The main goal of this thesis is to present contemporary contemporary slovenian architectural scene to the Czech audience. Since the fall of Iron curtain is the slovenian architecture regarded as the most advanced from the former Eastern bloc. During the stay in Slovenia it's succeeded to collect sufficient informations for further analysis. Daily contact with the local culture and buildings helped in understanding of the current situation in the Slovenian architectural scene. The work provides the most important architectural works from Fabiani through Plečnik, Ravnikar, Podrecca to successors of generation Sixpack. The aim of this work is to help document and analyze the causes of Slovenia success and with this conclusion help to improve the situation in our country, where there is a wide range of high-quality buildings, but they remain almost unnoticed and unknown on the international scene. The study focused which role played the biggest importance in starting Slovenian model. Work search if it's possible to re-establish cooperation in the field of architecture. The aim of these was to find out how to apply the knowledge acquired in the Czech environment. Lessons from Slovenia could be summarized in two main areas: how to successfully cultivate their land and about how to be able to report about it externally.

The aim of the thesis is to define the term Self-service Business Intelligence. It is followed by an introduction of need of this technology in present information society. Thesis at last defines technologies and practices, which are applicable in most general situations. All defined recommendations are based on vast range of theoretical data sources. Second aim is to prove that all customers' requirements can be in specified case covered by functionality of Self-service BI solution. This proof is presented by an introduction of architectural proposal using chosen technological platform. This proposal is furthermore part of bigger elaboration, which by its content loosely follows all tasks present in the initial Case study.

The theme of this thesis are surfaces made of unburned earth and used in architecture. The thesis focuses mainly on detailed mapping and analysis of the present state. However, it does not omit the historical roots of earthen surfaces in the area of today`s Czech Republic. In these roots it looks for connections with contemporary practice. The thesis deduces conclusions from thorough evaluation of the present situation – it shows perspectives and possible drift of the future development of earthen surfaces. Both in the field of architecture and in areas broadening this field.

The thesis is about relation of society to its material environment including its cultural product which is architecture. This is the reason why it is using viewpoints of sociology of culture and art. The thesis focuses on the contemporary projective architecture and brings its characteristics having a relation to society. The main starting-point is uncritical nature of projective architecture. This nature is set into the historical development of the architectural styles of the twentieth century. The picture of development of those critical and uncritical phases is assembled with emphasis to their specific relation to society. In the conclusions the detected relation of projective architecture to the society is assembled to this development. It is compared with former stages. The conclusions say that the relation between society and architecture is strengthened, but on the other hand it is individualised and relativized too.

Aim of the Historic Building as a Museum (Contemporary Architecture and Heritage Conservation Issues) thesis is to present limits and possibilities of architecture intervention in historical objects based on conversion material of chosen historic building for museum purposes. Selection of buildings makes an effort to introduce more point of views in given problematice using examples and picturial attachements.

The thesis is about relation of society and its material environment - architecture. It focuses on current architecture and its characteristics with relation to society. The emphasis is placed on influence of constructions, interaction with users and transmission of meanings. The thesis is characterizing contemporary architecture using theories of Marshall McLuhan. Today's architecture is distinguished by projective character which enables higher participation of users than former architectural traditions. New interconnection of society and architecture appears. It is characterized by higher degree of interaction. At the same time, higher relativization, individualization and virtualization of meanings emerge. Currently, architecture is cool medium through the lens of Marshall McLuhan theories. Architectonic and city planning development of Litomyšl town in 20. century Abstract The topic of master thesis is architectural development in Litomyšl town during 20th century. The development of the city will be set to the context of historical background and social-political and economic situation. Thesis will introduce architects and their work especially from 1990's including comprehensive changes in urban environment of the city, including the revitalization program of the city, which continues till now. The aim of master thesis is to evaluate architectural development of Litomyšl city during the last century and define the influences and the qualities of modernization of such historical town. New forms of housing at the beginning of the 21st century Various forms of housing evolve gradually depending on the technical development, life style and different cultural environments. The goal of this is to observe the evolution of residential housing from 1960's to the present. The key point of this dissertation is to find new forms of living at the beginning of the 21st century and its use in lower level buildings. When we consider "new forms of housing" we mainly speak about buildings with contemporary architectonical style, uncommon interior dispositions or the use of innovative constructional material (copper, corten and copilit). Next chapter explores typical and specific examples of these new architectonical styles that had been build in the Czech republic in the past few years. Each individual house or building is characterized and deeply analyzed. We can think of the terrace house - residential villa in "Kosire", villa style residence at "Hanspaulka" or isolated residential house in "Bohumilec". This dissertation is based on projects that had either been constructed, are being built right now or are simply ideas that might or might not be build in the near future. At the end of this dissertation I focus on issues with these new forms of living compared to the evolution of architecture...

The goal of the master thesis is to analyze contemporary possible approaches how to rehabilitate religious buildings, in our countryside, which were devastated. Historical sources stand out as a subject of the surveys. Those sources give the reasons of the destruction of those churches and chapels and point on the importance of those building in the landscape. The author uses five contemporary examples to show the different approaches how to use the ruins of the churches. The specifics are defined, and benefits and risks are clarified from the point of view of the landscape architect. Based on the acquired knowledge there is established universal procedure how to treat those monuments. Pivotal idea of the whole thesis is the necessity to discover the specific sign for every ecclesiastical ruin and after that to keep or restore this sign to approach this monument to keep its place. All the process is based on the profound analysis. Next step is to modify the surrounding in the kind of way to keep the character of the place. This theory is verified by the design of the model object. The study processes rehabilitation of the area where is the ruin of bigger chapel in the border area in the village Slezská Harta (former Sudety). This area has been displaced twice in history because of the construction of the water reservoirs. The study offers the solution of the surrounding of the building with the overlap into the landscape and even verify the correctness of the procedure of the rehabilitation the ruins in variants. In succession one variant is chosen and finished in detail. The discussion deals with three topics: - Sums up the landscape means, which can be used to rehabilitation of the monument - Deals with the impact of the surrounding and importance ofthe sacral building as a symbol - Outlines the future and sustainability of the projects of renewal and rehabilitation of the sacral architecture
