Full textThe aim of this work was to estimate the concentration of Phe in 22 samples of commercially available dehydrated soups, as they are useful to add variety to the diet for phenilketonurics. The monosodium glutamate (MSG) contents had been analyzed as it is a likely source of non protein N (NPN) that might result in overestimated protein contents. The true protein content was accomplished after protein precipitation with 10% TCA and followed by N analysis according to the Kjeldahl method, which was converted to protein by a suitable conversion factor (Fc). The Brazilian legislation establishes a Fc of 5,75 for vegetables proteins, 6,25 for meat and blended proteins and 6,38 for milk proteins. The MSG concentration was determined by an enzymatic method employing an ammonia gas-sensitive electrode. The crude protein content (total NxFc) varied from 6,05 to 21,51% and were similar, in most cases, to those stated on the label, showing that manufacturers use total NxFc to express the protein content. Nevertheless, the true protein content was low, varying from 1,28 to 16,31%. The NPN concentration varied from 0,33 to 1,27g/100g of sample, which represents from 11,10 to 81,33% of the existing total N. The MSG concentration varied from 1,01 to 7,86g/100g of sample; the N arose from this flavor enhancer gives about 2,53 to 47,71% of the total quantity of N. The difference between the crude protein and true protein contents is due to the presence of MSG-like NPN. The Phe concentrations were calculated in accordance with the true protein values and varied from 51,16 to 652,24 mg/100g of sample. Thus, we recommend the analysis of all flavor-enhancer-added foods, in order to get reliable results for Phe estimation from the protein contents.

Full textSunset Iridescence is a one of a kind sculptural bookwork which reflects the essence of the wings of the Madagascar Sunset Moth. My work is very much about the physical qualities of the materials I use. The papers, inks and gilding supplies used to recreate the colors and iridescence of the moth are described. A comparison of color created by pigment and color created by the refraction of light rays is discussed. Parallels are drawn between the structure of the codex and the behavioral patterns of the moths. The local name for the Madagascar Sunset Moth is Lolonandriana – lolo for 'spirit or soul', andriana for 'noble'. I was inspired by this concept of the soul to publish a letterpress printed chapbook. Unlike Flying in an Airplane is a short memoir of one of my experiences as a flight nurse. It recalls the first moments of lifting off in a helicopter as I prepared to stabilize and transport a critically ill child.

Full textMigraine is a public health problem having a major negative impact on the daily lives of patients. Twelve percent of the world population suffers from migraine and its cost is estimated at $ 18 billion per year in the European Community. The frequency of attacks may increase over time in some migraineurs, thus evolve episodic migraine (0-14 days crises by month) in chronic migraine (more than 15 days of attacks by month). This process is called transformation of migraine. Frequency of headache attacks at baseline appears to be an important risk factor for this process. Using behavioral electrophysiological, and immunohistochemical (expression of Fos protein) approaches, we have identified some of the neurobiological mechanisms involved in the transformation of migraine. Indeed, developing an animal model of repeated chemical stimulation of the dura, we evaluated (1) the role of the intensity and frequency of chemical stimulation (crisis) on skin sensitivity (2) sensitization of second order trigeminal and spinal neurons (3) the effectiveness of font treatment reference of the crisis, propranolol (4) the involvement of the brainstem (locus coeruleus (LC) and periacqueductal grey matter (PAG)) in the sensitization of trigeminal and spinal neurons and (5) the involvement of LC changes in skin sensitivity induced by chemical stimulation of the dura. Our behavioral study reveals that topography (cephalic and / or extracephalic) and nature (static or dynamic) of allodynia induced by chemical stimulation of the dura is under the influence of two factors: intensity and frequency of stimulation, which may lead to its persistence. Our electrophysiological and behavioral studies confirm that the cephalic and extracephalic cutaneous allodynia reflects awareness of trigeminal and spinal neurons, respectively, which may become persistent. Propranolol permits to prevent changes in cutaneous allodynia, and trigeminal and spinal sensitization. We also observed the awareness of two brainstem structures: the PAG and LC which result in a persistent alteration of DNIC. However propranolol appears to prevent the alteration of these phenomena via inhibition of a single structure LC and not the PAG. Indeed, our microinjection of propranolol in the LC can prevent any changes induced by chemical stimulation of the dura. In conclusion these results suggest that the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks are two endogenous risk factors of migraine transformation. A marker of transformation is allodynia, which is the clinical expression of central sensitization of the dorsal horn neurons. This central sensitization is due to the direct arrival of information from the dura but also to an alteration of neuronal activity in LC. Based on these findings, one can suggest that patients with frequent and/or severe migraine attacks take as early as possible a migraine prophylactic treatment. This treatment should prevent the cumulative adverse functional consequences on the central nervous system of the activation of dural nociceptors

