Abstract:
This research is motivated by tourist visits that do not meet the target of several years such as 2015 and 2017 and the percentage of tourist visits staying at hotels is also very minimal despite several sales promotions. The high average hotel occupancy does not make all tourists staying at The Ritz Carlton Hotel visit the spa. In 2015, only 29.7% of tourists stayed at The Ritz Carlton hotel out of the total hotel occupancy that visited the spa. In 2016 recorded 6.6%, in 2017 recorded 5.9% and in 2018 recorded 6.7% of the total occupancy who visited the spa. Along with the lack of tourist visits from outside the hotel to the spa. Considering that other five-star hotels in the Sawangan area, The Ritz Carlton hotel is still relatively new. This study aims to determine the internal and external environment and marketing strategies of The Ritz Carlton’s Spa. The data analysis technique used in this study was qualitative descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis was assisted by a Likert scale technique. Data collection techniques are obtained from the results of observations, interviews, questionnaires, literature studies and documentation. The informant determination technique used is Purposive Sampling. The sampling technique uses the Slovin formula totaling 100 respondents with accidental sampling as the distribution of the questionnaire. The results of the study stated that the internal environment contained 9P segmenting, targeting and positioning as well as the marketing mix. The external environment contains political, legal, economic, socio-cultural, technological and media environment factors. Abstract:
Tourism in many countries and in particular cities is one of the most attractive business forms that enhances the expansion of supply and increases competition. Consequently, the quality of services is the key to customer’s choice. However, a complex character of SPA hotel services makes it necessary to explore not only the service quality, but also its mutual connection with other business processes. The study is carried out within the framework of the RTA research grant “Assessment of hotel service development possibilities in Rezekne city”. To evaluate factors influencing customers’ satisfaction, the expert – client (“hidden guest”) questionnaire was developed. Its practical approbation was carried out conducting a survey in three SPA hotels: Pühajärve Spa & Holiday Resort 3* (Otepää, Valgamaa, Estonia), Hotel Jūrmala Spa 4* (Jurmala, Latvia), Spa Vilnius Anykščiai 4* (Anykščiai, Lithuania). In the result, the conclusion was made that the questionnaire makes it possible to successfully assess the SPA hotel’s business processes and its connection with the quality of services.

Abstract:
This paper proposes a hybrid method for online reviews analysis through multi-criteria decision-making, text mining and predictive learning techniques to find the relative importance of factors affecting travelers’ decision-making in selecting green hotels with spa services. The proposed method is developed for the first time in the context of tourism and hospitality by this research, especially for customer segmentation in green hotels through customers’ online reviews. We use Self-Organizing Map (SOM) for cluster analysis, Latent Dirichlet Analysis (LDA) technique for analyzing textual reviews, Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) for ranking hotel features, and Neuro-Fuzzy technique to reveal the customer satisfaction levels. The impact of green hotels with spa and non-spa services on travelers’ satisfaction is investigated for four travelling groups: Travelled solo, Travelled with family, Travelled as a couple and Travelled with friends. The proposed method is evaluated on the travelers’ reviews on 152 hotels in Malaysia. The findings of this study provide an important method for travelers’ decision-making for hotel selection through User-Generated Content (UGC) and help hotel managers to improve their service quality and marketing strategies.

Abstract:
Abstract Introduction. Apart from basic services, the modern hotel industry provides a number of additional services, including those having to do with wellness. This article attempts to provide a general description of spa services in selected hotel facilities in the Lublin Province in Poland. Material and methods. Data on the size of the accommodation base, its diversity, and its occupancy by tourists were obtained from the official statistical publications of the Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS). The paper presents the results of research on quantitative and structural transformations of mass accommodation facilities in the years 2000-2013. Particular attention was paid to spa hotels. Information on their profile and offer of balneological and wellness treatments was collected by means of a diagnostic survey in the form of an interview (primary source) and the exploration of websites (secondary source). Results and conclusions. According to the data provided by the Central Statistical Office, in 2013 there were a total of 285 mass accommodation facilities in the Lublin Province (accounting for 2.9% of all facilities in Poland), which constitutes 8.0% of the territory of Poland and is inhabited by 5.6% of the country's population. The facilities were able to receive approximately 18,700 guests (2.7% of the total accommodation capacity of Poland). Every fourth mass accommodation facility in the Lublin Province was a hotel. This type of accommodation base was represented particularly by facilities of lower categories (3, 2, and 1 star hotels), and it accounted for approximately 27% of the total accommodation capacity of the Lublin Province. Hotels and guest houses offering spa services in addition to accommodation constituted 19.5% of the total number of hotel facilities in the Lublin Province. They were particularly concentrated in Lublin and the towns of the Puławy (Puławski) District, such as Kazimierz Dolny and Nałęczów. Spa services provided in hotel facilities can become an important product intensifying the use of tourist space in the Lublin Province.

