Abstract:
Most of the Skyrme interactions are known to predict spin or isospin instabilities beyond the saturation density of nuclear matter which contradict predictions based on realistic interactions. A modification of the standard Skyrme interaction is proposed so that the ferromagnetic instability is removed. The new terms are density dependent and modify only the spin p - h interaction in the case of spin-saturated system.

Abstract:
Composite models generally predict the existence of excited quark and lepton states. We consider the production and experimental signatures of excited quarks Q* of spin and isospin 1/2 at hadron colliders and estimate the background for those channels which are most promising for Q* identification. Multi-TeVpp-colliders will give access to such particles with masses up to several TeV.

Abstract:
Symmetry energy coefficients of explicitly isospin asymmetric nuclear matter at variable densities (from 0.5ρ0 up to 2ρ0) are studied as generalized screening functions. An extended stability condition for asymmetric nuclear matter is proposed. We find the possibility of obtaining stable asymmetric nuclear matter even in some cases for which the symmetric nuclear matter limit is unstable. Skyrme-type forces are extensively used in analytical expressions of the symmetry energy coefficients derived as generalized screening functions in the four channels of the particle hole interaction producing

The structure of exotic nuclei sheds new light on the linkage of the nuclear structure to the nucleonic interaction. The self-consistent mean-field (SCMF) theories are useful to investigate this linkage, which are applicable to many nuclei covering almost the whole range of the nuclear chart without artificial truncation of model space. For this purpose, it is desired to develop effective interaction for the SCMF calculations well connected to the bare nucleonic interaction. Focusing on ground-state properties, I show the results of SCMF calculations primarily with the Michigan-three-range-Yuk

We study Gamow-Teller strength distributions within a QRPA approach performed on top of a deformed Skyrme-Hartree-Fock+BCS single particle basis with the inclusion of residual spin-isospin interactions in both particle-hole and particle-particle channels. We focus our attention in several problems of interest in Nuclear Structure and Nuclear Astrophysics, such as the β-decay properties of proton-rich medium-mass nuclei of astrophysical interest and the deformation dependence of the Gamow-Teller strength distributions in neutron deficient Pb isotopes. We also discuss the role of deformation in

Abstract:
Four-body calculations with explicitly correlated Gaussian bases are performed for excited states of 4 He . All the levels below E x =26 MeV are reproduced reasonably well using realistic potentials. An analysis is made to show how the [Formula: see text] state becomes a resonance but those having almost the same structure as this state in different spin-isospin channels are not observed as resonances. The calculation of spectroscopic amplitudes, nucleon decay widths, and spin-dipole transition strengths demonstrates that the [Formula: see text] state and the three lowest-lying negative-parity

Abstract:
With the resonating group method, we study the non-local Σ - N interaction and spin–isospin dependence of Σ - N in the chiral SU (3) quark model. Meanwhile, the binding energy of hypernucleus [Formula: see text] is calculated based on the non-local Σ - N interaction in the union of channels with (S = 0, T = 1/2), (S = 1, T = 1/2) and (S = 0, T = 3/2). The result shows that there theoretically exists bound state of [Formula: see text]. Furthermore, we analyze the effect of various potentials and relative motion energy between hyperon and core on the binding energy in the model.

Diffractive production of π- π- π+ and π- π0 π0 final states is the subject of comprehensive studies performed recently by the VES and the COM-PASS experiments. COMPASS pioneered the application of novel methods of partial-wave analysis: mass-independent PWA inmultiple (m3π, t’)-cells, mass-dependent analysis of spin-density matrices performed simultaneously in all measured t’ bins, the analysis with freed shapes of π+ π- isobars. In addition, COMPASS observed a new narrow state: a1(1420). VES has world-leading data samples on π- π- π+ and π- π0 π0, that yield compatible results and show the p

In this manuscript, some relations between theoretical nuclear physics and compact stars, which are known to be excellent tools to test matter under extreme conditions, are studied. Most of these links are performed within theoretical modelling which are used to describe both nuclei and nuclear systems in astrophysics. Self-consistent approaches unifying the description of isolated nuclei, dilute nuclei in a gas of light particles, and uniform matter, are presented in this manuscript and employed to understand the physics of compact stars.
