A comparative analysis of the yields of proanthocyanidins isolated from the initial and deresinated (extracted with hexane) birch inner bark (Betula pendula Roth) with water, 15% water-ethanol solution and ethyl acetate in a Soxhlet apparatus was carried out. It was shown that preliminary extraction of birch inner bark with hexane has no significant effect on the yield of proanthocyanidins during its subsequent extraction with water, 15% water-alcohol solution and extraction with ethyl acetate in a Soxhlet apparatus. In this paper, a new efficient extraction tool of bioactives from plant parts was designed, applied, and compared with Soxhlet apparatus. This tool was a Quickfit®- Pyrex® glass tube perforated easily inserted in round flask containing solvent. Clove buds in both non-grinded and grinded form were analyzed by GC-Mass. Our observations were gotten from designing and using perforated tube compared to Soxhlet apparatus for Clove buds’ extraction. It is a simplest tool in designing and handling than Soxhlet apparatus that ensured more contact between Clove buds in their bag and used solvent than So

In the paper physical and chemical properties of natural bitumen of oil sands were investigated. For the determination of organic part (natural bitumen) of oil sands the extraction methods was used in Soxhlet apparatus by solvent. Physical and mechanical characteristics of natural bitumen (NB) are established by standard methods: softening temperature was determined by the method Ring and Ball, depth of needle penetration was determined at apparatus Penetrometer, extensibility was determined by apparatus Ductilometer.

SUMMARY Two methods for phosphine determination in pellets and tablets are described. They are based on the stoichiometric reaction of phosphine with silver nitrate; this reaction is by the first time established. In the first method the apparatus is very simple, mounted only with erlenmeyer and Soxhlet thimble. In the second method the apparatus is not simple, mounted with separatory funnel, distilling flask and trap flasks.

In recent times, researchers have increasingly focused on exploring alternative sources of anti-inflammatory agents, particularly of plant origin. Ocimum sanctum (tulsi) has been a longstanding source of medicinal agents, with its leaves, bark, stems, and flower spikes harboring phytoconstituents responsible for anti-inflammatory activity. Phytochemical screening of the plant's stems has identified the presence of saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, phenols, tannins, and glycosides. Ocimum sanctum, also known as tulsi or holy basil, belongs to the Lamiaceae family and is renowned for it
