Abstract:
From a Pennant (Tug) to a Standard , ten regimental emblems for the 1st Morrocan Spahis Regiment ; The different emblems attributed to the 1st Spahis Regiment (former Morrocan Spahis Regiment) clearly show the rich history of this relatively young unit, raised in 1914 in Morroco as an auxiliary regiment, shifting to a regular regiment in 1923 and never since disbanded. The regiment has been issued with nine emblems since 1914 and only five of them were French Republic regular standards ; the first, second and third emblems were commanding officer’s pennants (Tugs) used as regimental emblems, and the fifth was a war standard made in London by the Free French Forces in 1944. All those emblems, tugs, war standard and regular standards, bear pages of glory through their battle honors and decorations. Therefore the tradition - passing down hystorical facts and feats of the regiment from generation to generation -should suffer no misinterpretation, all the more reason for emblems to bear strickly what they were awarded.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze the Ottoman taxation (timar) system which resembles medieval European feudalism. In this article, a chronological approach and contemporary scientific-methodological techniques have been used, as well as analytical and interpretation methods to clarify the Ottoman legal rules that regulate property rights focused in Kosovo. Based on this research, it has been found that the Ottoman government declared that all rural agricultural land belonged to the state, as well as that the peasant who worked on it had the status of an inherited tenant, and as a reward for his work he had the right to use it but as foreign property. This paper concludes that only a part of villagers representatives was integrated into the ranks of the spahis and the leaders of the Ottoman state, and Albanians had and kept such privileges until the end of foreign rule. This article is important to reflect on the influence that the Ottoman timar system had on the establishment of the Ottoman Empire in the countries which were its vassals, even though it has its own weaknesses (Kurmus & Yapucu, 2020).

Abstract:

Commemorative History has focused on a 3rd Brigade of Spahis that was simply "annihilated" in about ten hours of fighting, but not before putting out of action a thousand German soldiers. For its part, the scientific History takes into account 50 Spahis and 31 German soldiers killed in action. Abstract:
Understanding the role of urban public spaces in today’s historic Spanish Mediterranean cities is a key priority for researchers and urban professionals. Increasingly, social media showcases users’ preferences, a trend that can provide an indication as to why some urban public spaces are preferred over others. This research focuses on preferred urban public spaces in historic cities in the province of Alicante (Spain) and has two objectives: to identify their urban morphological features; and, to recognise similar traits in terms of their location within the urban structure. The method involved: first, analysing Foursquare social media data on user preferences about urban public spaces; second, studying spatial and functional urban attributes; and third, recognising their role within the city structure. The results demonstrate that the preferred urban spaces share morphological attributes; a central position in the urban structure; mixed-use ground floor activities; and the presence of relevant urban public facilities.

Abstract:
150 kg/m3 tankio bandiniai daugeliu atvejų geriau sugeria garsą visame dažnių diapazone, lyginant su to paties storio 100 kg/m3 tankio bandiniais. Sumaišius kanapių spalius su dekortikuotu kanapių pluoštu, pagerėjo garso sugertis visoje dažnių juostoje.

Marcos-Marne, Hugo. The Spanish Radical Right under the shadow of the invasion of Ukraine. European Center for Populism Studies (ECPS), March 2023. http://dx.doi.org/10.55271/rp0030.

Abstract:
Despite the geographical distance, the war in Ukraine has brought to the fore links between the Russian establishment and Radical Right forces in Spain. Both scholars and pundits have taken an interest in the question, which spread to party competition, quickly turning into a (discursive) race away from Putin as the consequences of war become more evident. Despite the war’s unquestioned relevance and previous links between Russia and the Radical Right in Spain (albeit less established than in other European countries), a systematic analysis of the effects of the invasion is missing. This report addresses this gap by focusing on the impact of the Ukraine invasion on party discourse and public opinion in Spain. It analyses records of proceedings from the Spanish Parliament, Twitter messages posted by the VOX party and its leader, and survey data gathered since February 2022 by the Spanish Center for Sociological Research (CIS). The main findings at the party level highlight the relatively weak associations between the Kremlin and The Radical Right in Spain (compared to other European countries), as well as efforts to separate from Putin after the invasion started. A more complex pattern of preferences is identified at the individual level.

Carrión-Tavárez, Ángel. The Situation of Puerto Rico in the First Half of the 20th Century. Edited by Ángel Carrión-Tavárez. Puerto Rico Institute for Economic Liberty, December 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.53095/13582003.

Abstract:
After 390 years of Spanish colonialism, Puerto Rico was ceded by Spain to the United States, as a result of the Spanish-American War and the Treaty of Paris. At the dawn of the 20th century, the situation on the Island was one of extreme poverty, high unemployment, and widespread illiteracy. Federal programs alleviated the situation on the Island but began to institutionalize a major problem: the evil of passively waiting for economic aid from abroad, instead of seeking to solve the problems by its own initiative.

A systematic review for its understanding in Spanish-speaking populations. Abstract:
Review question / Objective: This systematic review aims to provide evidence of attributes for the concept and structure of the term physical literacy for its understanding in Spanish-speaking countries mainly from Latin America and Spain. Condition being studied: Many definitions of physical literacy refer to a lifelong participation in physical activity, presenting multiple benefits for people's health. Therefore, many organizations (universities, government entities, research groups) in different countries promote interventions for its development. However, the approach to these interventions is based on different concepts and attributes, depending on the country where they are organized. Taking into account that physical literacy is a global approach that is being disseminated worldwide, it is necessary to analyze its different conceptualizations, carrying out a systematic review that presents evidence of how physical literacy is being understood around the world. By describing the attributes characterizing the concept and structure of physical literacy, we aim to contextualize and enhance the understanding of physical literacy in Spanish-speaking countries and regions from Spain, Latin America, Africa and Asia which involve more than 500 millions of people.
