Abstract:
The article is dedicated to understanding of the concept of “tenderness” in Russian and Spanish linguistic pictures of the world in comparison. During research the connection between language and culture is indicated, reflected in the linguistic picture of the world through the functioning of the concept as its unit. The focus of attention is focused on the emotional concept that expresses the image, assessment, and cultural significance. On the basis of the learnt linguistic researches in the field of language theory, the concepts of “language picture of the world”, “concept” and “emotional concept” are revealed. A comparative analysis of the data of etymological, explanatory dictionaries, as well as dictionaries of synonyms and antonyms of the Russian and Spanish languages is carried out. The obtained results are compared with the events of the domestic and foreign political life of Russia and Spain of the designated time periods (Etymology, the Middle Ages, the XVIII-XIX centuries, the XX century, the XXI century). The nuclear zone of the concept “tenderness” is being formed in the Russian and Spanish language pictures of the world. The article analyzes the content structure of the concept “tenderness” and the transformation of its components from the moment of its origin to the present day. It clearly reflects which components of the concept values appear and disappear according to the dictionaries from one epoch to another. The most frequent components of the values of the nuclear zone of the concept, common and periodic for each of the studied world pictures, are identified. In conclusion, are formed findings about the similarity and difference of changes in the concept due to the historical formation and its modern functioning in the Russian and Spanish language pictures of the world. It was revealed that in the transformation process, the concept of “tenderness” acquired the status of a deep comprehensive feeling. Nevertheless, despite the general similarity, there are also specific features for each language picture of the world, which are reflected by the analyzed language data recorded in dictionaries. It follows from this that the linguistic representation of the same concept of “tenderness” in the Russian and Spanish linguistic cultures is quite different due to the mental characteristics of each of these cultures.

Abstract:
The importance of the investigation is due to the rather high interest in the national-specific Spanish concept “fiesta”; an attempt to present a conceptual vision of the world picture of Spanish speakers and define place of the concept “fiesta” in the Spanish national picture of the world. The content of the concept “fiesta” is revealed on the material of the Spanish language dictionaries (explanatory and phraseological) as well as text examples obtained by sampling from Spanish National Corpus. The structure of the concept under consideration was analyzed and its conceptual and figurative components were revealed. Besides, due to the religious background of this concept, place of religious component in its structure was defined. The article justifies the necessity to use the method of analyzing dictionary definitions together with the corpus analysis when studying the considered concept, which makes it possible to outline the informative and estimated value of this concept and to identify the figurative component of this field. The material for this study was the data of Spanish dictionaries (explanatory and phraseological), fragments of scripture texts (150 text fragments), as well as material of Spanish National corpus (420 text fragments). Analysis of language material let us identify main conceptual and figurative components of the considered concept (“fiesta”); determine place and dynamics of updating religious component in its structure in the Spanish language. The article shows that “fiesta”, being a specifically Spanish phenomenon, has religious foundations; however, at the present stage of society and language development, religious basis of the analyzed concept in the Spanish language is leveled.

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the study of the concept “tenderness” in the Russian and Spanish language world pictures in comparison. During the study the connection between language and culture, which is reflected in the language picture of the world through the concept functioning as its unit. The focus of attention is concentrated on the emotional concept, which expresses image, evaluation and cultural significance. On the basis of the studied linguistic researches in the field of language theory the concepts “language picture of the world”, “concept” and “emotional concept” are revealed. The article is the continuation of the research of the concept “tenderness” representation in Russian and Spanish linguocultures. The analysis of the data of etymological, explanatory dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms and antonyms has allowed to allocate semantic volume of a concept (nuclear area). To determine the content of the near-core area of the concept “tenderness” its explication in the space of the text is analyzed. The reflection of the concept in literary, fiction, journalistic, scientific, everyday texts by means of methods of the contextual analysis which purpose was to reveal new semantic features of the concept, given by the text and situation (context) is investigated. During the contextual analysis the data of the documents with the occurrence of the units “tenderness” and “tender” in the national corpus of the Russian language (1617 documents) and “ternura” in the national corpus of the Spanish language (1484 documents) were studied. Based on the study of the functioning and combinability of the unit “tenderness” in the Russian and Spanish texts, the main characteristics and components of values of the peri-nuclear area of the concept were identified. The analysis of the unit combinability made it possible to schematically display and compare its action orientation. According to the results of the contextual analysis the groups of cognitive features of the concept “tenderness” in Russian and Spanish were distinguished and compared with each other in percentage ratio. On the basis of comparison of the contents of the peri-nuclear area of the concept “tenderness” the most frequent components of meanings characterizing “tenderness” as a feeling and character of relations between people (between lovers, people, experiencing affection to each other) were revealed.

