Abstract:

Purpose – Solospun technology is one of the most important new spinning methods, which is implemented by dividing Ring spinning triangle into several small primary triangles and one final triangle by a Solospun roller. That is, there are two parts of spinning triangle in the Solospun technology, including primary triangles part and final triangle part. In the general case, the primary triangles are much smaller than final triangle. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to present theoretical study of Solospun yarn torqueby linking the fiber tension in the spinning triangle to yarn torque under the assumption that the primary triangles and the primary twist are ignored. Design/methodology/approach – The theoretical model of the residual torque within Solospun yarn due to the fiber tension was given. Then, as an application of the proposed method, 14.6 tex cotton yarns were taken as an example for the numerical simulations. The fiber tension in the Solospun spinning triangles and corresponding yarn torque were simulated numerically by using Matlab software. The relationships between yarn torque and spinning triangle parameters are analyzed according to the simulation results. Furthermore, the properties of spun yarns produced by the Solospun and Ring spinning system are evaluated and analyzed by using the simulation results. Findings – It is shown that comparing with the Ring spun yarn, Solospun yarn torque is a little larger. Meanwhile, with an increase of substrand number, the fluctuation of curve of average fiber tension in Solospun system is increased firstly, and then decreased, i.e. showing parabola shape, potentially leading to corresponding change of yarn torque. Originality/value – In this paper, theoretical study of Solospun yarn torque is presented by linking the fiber tension in the spinning triangle to yarn torque under the assumption that the primary triangles and the primary twist are ignored. The theoretical model of the residual torque within Solospun yarn due to the fiber tension was given.

Abstract:

In this paper, the hairiness relationship between Solospun and Ring Spun yarns is investigated using a geometric method which is different from Cheng et al. It is also analyzed why Solospun yarns have less hairiness than Ring Spun yarns. Then, the relationship between the increase of the substrands number and the decrease of the hairiness during the Solospun is confirmed. Finally, the conclusions of the theoretical analysis are proved by test.

Abstract:

The surface characteristics of a solospun roller are important to the properties of solo-sirofil yarns. In this research, a three-level, three-factor, orthogonal experimental design (33) was used to investigate the effect of a solospun roller diameter, groove width and groove depth on the hairiness of cotton/polyester composite yarn. Solo-sirofil yarns with different solospun rollers were produced, and the hairiness was tested. It was shown that the hairiness of the solo-sirofil composite yarn was reduced by 44% compared to that of the sirofil. The structure of the solo-sirofil was improved when the thickness of the groove is 0.2 mm, with an alternating depth of 0.3 mm and 0.4 mm, a width of 0.5 mm and a roller diameter of 13 mm.