Full textThesis’s problematic of the thesis consists in asking the following question; in what condition the legal framework of the right of the subcontracting in France corresponds to the evolution of the subcontracting intercompany relation? To deal with this question, the example of the aeronautical industrial construction which establishes one of the cases of the most advanced of the new inter-company relations of subcontracting, can serve as connecting thread to determine if the right of subcontracting in force at present in France, answers to the companies need, or if this one must be modified to take the new industrial organizations better into account. The first point consists in analysing all the legal texts as well as the reports intended to improve them. The legal texts are composed of the only law dedicated to the subcontracting of 1975 relating to the subcontracting, as well as the specific requirement regarding industrial subcontracting of the Commercial law and the Civil code. Recently, new legal measures related to the subcontracting were inserted in the law Hamon of 2014. These measures aim at fighting against the abuses and have the objective to better protect the subcontractors towards the contractor. The analysis of the reports on the relations inter-company by industrial subcontracting twice published, includes a number of recommendations aiming to adapt the legal framework of the subcontracting to the evolution of the industrial relations. These are in recommendations from the report Volot of 2010 and the report Bourquin of 2013 in order to generalize the principle of the contractualization, the reinforce the protection of the intellectual property and the implementation of standard contract by sector. The second point consists in carrying out a comparative analysis by studying the legal framework of the subcontracting in various European countries, as well as within the framework of the European Union. The third point consists in estimating the legal solutions recommended from the experience of the aeronautical subcontracting chain. This analysis allows to take into account the example of the contracts of aeronautical subcontracting for the supply of element of plane in particular as regards financial capacities, the intellectual property and the responsibility. This analysis allows getting results in order to answer to issue of necessity of adapting the legal framework of the subcontracting in France: On one hand, the current legal framework and its recent evolution do not allow to take the importance of the industrial subcontracting enough into account, and only adapts at “a minima” level by modifying certain articles of the Commercial law. On the other hand, the question of the storing of the responsibility between the contractor and the subcontractor, carries on while the conditions of the current industrial organization associate more and more the subcontractors with the design, and not only with the production of the new products. Therefore the situation of almost total dependence of the subcontractors with regard to the contractors keeps going. In these conditions, the analysis of the relations within the framework of the aircraft industry, allows from the results of this thesis to suggest three tracks in favour of a new law on the subcontracting in France. By making a written and detailed subcontract compulsory such as it is systematically practised in the aeronautical subcontracting. By integrating measures intended to protect the subcontractors in order to associate them better as it is the case in the aircraft manufacturing in the conception of new groups and by creating a reliable climate. Finally, by establishing a systematic appeal to the intercompany mediation