Abstract:
In this article, we consider the well-known intertextual Russian and Spanish biblical phrases, which are considered universal and exist in two languages as correspondences. We believe that their interlingual semantic identity is not confirmed by discursive practice and that there are significant cognitive differences in their semantics and pragmatics. Some differences are recorded in dictionaries, some are more convincingly revealed when analysing the texts and phraseological picture of the world of Russian and Spanish linguistic cultures. Two images are analysed in particular detail — the New Testament “Mary Magdalene” and the Old Testament “Balaam’s donkey”. Works of fiction, Internet discussions and articles of the central press were used as illustrative material.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the description of the representation of the concept of “tenderness” in comparison and is the final part of the study of this concept, conducted on the basis of the Russian and Spanish language pictures of the world. In the course of the study, the connection between language and culture was identified, reflected in the linguistic picture of the world through the functioning of the concept of “tenderness” as its functional unit. The investigation showed that the studied context is important for the perception of differences between Spanish and Russian linguistic cultures. A comprehensive analysis consisting of three stages was carried out. At the first stage, were analyzed the data of etymological, historical and explanatory dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms and antonyms, which made it possible to identify the semantic scope of the concept, that is, its nuclear zone. At the second stage, a contextual analysis of the use of words that make up the concept of “tenderness” in the texts of the Spanish and Russian language corpora was carried out. Based on the analysis of the functioning and compatibility of the unit “tenderness”/“ternura” in Russian and Spanish-language texts, the main characteristics and components of the values of the nuclear zone of the concept were identified, characterizing “tenderness” as a feeling and the nature of relations between people. In the course of studying the near-nuclear zone of the concept “tenderness”, its expression in the text space was analyzed, including semantic exits beyond the data recorded in dictionaries. At the third stage, the ethnospecific features of the concept were investigated, that is, its peripheral zone, revealing the representation of the concept in the perception of representatives of modern linguistic cultures, live conversational speech and consciousness of modern speakers of Russian and Spanish. Based on a linguoassociative experiment among representatives of the Russian and Spanish linguocultures, conducted in two stages (2011 and 2022), conclusions were drawn about the semantic content of the concept and the change of its components in dynamics. At the end of the research, it was concluded that, despite the preservation of the integrity of the semantic scope of the concept of “tenderness”, its internal content undergoes transformation and redistribution of the components of meaning, occurring in accordance with the priorities of social life and consonance with the needs of society.

Abstract:
In modern linguistics, research is actively developing aimed at cognizing the surrounding reality, verbalized by linguistic units of a particular language. At the same time, of course, interdisciplinary research, including both linguistic and extralinguistic data, is of particular value. The relevance of our article is the comparison of the concepts of YOUTH and JUVENTUD as fragments of the linguistic picture of the world of the Russian-speaking and Spanish-speaking peoples based on the synthesis of linguocultural and linguocognitive approaches to the study of concepts. The purpose of the work is to identify and compare the conceptual features of the above-mentioned concepts in Russian and Spanish linguistic cultures based on lexicographic sources and using extralinguistic socio-demographic data. The results obtained can find practical application in lexicographical activity. In our study, the conceptual features of the concepts of YOUTH and JUVENTUD were reconstructed based on the data of explanatory, encyclopedic, etymological dictionaries of the Russian and Spanish languages. The conceptual features of the mentioned concepts were identified by understanding the semantic scope of the names of the concepts: the lexemes youth, young in Russian and juventud, joven – in Spanish. Despite the fact that the concept of YOUTH was previously the subject of scientific analysis in the works of Russian linguists, a comparative study of the conceptual features of the concepts of YOUTH and JUVENTUD in Russian and Spanish linguistic cultures has not been conducted before, which is the novelty of the article. It was revealed that the coinciding conceptual features include: 1) a certain life stage of a person between adolescence and adulthood; 2) characteristic of youth; 3) the first stage of life / existence (about an animal, plant, phenomenon); 4) younger in age or time. It was also found that the period of youth for speakers of Spanish linguoculture covers a greater number of years, compared with the same period in Russian linguoculture, which is due to extralinguistic factors – a longer life expectancy in a Spanish-speaking society. In addition, for native Russian speakers, YOUTH is often associated with ‘immaturity, weakness’, while in Spanish linguoculture JUVENTUD is perceived as a period of ‘flourishing, strength, energy'.