Abstract:

This project has as main objective to develop a marketing plan, directed to the Hotel Palácio Estoril Golf & Spa, seeking a reformulation and innovation of the offered product and strategies presently used, once the two main problems stand out are the difficulty in following the average prices established and shortcomings in the Internal Communication. Action research was the methodology used, which aims to prepare a research work related to factors with direct connection to the business that characterizes this establishment, as well as the collection of primary and secondary data. In order to obtain the perception of the clients, a survey based on the SERVQUAL model adapted to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry from Salazar, Costa and Rita (2010), was applied. Furthermore, semi-structured interviews were developed and conducted, with an informal character, to selected hotel staff. This way, it was possible to identify the main strengths and weaknesses of this company as well as the areas with greatest need of focus. An elitist target and a focus in emerging markets underlie the marketing-mix tactics to implement. The creation of new offers translates into "packages" with slight increases in room rates, combined with the inclusion of innovative services. Regarding the reformulation of the internal communication, the implementation of motivational and recreational practices and the creation of an intranet platform are highlighted. Thus, the marketing plan presents actions and strategies that focus on continued growth and strengthening of the brand image of this hotel as well as improvement of achieved results.

The focus of this contribution is on the analysis of main components and characteristics of Spa & Wellness Services provided by hotel businesses in Crete, Greece. A brief definition of the concept and a typology are presented in the first section. A business environment analysis with the main trends and developments in this field is the topic of the second section. This is followed by the main section reporting on a field research conducted in 2012 in Crete, Greece. This research has been carried out by applying the method of a personal interview to hotel & spa managers offering these types of services. In particular, the following issues have been investigated: Services, Products and equipment, Consulting services, Human resources, Financial issues, Market, and Business performance conditions. This means that a marketing analysis requires an integrated approach to all related business managerial issues. The main conclusions of this research lead in shaping and defining a framework of factors for successful Spa and Wellness services in a well-established holiday destination.

Abstract:
This chapter is designed to analyze and interpret the demand from a new and anticipated international visitor market to the small market and spa town of Buxton, Derbyshire. It offers an audience development plan for the newly renovated Crescent Hotel and Spa (CHS). The hotel is currently in the final stages of re-development following a major refurbishment to a culturally important, both environmentally and socially sensitive, icon in Buxton. Benefits to the town include heightened awareness of tourism's contribution, through income from staying visitors and a resultant boost to the incomes of a range of stakeholders in the supply chain. A secondary analysis of two case studies, best practices of Harrogate and Bath, has been considered as these are both similar spa towns. The chapter concludes with several recommendations for the CHS to encourage international tourists to visit and stay a while.

Abstract:
Luxury hotel and resort spas have been perceived and criticized for their similarities and for not having a true authentic or culturally thematic identity, and for losing their original intention of a spa experience due to rapid commercialization. Empirical research relating to spa management is also limited. The purposes of this chapter are (1) to highlight some of the important global market trends that force all sectors of the travel industry to gear towards a healthy, wellness-minded concept in designing their products and services; (2) to define wellness tourism and the meaning of spa; (3) to address several under-researched variables that account for a crucial role in differentiating or characterizing a spa's identity and customers' preferences or perceived authenticity of a spa. Relevant literature is reviewed. Theories from multiple fields are applied. Future research and managerial implications will also be discussed in the content of this chapter.

Abstract:
The aim of the author was to try to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the functioning of the city of Kołobrzeg in terms of the closings and openings of spa treatment and accommodation facilities in the largest Polish spa. Of all Polish health resorts, the city of Kołobrzeg has the largest concentration of tourist accommodation facilities in the country, officially, according to ‘Statistics Poland’ data for 2019, there are 35,363 places in a very attractive location with numerous residential, apartment and hotel investments. As the largest seaside resort, strongly dependent on its tourism and spa functions, it has over the last year struggled with various changes: the functioning of the accommodation base, a significant decrease in budget revenues, an increase in unemployment and at the same time a further intensification of housing, apartment and hotel investments. The course of these processes from February 2020 to March 2021 is an interesting case study showing how large seaside resorts with a leading spa function operated during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract:
Economic characteristic of micro gas turbine cogeneration systems for commercial and public purposes is evaluated rationally by an optimization method. The number of multiple kinds of micro gas turbine cogeneration units, capacities of other pieces of equipment and utility maximum contract demands are determined so as to minimize the annual total cost in consideration of operational strategies for energy demand requirements. Numerical studies are carried out on systems installed in hotels or office buildings. Through the studies, the following are clarified: (a) the relationships between the number of the installed micro gas turbine cogeneration units and the maximum electricity demands of hotels and office buildings, and (b) the economic effects of the micro gas turbine cogeneration units.

Abstract:
Landscape, cavity, courtyard, skin, pergola are some of the elements of the Mediterranean abacus that architecture tries to transfigure into a single substance but also as a derivation of a great mother, the Mediterranean Sea. However, we can suppose that all these elements come from an idea that acts as a trait d'union, an intuition that made the domestic space of the Mare Nostrum the place of the myth of living: the innovative idea of horizon summarized as the ability of the gaze to observe outward. Gio Ponti, Bernard Rudofsky and Luigi Cosenza are the architects of the materialization of this idea where the horizon is not only found in the relationship with the landscape but is present within the domestic space. In this space full of symbolism and origin, three houses are a body to be vivisected and rediscovered. Casa per Positano... and other shores, Hotel San Michele in Capri, Casa a Procida become autoptic and utopian spaces from which to steal the secret of the Mediterranean Sea.