Full textWith increasing computing power, the horizontal resolution of numerical weather prediction (NWP) models has been improving and today has reached resolutions of 1 to 5 km. Yet, clouds and precipitation are still produced by subgrid scale processes for most cloud types such as cumulus and stratocumulus. Subgrid scale parameterizations for water vapor condensation have been used for many years based on a prescribed probability density function of relative humidity spatial variability within the grid, hence providing a diagnostic of the cloud fraction and the cloud water content. Therefore, a new parameterization is developed, based on a prescribed probability density function of cloud water variability and a threshold value of liquid water content for droplet collection to derive a rain fraction within the model grid, which is different than the cloud fraction. Cloud water content is no longer uniformly distributed in the whole grid volume or in the cloud fraction, but can be concentrated in spots with the splitting of cloud water into two parts of high and low cloud water content within the grid. The rain is then only produced in the high cloud water content region, so the subgrid precipitating parameterization is also called subcloud. The development of the parameterization follows an analysis of microphysical data collected during two field campaigns, one dedicated to precipitating stratocumulus (DYCOMS-II) and the other to precipitating fair weather cumulus (RICO). To supplement observed microphysics distributions, LES (Large Eddy Simulation) simulations were conducted with two idealized cases from the two campaigns. The new subcloud parameterization was implemented in the ICE3 microphysics scheme in the MESO-NH research model. The two idealized cases of RICO and DYCOMS-II were used to test the new parameterization in a SCM (Single Column Model) framework. This parameterization was also tested in a 3-D framework in the MESO-NH model using the same physics as the AROME NWP model (2. 5 km), displaying the improvement from its use for real cases of precipitating cloud systems over France. In all real and idealized cases, this new subcloud parameterization increases rain water content in low cloud water content conditions, decreases rain evaporation during sedimentation, and shows better agreement of surface precipitation against observations. A real case also shows that it is not systematically producing more rain. This new parameterization is also not computationally expensive, and can be easily implemented in any bulk microphysics scheme

Full textWe have studied several organic superconductors under pressure in a magnetic field. We have established the phase diagram between two superconducting phases of (ET)2I3 by DTA. We have found that there is a triangular region to be avoided so as to stabilize the high Tc phase and that it is metastable below this triangle. Low Tc phase, which is stable at low temperature, becomes also metastable in applying the pressure and undergoes a first order phase transition when heated under pressure. This phenomenon could be explained with the Ginzberg-Landau theory of phase transition. We have performed the Shubnikov-de Haas effect measurement and found a very large magnetoresistance oscillation whose amplitude reaches 10 times of its residual resistance at 12T and 380mK. We derived a cylindrical Fermi surface with small warping from the observed frequency and beating. The comparison was done with neighbor compound, (ET)2IBr2. Then, the pressure dependence of the resistance behavior in two compounds using helium gas pressure technique has been studied, especially the evolution of the resistance maximum in (ET)2Cu(SCN)2 and that of the metal-insulator transition in (ET)2ReO4. Finally, we present the thermoelectric power study of TTF[Ni(dmit)2]2

Full textThis research is an attempts to explain the rainfall indigence into the souss basin and its incidence on the hydrologie of that oued. In the first part, we focused on the factors of the pluviometric dificit in that basin. These factors can be divided into two categories geographic elements (latitude, orographical shelter and cold oceanic current of the canarias) and aerological elements dominated by the quasi permanence of anticyclonic circulation. We have also studied the pluvious situationq affecting the basin, and their efficacy their characteristics. Also wa tackled the spatial repartition of the pluvial contribution, its temporal variability and its seasonal regime. The second part deals with the effect of geographic and hydrologeologic factors on the outflow. It contains equally other elements active with the intervening of potential evapotranspiration. Finely the third part is a study the annual, monthly and daily temperament of the souss. It explains how aerological, morphological, biogeographic and human factors interact to give souss a hydrologic aspect characterised by the succession of brief growth, little voluminous and grave low water