Abstract:
The article offers an analysis of the paremias of Russian, French, Malagasy and Spanish, devoted to women. The research material was the paremiological units of these languages, obtained by continuous sampling from collections of paremias, works of art and bilingual dictionaries, the selection criterion is the presence of a woman’s lexical unit (French femme , Spanish mujer , Malagasy Vehivavy ) or a description of appearance, significance, behavior function as mother, wife, housewife, etc. in paremias in considered linguocultures. The purpose of the study is to reveal the universal and cultural-specific features of the concept of a woman in the considered corps of the Russian, French Malagasy and Spanish paremies. The tasks of the work also include consideration of the peculiarities of the paremiological and lexical units used in this fragment of the linguistic picture, as well as to describe the general and non-coinciding aspects of the origin and functioning of the antiparemia and the use of gradualness in the paremies. The selection and analysis of paremiological units showed that in the languages in question one can find paremic units characterizing a woman as ideal, intelligent, strong, etc. person, and also the importance of a woman as a housewife and her superiority over a man. A significant part of the analyzed linguistic material is made up of paradoxes in which a woman is compared with a female animal, a plant or object with which a certain quality of a woman is associated, and also a woman is presented as a stupid, talkative, unreliable, lazy, capricious person or unreasonable wife. The originality of the research is that the first time the analysis of the comparative consideration of the paremias about the woman on the material of the Russian, French, Malagasy and Spanish languages and the lexical and paremiological material of the Malagasy language introduced into the scientific circulation is made.

Abstract:
The research presented in the article was carried out within the framework of the conceptual and metaphorical theory of J. Lakoff and M. Johnson. One of the conceptual metaphors related to the conceptual metaphors of European culture is the metaphor TIME IS A LIMITED RE-SOURCE, TIME IS A VALUE. The meaning ‘to waste time’ is noted in the Russian verb to lose, French perdre, gaspiller, Spanish perder, Italian perdere, English lose, waste, misspend, squander, German verlieren, etc. Using the example of the Russian verb to lose, the classes of use of these predicates in the indicated meaning are presented in the article, as well as some features of the French and English units reflecting the specific features of the worldview of these languages are not-ed. The research is based on a large corpus of explanatory and bilingual dictionaries, data from linguistic corpuses. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that, as it has been noted by the authors of the conceptual theory of metaphor, the basic values of culture are consistent with the metaphorical structures of its basic concepts. The relevance of the study is also determined by the fact that the study of metaphorical concepts is one of the ways to reconstruct the linguistic picture of the world.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the phenomenon of post–truth in the modern media space, particularly in Spain. For the first time, the neologism “post-truth” was recorded in the explanatory dictionaries of the Spanish language in 2017. It was nominated for the “word of the year”. Interest in studying this phenomenon is growing every year as post-truth has become an integral part of the modern media space around the world. The phenomenon is widely studied in modern science. The research material for the article is the daily social and political newspaper ABC, which is considered one of the leading publications related to quality press in Spain. The author examines the phenomenon of post-truth on the material of newspaper publications devoted to the problem of violence against women during the state of emergency in Spain (from March 14 to June 21) due to COVID-19. The analysis of the published material in the newspaper (more than 250 articles) showed that journalists are actively using linguistic techniques of manipulative influence on the reader — exaggeration of facts or their distortion/inaccuracy, use of affective vocabulary, vivid and memorable phraseological units, epithets, comparisons, reference to unreliable sources and appeal to civil liability. All these linguistic methods contribute to the formation of a distorted picture of the actual situation in Spanish society regarding gender-based violence. The author revealed that the statistics in the newspaper do not correspond to the official data. All this testifies to the phenomenon of post-truth in the modern media space in Spain. The findings confirm that modern journalism plays on people’s emotions and feelings to attract the reader.

Abstract:
The concept IDENTIDAD is of great importance in the daily life and activities of Spanish language speakers and plays an important role in shaping the conceptual and linguistic pictures of the world. The present article is dedicated to study the structural-cognitive approach, the concept and the structural-semantic features of the word IDENTIDAD. The models of the construction of the concept (field, frame) were determined, while the principles of the organization of the components in the semantic structure of the concepts were revealed as well. The present publication presents the structure of the concept IDENTIDAD on the material of Hispanic lexicographic sources. The language tools used to represent the concept IDENTIDAD were also considered.Spanish nouns, verbs and adjectives that state the features of the concept IDENTIDAD were defined and analyzed. To identify both the conceptual characteristics and content of the concept, a comparison of linguistic units, vocabulary definitions and language contexts were performed. Conceptual peculiarities manifested the value of the linguistic units used to express this concept, vocabulary and linguistic contexts. This is the reason why the linguistic means were analyzed in speech to express the concept IDENTIDAD. The material of the study of the conceptual component consisted in articles of encyclopedic, synonymous and explanatory dictionaries containing the key token IDENTIDAD. The structure of the concept IDENTIDAD was represented by the synthesis of the core and the periphery, which distinguished the conceptual, figurative and value components. The construction of the concept under study was possible by modeling the hierarchical structure to analyze the distribution of linguistic material by terminals, slots and subplots.
