The locations from west to east are Slangkop, FA-Platform (Agulhas bank), East London and Richards Bay. The longest dataset available was the 25-year dataset at Slangkop measured by accelerometer wave buoys. In the subsequent years the wave recording network along the South African coast was expanded to six locations at present.
