Full textSeafloor geoacoustic properties are essential in underwater acoustics. This is particularly true for very low frequencies and shallow water environments. A geoacoustic model that is able to predict the sound propagation in an underwater environment is needed in order to optimize predictions of sonar performances. The methods for elaborating the geoacoustical models we present are based on the inversion of acoustical data. They aim to elaborate models adapted to sonars (through-the-sensor approach) by making use of instrumental configurations that are close to those of sonars. The geoacoustical models thus obtained are acoustically equivalent to ground truth models. The first approach exploits an estimation of the impulse response of the acoustical channel coming from the adapted filtering of broadband signals emitted by a source and received by a single hydrophone. This leads to a two-step method that first refine the knowledge of the geometrical parameters and then compute the seafloor plane wave reflection coefficient. The validity of the model thus obtained is examined and the technique applied to a real data set. The second approach is based on a variational approach coming from control theory. In this case, the acoustical pressure field is controlled by an impedance control function that is the geoacoustic model. The method is based on the formulation of the adjoint model of a parabolic approximation of Helmholtz's equation. The gradient of the cost functions defined in the algorithm is computed exactly. Local and non-local boundary conditions are examined. This method is potentially very promising

When Schubert wrote pinao sonata D.784, he met crisis in his life. This work contains different styles in music expression compared to early works. This thesis contains five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, including the author’s motivation in analyzing the music structure and performance interpretations of Piano Sonata D.784, as well as the scope of this thesis and the methodology used. Chapter 2 states Shuberts biography, music works and an overview of Shuberts piano sonatas. Chapter 3 is an analysis of Piano Sonata D.784 through music phrase structure, harmonic progression and tonality, rhythmic patterns, and melodic lines and textures. Chapter 4 describes the possible performance interpretations of Piano Sonata D.784. It is a collection of techniques found from piano lessons, literature reviews concerning performances, and the author’s personal performance experiences. Chapter 5 concludes authors research and personal performance experiences of this work. It is hoped that this thesis can provides the interpretive reference to people who are interested in Shubert’s piano music.

Among the sonatas written by Franz Schubert (1979 -1828) in the early stage, the Piano Sonata in A, D.664 was regarded as the most structurally complete and the most favorable music piece. Although this sonata written by Franz Schubert was created following the classic music structure, but the plentiful emotion, song of tone and the beautiful melody made this piece so romantic. In three short chapters of this song, expression of emotions, elegance and passion were all included. The whole song is so natural, which makes this a valuable and successful music piece. This article is divided into six chapters, first introducing the background of Franz Schubert’s life and his piano music, also with the change of his piano music in different stages as well as the style of his music, in order to reveal the background of the Piano Sonata in A, D.664. After that, this article is going to analyze the structure and the creation of this song. We will compare the different annotations of the four recorded versions of this song and state out the opinion of the writer. Finally, a conclusion of the past five chapters will be made. I hope that by studying the Piano Sonata in A, D.664 of Franz Schubert, we can more understand about his music.

Sonata is the most important form for the composers. The elements of the compositions, such as harmony、rhythm and melody, dictates of the style of each composer from the Baroque to the 20th-century, but the format of the sonata form has been the guideline followed strictly by every composer. Ludwig van Beethoven's Sonata Op.7 and Sergei Proko- fiev's Sonata Op.14 both have their own characters. Beetho- ven's Sonata Op.7 reveals his early classical style. Proko- fiev's Sonata Op.14 expresses the spirit of the music of the 20th-century. The aim of thesis will describe the develop- ment of the sonata form from Beethoven to Prokofiev.

This thesis discuss Schubert’s A major piano sonata (D.959) by exploding how Schubert (himself) and Schubert’s music was and is understood. This process reveals the concerns of different ages and the human minds behind the concerns. In Schubert’s time, Vienna lacked for infrastructure and was under autocracy. This was the environment he worked in. People deemed him as a sensitive and loving genius, but didn’t recognize the full value of his works. In the second half of19th century, Schubert was known as a talented but not skillful composer. After th beginning of 20 century, the new realization of Schubert’s character and music came out; then Schubert stood in the roll of Great Composers. Charles Rosen described the harmonic structure that can avoid the contrastive power between chords in cadence in Schubert’s works as “wave form”, and pointed out this structure makes a wondering feeling when the structure is applied to sonata form. By a similar way of understanding, the A major sonata reveals the themes about love, nature, nostalgia, wondering, bleakness, and death. After knowing the views of different ages, I find that the human existing speaks; it determined how Schubert composed and how people see his works.

Schubert was a very important romantic music composer in the early nineteenth century. Schubert’s "Sonata in a Minor Arpeggione" D.821, which was composed in 1824, is instrumental music. The arpeggione made by J. G. Staufer, a musical instrument maker in Vienna, was a "guitar-violoncello", shaped like a guitar and combined with the playing way of the cello. However, it disappeared no more than ten years later. To date, it has still been mentioned only because Schubert’s sonata has been widely appreciated by people in the world. The subject of this study is "Sonata in a Minor Arpeggione". First, it introduces sonatas, the characteristics and development of the arpeggione, and the composer Schubert’s biography and investigates the background and style of his producing this composition. Finally, it analyzes the composition and interprets the playing of viola arrangement published by Henle and make conclusion. Furthermore, based on the CDs of three famous music players who play this composition with the viola, the cello and the arpeggione, those are compared by the range of playing tone, speed, dynamics, and timbre, respectively. Listening to the composition played with different musical instruments is fun in each, and all of them are close to the original music of the composer. It helps the interpretation of the composition very much.

Dmitri Shostakovich is one of the greatest composers, the Russian son of the revolution in the 20th Century music. Many people think he is the great hero, who brings Russian music into a new era. Someone even said that he took politics into his music. He was actively involved in Russia's socialist movement, in the music refuses to budge on, as far as possible to try all kinds of music, boldly into the new wave of modernism. His works show many humorous and experimental character, and often used free and easy musical style to imply serious social issues. In Dmitri Shostakovich's life, he had not created many cello pieces. In terms of his cello works, this paper trys to discuss the techniques and possible interpretations of “Cello Sonata in d Minor, Op. 40” and “Moderato”. Each section will give an analysis on the life experiences, musical characteristics, political environment, and the creative integration of the background. Finding out Shostakovich's special creative tactics and motives of material arrangements, and exploring the correlation between the works. Allowing the performance annotation of the music and the skill to come in sync and support one another.