Zusammenfassung Einleitung Anlässlich der COVID-19-Pandemie wurden ab März 2020 in Deutschland und vielen anderen Ländern weitreichende Infektionsschutzmaßnahmen verhängt. Deren Auswirkungen auf Individuen und Gesellschaft waren sofort Gegenstand intensiver medialer Debatten. Forschungsziele Vor diesem Hintergrund verfolgt die vorliegende Studie das Ziel, die medialen Narrative speziell zu sexualitätsbezogenen Veränderungen durch die COVID-19-Pandemie herauszuarbeiten. Methoden Dazu wurde eine Stichprobe von N = 305 massenmedialen Beiträgen aus dem Februar und März 2020 hinsichtlich 1) der behandelten Aspekte von Sexualität (z. B. Partnersex, Solosex), 2) der angebotenen Corona-Sex-Narrative (z. B. Mehr-Partnersex-Narrativ; Weniger-Partnersex-Narrativ) sowie 3) der Meta-Narrative (z. B. Krise als Chance, Krise als Risiko, Krise als Chance und Risiko zugleich) analysiert. Zudem wurden exemplarisch Beiträge aus Sozialen Medien untersucht. Die Studie folgt dem Open Science Ansatz: Stichprobe, Codebuch, Reliabilitätskoeffizienten und Datensatz sind über den Server der Open Science Foundation zugänglich ( https://osf.io/ew6t3/ ). Ergebnisse Es zeigte sich, dass in den Massenmedien Veränderungen beim Partnersex und Solosex sowie hinsichtlich verschiedener Aspekte sexueller und reproduktiver Gesundheit und Rechte auf der Agenda standen. Dabei wurden für Partnersex teilweise und für Solosex durchgängig Corona-Sex-Narrative angeboten, die eine Verbesserung der Situation in dem Sinne behaupten, dass es zu mehr und zu lustvollerem Sex kommt. Gleichzeitig gingen die problembezogenen Corona-Sex-Narrative fast durchgängig von einer Verschlimmerung der Lage aus, etwa einem Mehr an sexualisierter häuslicher Gewalt, einem Mehr an Zugangshürden zum Schwangerschaftsabbruch, einem Mehr an Ungewissheiten bei Schwangerschaft und Geburt, einem Mehr an ökonomisch existenzbedrohlichen Lagen in der Sexarbeit und einem Mehr an Diskriminierung von LGBTIQ-Personen. Schlussfolgerung Im medialen Diskurs über sexualitätsbezogene Auswirkungen der COVID-19-Pandemie zeigten sich zwei auffällige Tendenzen: Eine sehr sexpositive, kommerzfreundliche bis geradezu glorifizierende Würdigung von Solosex und Onlinesex sowie eine starke Sensibilisierung für bestimmte Einschränkungen der sexuellen und reproduktiven Selbstbestimmung. Es bleibt unklar, inwiefern die medialen Corona-Sex-Narrative tatsächliche Veränderungen umfassend und akkurat abbilden, da dazu empirische Daten fehlen.

Abstract:

Relevance of the study. The article is relevant as it studies the works of Bogdana Frolyak, who is a popular contemporary Ukrainian composer. Her music attracts the attention of performers and researchers and reflects the current trends of contemporary art such as musical language, new forms of choral sound, synthesis of genres. The Requiem Symphony “Righteous Ssoul” (lyrics by T. Shevchenko) is an example of a complex multidimensional nature genre renewal. Therefore, lack of research devoted to this work outlines a scientific novelty of this article. The objective of the study is to identify the features of symphony in the symphonyrequiem “Righteous Soul” by B. Frolyak. The research methodology is based on the interpretation analysis method proposed by V. Moskalenko. The concept of A. Adamyan is used to study symphonic principles. Results. Analysing the requiem symphony “Righteous Soul”, it was determined that the leading role is devoted to chorus, which serves as a main mean of expression. The choir is regarded as a symbol of collegiality and stands in as an active participant in the formation of musical thought and sounds through almost the entire opus (except for two vocal episodes). T. Shevchenko’s poetic lines are entrusted to mixed chorus and embody a main idea of the work. Choral fragments serve various functions starting from the creation of a harmonic background to being a main storyteller. At the same time, B. Frolyak’s composition realizes symphonic principles, which display themselves at different levels of organization of musical material. Symphonic patterns are expressed in timbre-textured and thematic connections, cross-cutting development, national instrumentation color and intonation transformations of themes. The composer’s principle of artistic thinking reveals parallels with the symphonic concept developed by A. Adamyan. Conclusion. A special genre multidimensionality is expressed in the symphony-requiem “Pravednaya Dushe”. B. Frolyak enriches the semantic layer of the work due to the features of the requiem. Composer takes an advantage of the cathedral’s choral sonority rich possibilities and uses the symphonic intonation and dramatic basis. At the intonation level, she unites all these features with the help of solospiv (solosining) — a musical symbol of Ukrainian nation. Finally, unique synthesis of supersubstantial spiritual and philosophic ideas with universal (symphony, requiem) and national characteristic (solospiv) genres makes B. Frolyak’s work one of the most original in the series of Ukrainian choral symphonies.