Full textThe expansion of the subcontracting is the fruit of the context legal current économico. The actors of this new type of relationship choose this contract notably, to reduce their coCs and to disengage from legal responsibilities ensuing from business connections. The subcontracting, sometimes consists, in an outsourcing of the staff. It is the fact for a company to entrust durably to an external specialized person receiving benefits(provider) the partial or total care of an application, a process or a complete activity. This delegation of management comes along mostly with a multiannual contract and with commitments on the costs, the periods, the quality and the accessibility of the services. The subcontracting also consists of the relocation. As for her is the fact of moving geographically the treatment of an activity. This treatment is generally realized by the same company but on a different geographical zone. The relocation does not thus require a commercial contract. It does not imply inevitably - far from there - the appeal to an external person receiving provider. The subcontracting still consists, in an outsourcing of the task. It is the fact for a company to confidedurably or punctually to an external person receiving provider the care of exactly defined tasks or the manufacturing of definite products. The law of the subcontracting is also complex as the social and commercial relationships which ensue from it, it is the reason for which, it is necessary to weave a common law of the subcontracting

Full textThis dissertation explores the material conditions of Moroccan agricultural workers under seasonal contracts managed by the Office des Migrations Internationales. The methodology is based on semi-directed interviews, archival work and participant observation within the "Collectif de défense des travailleurs agricoles saisonniers". The main question the thesis attempts to answer is the following: ta what extent do es the seasonality of the job and the stay of the OMI foreign manpower, as it combines statutory precarity and mobility control, warrant the subjection of this manpower and separate the space and time of production and reproduction of its workforce? The condition of the OMI workers consists of three main axis: -the seasonal migratory system, more precisely understood in its socio-historical dimension (colonial origin, evolutions of the migratory utilitarianism in agriculture); -mobilizations against the OMI status and the regulatory adjustments developed by the State in order to control/bridle the right of agricultural migrant workers to move to other sectors of activity; -the health of seasonal foreign workers, which is nevertheless constructed among three factors: it is rendered invisible, externalized, and in terms of resistance. This thesis conducts a reflection on controlled migration and its limits. It shows to what extent the intensive agriculture of the South of France is dependent of the humanpower, and that the limitation of the right to stay to a temporary work contract tends to rend their employees' rights ineffective. It brings new elements to the analysis in foregrounding the articulation between the "fait colonial" and post-colonial migrations

Full textIn today's increasingly competitive global industrial world, the relationships between enterprises are getting improved towards more cooperation and collaboration. In this context, many companies have recourse to the industrial subcontracting which became a very widespread practice to face competition, but also to cure the technological lack to manufacture a product with a sufficient effectiveness, or the incapacity to product within the deadlines and with the requested quantities. This recourse to subcontracting can be also justified by the will of the company to concentrate on core activities and turn to external sources and collaborate with external partners in order to develop shared technological capabilities. Thus, the importance of subcontracting has increased, creating new challenges for companies. We find in the literature various studies treating subcontracting in aeronautics, manufacturing, construction, business and supply chain..., In this thesis, we study the problems generated by the integration of subcontracting activity in companies providing subcontracting services

Full textWhatever the causes of the hydrous deficit in the catchment area of Souss, the objective aiming at the stock management out of water remains the même : to preserve these resources for the satisfaction of the long-term needs. This basin, which extends on a surface from16 200 km², is framed by reliefs volumineux ; the High-Atlas in the North (which culminates with 4167m), the Anti-Atlas in the South, the East by the junction of the two above mentioned chains and in the West by the Atlantic Ocean. In this contrasted space, the aridity of the climate and the dryness to which the irregularity of precipitations is added, explain the recourse fluctuating of the users in the exploitation of the ground water. The demand for water increase especially in the rural world is due to the demographic growth. Thus, competition enters the various types of water consumers and the managers concerned is likely to disturb the territorial balance of this area in spite of its tourist potentialities and halieutics. We introduce an analysis of the different kinds of exploiting and managing the water resources by using a systemic approache. The goal is to to develop a tool which allows evaluating the performance of these different strategies of management in the given context

