The reaction of [(CO)5Cr(THF)] with propynethioic acid amides, R-C≡C-C(=S)NMe2 (R = H, SiMe3), yields the thioamide complexes [(CO)5Cr-S=C(NMe2)C≡C-H] (1a) and [(CO)5Cr- S=C(NMe2)C≡C-SiMe3] (1b). Treatment of solutions of 1a or 1b with methyllithium generates, via deprotonation or desilylation, the lithium salt Li[(CO)5Cr-S=C(NMe2)C≡C] (2). On filtration over silica, 2 is readily reprotonated. BACKGROUND Chemiluminescence immunoassay (CIA) is used to detect hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody status on the basis of signal-to-cutoff (S/Co) ratios. Positive results of antibody to HCV (anti-HCV) are followed by either recombinant immunoblot assay (RIBA) to confirm anti-HCV positivity or reverse transcription (RT)-PCR to detect viremia. We hypothesized that by analyzing S/Co ratios, we could determine a strategy to reduce unnecessary supplementary testing in our population. It follows from a theorem of Davies (1952) that if A is an analytic subset of the Cantor middle third set, λ is positive and the Hausdorff s-measure of A is greater than λ, then there is a compact subset C of A such that the Hausdorff s-measure of C is greater than λ. We exhibit a counterpoint to Davies’s theorem: In Gödel’s universe of sets, there is a co-analytic subset B of the Cantor set which has full Hausdorff dimension such that if C is a closed subset of B then C is countable.

The final chapter offers a study of the word ‘co-inherence’ in English-speaking theology before proposing a way in which differences between Lewis and Williams might be resolved. It recalls that Williams uses kabbalistic imagery to evoke a world in which God’s glory is immanent, while Lewis draws on Christian Neoplatonism to emphasize divine transcendence. While Williams fails fully to work out the idea of human co-inherence within the Holy Trinity, the potential for this is expressed in several writings. For instance, the image of ‘the land of the Trinity’ carries an implication of ‘dwelling’ in the Trinity, and there is also promise of this development in Williams’ earlier theology of romantic love. But the kind of co-inherence that Beatrice exemplifies in The Figure of Beatrice is simply being ‘in Christ’ who is Love itself, rather than participating in trinitarian relations of love. This chapter considers the way in which ‘co-inherence’ shapes Williams’ developing perspective on William Blake. The account draws on lecture notes, lectures, and published pieces. Especially significant is the lecture of March 1939, written when Williams was beginning to use the term ‘co-inherence’. Throughout his commentary on Blake, Williams consistently draws attention to the interrelatedness of living things in Blake’s poetry, culminating in the metaphor of a great ‘web’, expressing a wholeness of creation that can be built by the imagination: a ‘co-inherence’ that defeats ‘incoherence’.
