Abstract:
Sulphur (S) is an essential element for plant and animal nutrition, but widespread deficiencies of S occur world wide. Current recommendations for nitrogen (N):S ratios are 15 to 18:1 and 10 to 12:1 for plant and animal nutrition, respectively; but recent information suggests these may not predict animal response. Sorghum is an important crop, particularly in drier climatic regions but little is known concerning S-nutrition for sorghum growth or utilization of S-fertilized forages. Sorghum "Pioneer 947" was grown on a Lucy loamy sand (loamy, siliceous, thermic Arenic Kandiudult) in King Willia

The first experiment compared five variations of the current approved method to determine geometric mean diameter (d[subscript]gw) and geometric standard deviation (S[subscript]gw) described by ANSI/ASAE S319.4 “Method of determining and expressing fineness of feed materials by sieving”. This method controls many variables, including the suggested sample size and the type, number, and size of sieves. However, t

Abstract:
The research area of this work is the analysis of multidimensional data and the ways of improving apprehension of the data. Data apprehension is rather a complicated problem especially if the data refer to a complex object or phenomenon described by many parameters. The research object of the dissertation is artificial neural networks for multidimensional data projection. General topics that are related with this object: multidimensional data visualization; dimensionality reduction algorithms; errors of projecting data; the projection of the new data; strategies for retraining the neural netwo