Full textNatural rubber is well-known for its excellent mechanical properties in multiaxial fatigue and those are generaly attributed to the ability of the material to crystallize when strained. However, the relationship between strain-induced crystallization and mechanical properties of natural rubber has never been established. The aim of this thesis is therefore to understand the origin of the great multiaxial fatigue properties of carbon black-filled natural rubber, by considering two small scales of study, as opposed to the macroscopic scale generally considered. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to uniaxial crack growth and energy dissipation mechanisms at the cracks and micro-cracks scale ; those mechanisms are determined thanks to original in-situ propagation tests observed with scanning electron microscope. In the second part of the thesis, strain-induced crystallization is studied at the macromolecular scale, in static multaxial deformation on the one hand and in uniaxial fatigue on the other hand, thanks to X-ray diffraction measurements performed at the Soleil synchrotron facility. The characteristics of crystallites, i. E. Their size, orientation, number and lattice parameters, are measured during the different mechanical tests. We observe that in multiaxial deformation, the crystallites are similar in size and have the samei lattice parameters than those nucleated in uniaxial deformation, but their orientation strongly varies with the multiaxiality of the deformation and is not influenced by the loading path. Finally, we show that in uniaxial fatigue, the characteristics of the crystallites evolve with the number of cycles, differently depending on the minimum and maximium stretch ratios reached at each cycle

Full textIn this thesis, we have studied in high temperature superconductors and their phase diagram. Since their discovery in 1986, these materials have generated great interest, especially because of their high critical temperature. In the generic phase diagram of these materials, the superconducting phase is a dome with a maximal critical temperature, which defines the under-doped side (left-side of the phase diagram) and the over-doped side (right-side of the phase diagram). The dome is located between an insulating phase and a metallic phase (Fermi-liquid like). In order to understand the origin of superconductivity, it is essential to characterize the normal phase from which superconductivity arises, in particular at low temperature. Therefore, high magnetic fields were needed to destroy superconductivity and restore the low temperature normal state. Quantum oscillations have been discovered in 2007 in these materials, thanks to resistivity and magnetization measurements under high magnetic fields and low temperature. Quantum oscillations and negative Hall and Seebeck coefficients have revealed the presence of a small electron pocket in the Fermi surface of the underdoped side, covering only 2% of the first Brillouin zone (FBZ). This is in disagreement with band-structure calculations. In contrast quantum oscillations in overdoped cuprates revealed the large hole-like orbit, covering 65% of the FBZ, as predicted by the band structure calculations. The presence of this small electron pocket in underdoped compounds can be explained by a Fermi surface reconstruction. Indeed, RMN and X-rays measurements have shown the presence of a charge density wave in competition with superconductivity. To study the relationship between the Fermi surface deduced from quantum oscillations and the charge order, we have followed the evolution of the oscillation frequencies as a function of doping. Therefore, we have performed different measurements on YBa2Cu3Oy in a wide range of doping, magnetic fields (up to 70T) and temperatures. We also used hydrostatic pressure to induce a change of doping on the same sample. These measurements have revealed the presence of a new series of oscillations with a lower frequency which has been associated to a holepocket. This result allows us to explain some of the transport properties measured in YBa2Cu3Oy compound. In addition, we have also performed transport measurements in HgBa2CuO4+? samples, considered as a textbook material of the cuprate family (monolayer structure and no CuO chain). We have succeeded to observe quantum oscillations similar to those observed in YBa2Cu3Oy. This demonstrates the universality of this phenomenon in cuprates and clearly demonstrates that reconstruction of the Fermi surface involves the quintessential CuO2 planes. Finally, we have performed various simulations of Fermi surface reconstruction based on a biaxial charge order recently discovered by NMR, X-ray and sound velocity measurements. The reconstructed Fermi surface has been compared with experimental measurements

