Abstract:

No entanto

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" DefUnhideWhenUsed="true" Abstract:
Background/aims Communication problems are a core feature of autism spectrum disorder. These problems usually lead to challenges in social interactions. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of the Son-Rise Programme on improving social interaction and communication in children with autism spectrum disorder. Methods Thirty children with autism spectrum disorder (aged 4–6) were involved in this study. The children were assigned randomly to one two groups, either the 1-week intensive Son-Rise Programme or the control group. They were evaluated using the Gilliam Autism Rating Scale before and after the study. Results The participants in the group of the Son-Rise Programme showed a significant improvement in their social interaction skills compared to the control group (P=0.001). Conclusions The Son-Rise Programme could improve social interaction in children with autism spectrum disorder.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The Son-Rise Program (SRP) has triggered in recent times numerous reactions among various educational agents. Not only as a method but also because there have been results of visible success in studies of the American Center for Autism Treatment. Due to the little information on the implementation of this program in the school environment, it was considered appropriate to conduct this research. For this work we chose a case study involving a participant with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) attending a structured learning room. The aim of this study is to understand whether the application of SRP in the areas of sphincter control and socialization can be successfully applied in a structured teaching room. To this end, we used two registry tables of behavior: On the first we used the table of the multidisciplinary team of the Centre for Rehabilitation (CRPSF) and on the second we adapted the school’s table normally used by SRP in their training sessions with the families, with permission from the authors. The program applied to the student lasted six months, with daily operations from June to November 2013. The obtained results demonstrate the possibility of applying the SRP school environment as an alternative to other existing rooms for structured teaching, articulating the same program with the families. It was verified that the students developed sphincter control, with a proportion of 42.50 % success rate in comparison to the activity of the first evaluation in which results showed only a percentage of success of 0.65%. With regard to the stages of development of the SRP model we also found positive results regarding the socialization of students, with an evolution from the beginning of the program regarding only the areas of stage 1, ending with rate compliance activities included in stage 5, the more complex development model SRP stage.

Abstract:
The object of this dissertation is to analyse the contributions of Clément Colson to the economics in order to be better acquainted with his thought, with the French Liberal School at the beginning of the 20th century, to see the influence he had on his main students, Divisia, Roy and Rueff, and to evaluate the actuality of his recomandations. The first chapter develops the Colson’s theoretical contributions. For his students, his main contribution would be the theory of the joint setting of wage and of the interest rate. We will explain this theory is close to the optimal management rule in microeconomics attributed to Clark; we will see we can speak then about multiple discovery.Colson is interesting too from the point of view of the method used. We will see he uses statistics and mathematics in his developments: he makes one of the first assesments of the French income, his lectures develop economics calculus, he can be seen as a precursor of econometrics in France. The second chapter shows that Colson develops the Jules Dupuit pricing method for means of communications exploited by a monopoly by proposing practical way of preferences revelation. We will show too that this theory is used nowadays with the Yield Management and by airline lowcost companies. The third chapter has for purpose to see how Colson takes into account the social question. We will see he argues for a more important State intervention than other liberal economists in order to avoid workers to turn to socialism. The fourth chapter is devoted to the State intervention recommended by Colson in the field of railways. We will see that in this field in which the State is very present, the author wishes to limit it. So he prefers the concession to the public exploitation and wishes construction of new railway lines just if they are profitable. We will see again that the fear of socialism is not stranger to his positions. On each theme, we will see that Colson gives an important place to the practice. At the theoretical level all starts and finishes with the observation, at the practice level he is influenced by the preoccupations of his time

Abstract:
The Son-Rise Program (SRP) is an intervention methodology for people with autism that privileges the relationship over treatment, having as a foundation its guiding principles. According to the Autism Treatment Centre of America (ATCA), this method has countless success cases and there more and more parents looking for getting to learn and applying the program. As result from being created among parents, most of the existing studies focus in the family context. Due to this program’s success and to the lack of information about its use on a school environment, Mota (2014) developed a study on a 10 year old infant, integrated in a teaching class. after such positive results on child’s development, it becomes very relevant to pursue this groundbreaking investigation and take it to the level of education (Portugal) “Pré-Escolar”, with the special purpose of understanding and checking the benefits of this approach on the communication process of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD; Portugal: Perturbações do Espetro do Autismo - PEA) and its compatibility with Curriculum Orientations of this learning level (Portugal: Orientações Curriculares para a Educação Pré-Escolar - OCEPE). The investigator chose the case study of an infant diagnosed with ASD, with age of 3 and integrated in a class of “Pré-Escolar”, on whom was implemented the SRP, through the program’s development charges used by Mota (2014). Results show a progressive evolution on communication/language of the child, a growth from a verbal and non-verbal language, mainly instrumental, to a more social language.

