both journal and paper level for whether the sample data of journals was normally distributed or nonnormally distributed. The correlation coefficients of the 20 journals at journal level and that at paper level were 0.9765 and 0.6677, respectively. The correlation was better at journal level than that at paper level, while the optimal regression fitting was all cubic polynomial. Among the 1103 papers, there were 684 (62.01%) research papers and 419 (37.99%) review papers. The main citation period of the top 15 papers was from the 2nd year to the 6th year after publication, accounting for 78.39%. Papers on clinical therapeutics research, papers on the pharmacological effects and its mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine, and papers on traditional Chinese medicine and natural medicine were the main source of the highly cited papers of the traditional Chinese medicine journals. Editors of the journals should focus on the above-mentioned research areas to select manuscripts for exploiting the excellent sources extensively, while paying attention to review papers, focusing on national major or key projects, paying attention to network spreading, stabilizing authors with quality services, in order to improve the influence and the academic quality of journals.

Abstract:
Abstract Summary The Phylogenetic Analysis with Space/Time models (PHAST) package is a widely used software package for comparative genomics that has been freely available for download since 2002. Here, we introduce a web interface (phastWeb) that makes it possible to use two of the most popular programs in PHAST, phastCons and phyloP, without downloading and installing the PHAST software. This interface allows users to upload a sequence alignment and either upload a corresponding phylogeny or have one estimated from the alignment. After processing, users can visualize alignments and conservation scores as genome browser tracks and download estimated tree models and raw scores for further analysis. Altogether, this resource makes key features of the PHAST package conveniently available to a broad audience. Availability and implementation PhastWeb is freely available on the web at http://compgen.cshl.edu/phastweb/. The website provides instructions as well as examples.

Abstract:
Deceptive download buttons are those on the internet which may look like it is meant to do an action but actually does something else which it is not intended by the user. Drive-by installations are those extra software which is installed in a user's device without him noticing it. This paper gives the information about the types of deceptive download buttons and the ways a common user can avoid clicking on such button while browsing the web. A few methods the advertiser may commonly use for making the end user a victim of the deceptive download buttons is discussed here. The methods by which someone can avoid these kinds of buttons are also given in this paper. An idea for the development of an extension to the user's browser, that runs in the background. This warns the user about those buttons prior to the button being clicked. This paper also includes information about drive-by installations of bloatware and the ways in which the end users are being affected by this, how the end user can avoid being a victim of drive-by installations and an idea to develop a tool which runs in the background as a small script in the operating system which will automatically warn the user about the drive-by installations.

Abstract:
The automotive ECU, as a core component of automotive electronics, needs constant update to meet the performance requirements of the vehicle. Traditional methods, which rely on the professionals’ operations to update, cannot meet the development of vehicle network. The authors propose an automotive ECU remote update scheme in this paper. A remote download system that implements convenient and real-time automotive ECU updates is built in this paper. The system takes the mobile phone as an intermediary to communicate between the remote server and the onboard platform. Finally, the feasibility of the scheme is verified via experiments.

Abstract:
Data analysis tools and software have been increasing each day in the academic field. They were classified into two categories: one category of statistical tool that needs money to buy its licence to use and install into owns computer. Such software are called closed software. Another category of tool or software is called open source tool or open software. This later group comes freely and one can get licence freely. Academicians are free to choose one. Definitely 'R' and its associated tools which we can download freely and use freely has no better alternatives. 'R' users have been increasing rampantly these days in this world.