Full textFor A a vector subspace of ℝⁿ with dimension d and B a rational subspace with dimension e, we define min(d,e) angles ψ_j(A,B) for j in {1,.., min(d,e)} that capture the proximity between A and B. We then study the Diophantine exponent µₙ(A|e)_j, defined as the supremum of µ > 0 such that there exist infinitely many spaces B of dimension e for which ψ_j(A,B) is less than H(B)^(-µ), where H(B) is the height of the rational space B. We first present a formula allowing the computation, under certain assumptions, of µₙ(A|e)_j when A is a direct sum of lines in ℝⁿ. Then, we construct several vector subspaces of ℝⁿ with dimension d for which we can prescribe the values taken by µₙ(A|e)_j for various choices of (e,j). From these constructions, we finally obtain results on the algebraic independence of families of functions of the form µₙ(.|e)_j

Full textScuba diving can't be offered to children and enter school without undergoing a real educational treatment, this is the aim of the piece of research which has been done in fesch secondary school. Scuba diving has always been considered as a risky activity, so much so that, the logic of this activity has been constructed about safety. The intuitive trend presents it in the form of techniques which must be mastered the synthetic trend which we follow, considers scuba diving as a safe activity which can be practised by all and which appeals to the whole person the diver needs a motor plasticity in order to adapt himself to an uncertain environment which is perpetually changing but doesn't need motor stereotypes when you dive, you venture into different aquatic spaces which are defined by depth and time. Thanks to a certain numbers of educational tricks, we give back to time all its importance in relation to depth. At school, diving means making a project of movement. The training stackes go through the development of autonomy, the mastery of rather risky situations and the mastery of making decisions. Finally in this educational processing, we can see a legitimate application taking shape for the commercial world which has always suffered too from this handicap which lies in presenting scuba diving as a dangerous activity

Full textResource-constrained scheduling problems have been widely studied in the literature. However, in most cases, it is assumed that the activities have a fixed duration and require a constant amount of the resource throughout their execution. In this thesis, we propose to treat a scheduling problem in wich tasks have a variable duration and a variable resource consumption profile. This profile, which may vary over time, is a decision variable of the problem on wich depends the ruration of the associated task. Furthermore, we consider linear and nonlinear efficiency functions to represent resource usage, which makes more complex the problem and permits the modeling of energy transfers. For this NP-complete problem, we present several properties allowing us to derive models and solution methods. These solution methods are divided into two parts. The first part studies the problem from the perspective of Constraint Programmming and several methods derived from this paradigm are detailed, among which new developments on energetic reasoning for the considered problem. The second part of the thesis, dedicated to Mixed Integer Linear Programming approches, presents several models, including a novel continuous time model based on events as well theoretical analysis of the models and improvement of theses techniques. Finally, experiments show the relative effectiveness of the results presented in this thesis

Full textArabistan is an arab territory covering 185 000 spare kilometres and with a population of 3,5 million inhabitants. It is bordered by iran on the north and on the east. It is bordered by iraq, on the west and by iraq, and the arabic gulf on the south. It was in 1925 that iran occupied arabistan, mainly due to its strategic position and the importance of its wealth especially oil. From the beginning, the occupying power made sure to annex this territory in a definitive manner. In order to do this, the occupying power put its prince in prison and adopted several arbitary measures so as to wipe, out all signs of arab presence on the territory. Besides, it used au possible means to compel the people to move towards the interior of iran. Moreover, the occupying power did not allow the population to exercise. Its political, civil and cultural rights. On the other hand, it encouraged the domination of iranien culture. But the inhabitants of the territory were finnly opposed to this policy; and decided to resort to armed conflit in order to free themselves from the occupation. In the fight for liberation, the political forces have played - and continue to play - an important role, especially in what concerns the protection of the charac- teristics of the people of arabistan. We have divided this study in two parts: in the first part we have shown documents which confirm the arab identity of the territory and the reasons which made iran occupy it. In the second part, on the other hand, we have analysed the measures taken by the occupying power against the people of arabistan, and the struggle of the latter for the protection of its existence. This research work is the first of its kind in the french language