Abstract:

The spinning triangle is a critical region in the spinning process of staple yarn. Its geometry influences the distribution of fiber tension at spinning triangle directly and affects the qualities of spun yarns. Taking appropriate measures to change the ring spinning triangle geometry and improve the qualities of yarn has attracted more and more interest recently. Spinning triangle division is one of the most effective measures, such as solospun technology. Therefore, in this paper, the effect of ring spinning triangle division on fiber tension distribution was studied theoretically. The general case that the spinning triangle is divided into two parts, primary triangle and final triangle, was investigated. Firstly, theoretical models of the fiber tension distributions in the final and primary spinning triangles are given respectively using the principle of minimum potential energy. Secondly, the fiber tension distributions in the spinning triangle with different shape parameters are numerically simulated. Finally, the possible effects of ring spinning triangle division on yarn qualities are analyzed according to the numerical simulations and previous results. In addition, the properties of spun yarns produced by the modified ring spinning system were evaluated and analyzed.

No obstante,segundo, este planteamiento puede resultarproblemático para la descripción de los fenómenosvitales cuyo sentido se constituyeintersubjetivamente. Así, fenómenos comola enfermedad, la vejez o el género no solose asientan en la experiencia solitaria e individual,sino que solo pueden ser comprendidospor el propio sujeto en interacción conlos demás. El argumento que se aporta, entercer lugar, para defender este aspecto de lanoción de minimal self es una descripción delfenómeno de la vejez en términos del descubrimientode una misma como anciana, apartir de los escritos de Simone de Beauvoir.

Abstract:

O município de Arapiraca, situado na mesorregião do Agreste Alagoano, encontra-se numa área de transição climática entre osclimas tropical úmido e tropical semiárido, possuindo, assim, clima tropical semiúmido. A geologia é composta de rochascristalinas pré-cambrianas e sedimentares, onde esta última situa-se em uma faixa direção noroeste-sudeste, cortando quase todoo município. O relevo é formado basicamente por um planalto rebaixado suavemente plano, com presença de algumas elevaçõesque compõem as principais serras do município. Os solos são em sua maioria de baixa fertilidade, com destaque para a presençados argissolos férteis em direção a sudeste. As demais classes de solos observadas foram latossolos, litossolos e planossolos. Omunicípio de Arapiraca faz parte de 4 bacias hidrográficas: bacia do rio Traipu, bacia do rio Coruripe, bacia do rio Perucaba ebacia do rio Piauí. A vegetação original é de transição entre os biomas da Mata Atlântica e da Caatinga, sendo que grande parteda cobertura original já foi devastada, restando apenas alguns poucos fragmentos, como os situados na Serra dos Ferreiras e naMassaranduba. Por fim, conclui-se que o município apresenta limitações naturais associadas a baixa fertilidade natural dos solose o regime de chuvas concentradas. Por outro lado, a estabilidade do relevo associada a sua forma predominantemente aplainadaproporcionam baixo risco a ocorrência de processos erosivos.

Abstract:

AbstractBacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common gynecologic infection in women aged 14 to 49 years. Currently recommended treatments require extended dosing and are thus associated with poor adherence. A single-dose oral granule formulation of secnidazole 2 g (SOLOSEC™ [secnidazole], Symbiomix Therapeutics, a Lupin company, Baltimore, MD), a 5-nitroimidazole antibiotic with antimicrobial activity, has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of BV in adult women. As part of the US registration package, two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical studies were conducted to confirm the efficacy and safety of a novel single-dose oral formulation of secnidazole 2 g. This is an integrated analysis of efficacy and safety results from these studies, pivotal study 1 and pivotal study 2. By combining the results of the two studies, relevant information is presented especially when considering the effect of secnidazole on patients with recurrent episodes of BV and the difference in effect on patients of black race. Single-dose secnidazole 2 g was statistically superior to placebo on all primary and secondary efficacy outcomes in both trials, including clinical outcome responder rate (P < 0.001), achievement of Nugent scores in the normal range of 0 to 3 (P < 0.001), greater numbers of patients as therapeutic outcome responders at the test of cure/end of study visit on days 21–30 (P < 0.001), and fewer patients requiring additional treatment at the test of cure/end of study visit (P < 0.001), supporting the role for single oral dose secnidazole 2 g granules as treatment for women with BV.

