Several disequilibrium textures are found to occur within the hanging wall and footwall of the UG2 chromitite layer of the Bushveld Complex, South Africa. These textures include plagioclase chadacrysts found included within orthopyroxene and clinopyroxene as well as the orthopyroxenes exhibiting round crystal boundaries that appear to be resorbed. The species composition, distribution and patterns of vertical migration of larval fish assemblages were investigated in March and in September 2013 within two adjacent log spiral bays, Algoa Bay and St Francis Bay, on the south coast of South Africa.