Abstract:
Despite of the growing body of multidisciplinary literature dealing with autism, encounters with a reality on the spectrum remains an under researched area. During my two years long fieldwork I discovered the controversial nature of being on the spectrum. To be on the spectrum is at the same time similar and different from the kind of situations in which any human being is entangled. This diploma thesis follows the process of formation of being on the spectrum situated in specific "playful" environment. It focuses on heterogeneous interactions among human and nonhuman agents. It follows multiple (a)symmetries that emerge in this process. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the reality on the spectrum in an innovative and processually situated way and making it a leverage of exploring the nature of the social. The ethnographic research took place in four "playrooms" and mapped the material practices of the alternative therapy Son-Rise. Through mirroring, the main therapeutic practice, boundaries of similarity/otherness where the other is emerging as an autist subject are continuously negotiated, generated and blurred. Becoming similar comprises of multiple practices, including assuming other (autistic) sensitivity and inventing similar (body) competencies. In addition, the diploma thesis discusses...

Abstract:
The work in this document reveals the research carried out during one semester in the academic year 2016/2017 in a Structured educational unit in Centro de Reabilitação Psicopedagógica da Sagrada Famíliawith extra time on the findings during the academic year 2017/2018. The research is centered in Autism area, making an incursion through the Universe of Special Education, as a basis for all the educational process. Issues related to Autism have been gaining an important protagonism due to a major conscious on the cause, especially related to the increased interest in the subject. New therapies, better early childhood intervention and major information/training of professionals are in the genesis of this growing. Among some proposals that emerge, the Son-Rise Program (SRP) is in the vanguard of new pedagogical and therapeutic alternatives in the approach to intervention and treatment of people with autism spectrum disorders(ASD); Transposition of the assumptions that underpin the ASD for school is the main goal, continuing the many studies that have been conducted. Being an imminently family program, what is intended with this research is to create, implement and assess the relevance of a social school curriculum, based on the concepts in the ASD Development Model. Basically, it is intended to demystify the preconceived idea that autism is irrevocable, contributing to new insights on the subject and widening the horizon of these people with future real prospects, in order to achieve a greater personal and social autonomy. The work focused on a Multiple case study using action research. Were used as data collection instruments: the logbooks (direct observation); Questionnaires to specialized teachers to exercise or have exercised in Funchal and Semisstructured Interviews with families and/or professionals who identify with the SRP.

This chapter demonstrates Cnut's rise to power. By the end of the 1020s, Cnut was at the head of a political “family business” that sat proudly atop much of Scandinavia. His young son Harthacnut was in control of Denmark, and his enemies in this region had exposed themselves and been dealt with. Meanwhile, Norway was under the control of his nephew Hákon, where the former king was exiled. Cnut had realized the pretensions to rule of his father and grandfather, and extended them. Cnut had withstood and turned to his advantage an invasion by the Norwegians and part of the Swedes. The end result saw their downfall, not his.

She describes how Najia Adib, a mother whose son was sexually abused in day care, lobbied the Moroccan government for stricter enforcement of laws against rape, especially rape of minors. She also raised awareness to break the historical taboo against reporting pedophilia in Moroccan society, which has often led to child sexual abuse cases being dismissed.

The chapter demonstrates how Tarkovsky’s explorations of the relationship between memory and ontology give rise to Zvyagintsev’s enactments of processes of individuation that are not predicated upon difference. The chapter also discusses how it is important for Zvyagintsev to maintain his own authorial autonomy from the depersonalizing influence of the inherited tradition.

Abstract:
This first chapter explores the geographical and historical sweep of the modernist vertical imagination in both Europe and the Americas. It begins with comparisons between Franz Kafka’s imagined Amerika and Max Weber’s writings on the “spirit of capitalism” after traveling to the United States, as well as W.E.B. Du Bois’ conceptions of racial stratification and uplift after studying in Germany. From here, it considers the rise of American empire and capitalist culture in terms of industrial scale, vertical elevation, and the “technological sublime.” Key examples include Eugene Jolas’ Verticalist movement in relation to James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake; Fritz Lang’s Metropolis in relation to the rise of New York City; major writings by Vicente Huidobro, Jorge Luis Borges, Hart Crane, George Oppen, and Claude McKay; and conceptions of racial stratification, uplift, and solidarity in Richard Wright’s Native Son, Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man, and Aimé Césaire’s Notebook of a Return to the Native Land.

Abstract:
This chapter focuses on Nimrod, whose story in Genesis describes him as the son of Chus, the grandson of Cham, the founder of Babel and the world's first king: “He was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord.” The chapter concludes that what emerges with the story of Nimrod is a forgotten continent of Western political thought. If Foucault could say that beginning with the rise of Hebrew, and then Christian, pastoralism, politics has been largely considered a matter of the sheepfold, we can add that it was also, though in accord with a parallel and opposed genealogy, a matter of hunting.