Abstract:

Statement of the problem. The article analyzes the ways of recreating oriental features in the song “Oriental Melody” (“Skhidna melodiia”) by Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko, based on a poem by Ukrainian poetess, playwright, short story writer Lesia Ukrainka. This song, or “solospiv”, as Lysenko called his vocal and piano works, was created in the last period of the composer’s work, when, working in this genre, he began to use poems by modern Ukrainian poets, including Lesia Ukrainka. This fact most likely caused some changes in the style of these works in comparison with Lysenko’s more traditional early works. “Oriental melody” has not been previously studied by musicologists, so this article conducts its composition analysis in order to understand its structure and ways of interpreting the poetic text The purpose of the study is to identify the specific embodiment of oriental features in the musical language of the song. Results and conclusions. Lesia Ukrainka’s poem “Oriental Melody” from her second Crimean cycle “Crimean Echoes” (“Krymski vidhuky”) is a love poem, in which oriental images are interspersed with exotic landscapes of the Crimea. The composer strives to follow the structure of the poem, which led to the creation of a five-part composition with a variational repetition of the first part at the very end. The article reveals that Lysenko’s “Oriental Melody” contains a number of well-established ways for Western European music to recreate the oriental image. In addition, the song contains features of recitative, sometimes giving the impression of a theatrical monologue. Lysenko often changes the meter, avoids repetition in rhythmic structures, using complex rhythms and seeks for through-composed type of composition. The lack of scholars’ attention to the song “Oriental Melody” can be explained by the dominance of the folklore paradigm in the studies of Lysenko’s music, which doesn’t focus on oriental themes. However, it is interesting how exactly this song became a meeting place for two different worldviews. Lesia Ukrainka was one of the brightest Ukrainian modernist writers, and Mykola Lysenko, who is considered the founder of the Ukrainian national school of composers, created his music in the style of late romanticism. Thus, although the oriental scenery of the song is recreated by a number of clichés, the sincerity of the protagonist is indisputable, and the work as a whole has its own artistic value.

Abstract:

Spinning is one of the major steps in textiles to convert staple fibers from either natural or synthetic sources into continuous and twisted yarns, and ring spinning has always been the dominant yarn technology since its invention. Recently, many ring-based modifications have been developed to improve yarn productivity and properties. In this work, a modified ring spinning technique has been developed by feeding three-roving strands into a conventional ring frame for producing yarns with better performance. A strand delivery guide with different spacings (1–5 mm) was used for the production of three-strand yarns. The quantitative relationships between the spinning parameters and yarn properties have been systematically investigated. The properties of the modified yarns were evaluated, including yarn tensile properties, evenness, and hairiness, and the statistical relationships were obtained by least squares polynomial fitting. The experimental results indicate that the guide spacing and twist multiplier significantly influence the yarn properties. The spinning triangle of the modified yarns resembles Solospun yarns, suggesting supreme yarn abrasion performance.

Sin embargo, los espacios socioculturales yhasta étnicos son tan disímiles en la ciudad que tienen muchas veces que capearfrente al temor, la incertidumbre y hasta el miedo de sus anfitriones porque sepresentan como los “extraños” que hay que mirar con recelo o temor, lo queimplica ver en ellos al extranjero que bajo su fisonomía resalta la distinción quelleva en sí, la discriminación racial, la exclusión cultural y, cuya “otredad” no solose observa desde los mismos anfitriones sino, se extiende, hacia los mismosemigrantes peruanos y latinoamericanos. Generado por los años, de llegada o dearribo como residente, que se convierte cuasi en estatus. Sin embargo, entendertambién, que son los nuevos estilos de vida, así como las relaciones laborales y lacotidianidad, las que generan la pugna entre los mismos “extraños”.
