This paper investigates rice market integration among five provinces in southern Sumatra using data from monthly retail rice markets during 2004-2009. The degree of integration was measured across provinces using vector error correction model. Result revealed that there is spatial market integration in southern Sumatra. Province of Bangka Belitung can make price adjustment more quickly compared to others provinces. In the long run period, rice price in Jambi province, Lampung province, and Bangka Belitung province became a reference price of rice in southern Sumatra. The study suggests policy

AbstractDuring the Early Ordovician Epoch, the Mediterranean brachiopod Province was extensive in the higher-latitude sectors of the globe in the Southern Hemisphere. The latter was much occupied by the massive continent of Gondwana, which stretched from north of the Equator S-wards to cover the South Pole. The Mediterranean Province can be separated into two groups: Group 1, the higher-latitude fauna dominated by large linguliform brachiopods; and Group 2, which is more diverse, particularly in orthides. The large linguliform brachiopod faunas are particularly well known in southern Europe (F

The objectives of this study were to identify and analyze the basic/leading sectors that have competitive advantages in each province, and to determine the regional typology and basic-sector priorities for regional development. The data used in this study were times series data in the period of 2010-2014. The data were analyzed by using LQ analysis, shift share, and Klassen typology. The result of this study indicated that each province had its own potentials in accordance with its conditions. A preliminary comparison of Early Cretaceous paleocommunities in the Caribbean and contiguous Southern Western Interior provinces of North America suggests that the important factors for the differences were climate, basinal tectonics, sedimentation rates and the resulting substrates, environmental heterogeneity, evolution rates, and migration paths. Some paleocommunities were endemic to one province, and others were found in both provinces but differed in relative abundance patterns, species composition, diversity, and trophic structure.

Scholars have examined the economic and political situation leading up to the violence and concluded that political marginalization caused Kyŏngsang Province elites (from the Southerner faction) to launch the rebellion. This paper analyses evidence from official sources about rebel motivations, rebel geographical associations and the court view of the causes. Abstract Since the 1970s, acritarch workers have recognized two distinct geographic acritarch assemblages in the Ordovician. The first assemblage occurs in the late Tremadoc in low latitude areas. This assemblage, recently redefined by Volkova [1997], has been attributed to warm-water environments. A second “Mediterranean” or “peri-Gondwanan” province, attributed to high latitudes in the southern hemisphere, can easily be recognized in late Tremadoc to Arenig acritarch assemblages. This second palaeogeographic “province”, defined by Li [1989] is distributed around the border of Gondwana in a z
