Abstract:
(Uploaded by Plazi for the Bat Literature Project) Throughout the O ld W orld T ropics, examples of cryptic diversity have been demonstrated in leaf‐nosed bats from the F amily H ipposideridae. In addition to cryptic diversity, the widespread distributions and graded morphologies of some species render the taxonomy of this family poorly resolved. We used sequences of the mitochondrial gene ND 2 and the nuclear gene RAG 1 to reconstruct molecular phylogenetic relationships for hipposiderid species. Specimens from S olomon I sland and C ape Y ork P eninsula, A ustralia, were sequenced and combin

Abstract:
Abstract Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a highly abundant glycosaminoglycan within the central nervous system. In glioblastoma (GBM), interactions with HA mediate tumor cell invasion. An improved knowledge of the biological underpinnings of HA-dependent GBM cell migration can facilitate the development of efficacious therapeutics. To better study how HA in the tumor matrix affects invasion, we have developed a tunable, 3D culture system in which to study gliomaspheres (GSs) of patient-derived tumor cells. Photopolymerization (365 nm for 15 seconds) of GSs suspended in a solution 0.025 w/v% lithium ph
