In this thesis, we conducted tests in order to determine how system load affected the speed of commonly used algorithms. The difficulty of obtaining these type of results theoretically due to a large number of factors that can affect performance motivated the use of simulation. An implementation was constructed that ran the sorting algorithms Mergesort, Quicksort and Radixsort while the system was put under different levels of stress. This stress was created by generating cache misses using the software stress-ng. The resulting completion times, as well as the cache activity was logged. The re

This thesis studies the employment of an information flow reduction and sorting system. The system is designed to reduce the amount of information gathered by a collection system to a rate that a user of that information can accept. The thesis demonstrates the benefits of trait based analysis of information as a method of screening desired information from undesired. These systems increase the quality of the information reaching the user while adding a delay to achieve the screening process. A method of networking the screening devices is discussed. Why don’t crop plants grow as fast as they should? In optimal conditions, elite crop varieties routinely outperform those grown in the average field. The vast majority of this reduction in growth activity is due to abiotic stresses such as drought, heat, and nutrient limitation. Abiotic stress reduces plant growth by triggering a reduction of meristem size and causing premature differentiation of proliferating cells. Differentiated cells are no longer able to divide, and smaller meristems have a reduced capacity to restore growth when the abiotic stress passes. We have designed and evaluated a

Abstract:
The model predicts the best flight order and recommend best flight to users. The thesis could be divided into the following three parts: Feature choosing, data-preprocessing, and various algorithms experiment. For feature choosing, besides the original information of flight itself, we add the user’s selection status into our model, which the flight class is, together with children or not. In the data preprocessing stage, data cleaning is used to process incomplete and repeated data. Then a normalization method removes the noise in the data. When evaluating and comparing household waste collection systems, various aspects are relevant to consider, e.g. environmental objectives, technical function, operating cost, types of recycling materials collected separately, property-close collection or drop-off system, economic incentives, information strategies, residential structure, social codes, etc. Data describing the actual waste flow is the basic input to evaluating the function of source-sorting programs. The questions raised are: How can household waste quantities and composition be measured? How can waste flow data from different
