Abstract:
The analysis of the situation in the Muslim environment shows that at present the process of forming a religious network in Ukraine has largely taken place. The vast majority of communities are under the jurisdiction of three spiritual centers - the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Crimea (296 communities), the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Ukraine (58), the Spiritual Center of the Muslims of Ukraine (14). In addition, there are communities that do not belong to any of these three centers. From time to time they try to unite. So, today, no spiritual center represents all Muslims of Ukraine and cannot formally and officially speak on their behalf.

The article is the result of extensive research and generalization of available sources and literature that reflect the life and spiritual activities of Garifulla Ishan Gainullin – one of the most authoritative religious figures of the Middle Volga region of the Soviet period. He was the last Tatar Sheikh of the Naqshbandi tariqah, who was related to Dagestani Sheikh Bayazid Ishan Khairullin through Zainulla Ishan Rasulev. In his youth, he received a good theological educa-tion in a pre-revolutionary madrasah, passed many trials and overcame hardships of his time on his life's path. Despite the difficult situation in the country, he managed to gain additional reli-gious knowledge, spiritually improved himself and became an authoritative spiritual mentor (Ishan) in the Middle Volga region. Published for the first time are personal photos and docu-ments of Ishan, with some of them used in his biography. In Russian historiography, the person-ality of Garifulla Ishan Gainullin has not been studied in detail and many of its aspects are little known to general readers.

Abstract:
This paper examined the relationship between spiritual intelligence (SQ) and organizational commitment (OC) among employees. Consistent with Multiple Intelligence Theory (MI), 510 teachers were drawn through a list-based simple random sampling technique in the Peninsular areas of Malaysia. Hypothesis was tested with structural equation modeling (SEM) and the structural model was assessed through renowned GOF indices. Findings revealed that SQ relates significantly positive with OC, such that spiritually intelligent employees are more obliged towards workplace activities. GOF indices showed χ² / df ratio (997.341 / 547) = 1.823, RMSEA (0.057), and CFI (0.903), providing empirical support for the hypothesized structural model. The study outcomes are promising. Theoretically, it contributes to organizational behavior research regarding the influence of spiritual resources and virtues on employees’ behavior. The study has implications for HR policies such as compensation and motivation. Spiritual intelligence aids employees to see beyond the material aspects of the workplace. Hence, they are better inspired when HR managers augment HR policies with SQ components. Practically, employees are more productive, creative, and resourceful when performing organizational activities. Therefore, the study provides indication on how employees can consider work-related activities as a quest worth achieving. Within this process, lies the opportunity to experience spiritual consciousness which stimulates their personal growth and development. The study is limited in a number of ways. It is cross-sectional, purely quantitative, and has its social-demographic factors controlled.

Which is in line with the National Education System Law of 2003. The current practice of Islamic Education tends to emphasize cognitive aspects, while the psychomotor aspects are rarely touched, including the planting of faith (apective aspects). Aldrich, Renuka K. "The Saving Grace of Spiritual Activities and Perceptions of God: Assessing Differences in Managing Anxiety for Spiritual Majorities and Minorities." Diss., Virginia Tech, 2018. http://hdl.handle.net/10919/96024.

Full text
Abstract:
More than 40 million American adults suffer from anxiety, but only a third receive care despite evidence of effective treatment. This is attributed to lack of access to adequate services, cultural-based myths, and prohibitive symptoms associated with anxiety, especially for marginalized populations such as racial minorities. Since spirituality is often used as a coping mechanism especially for racial groups, psychotherapy has slowly begun incorporating it into treatment. While this has the potential to reduce some barriers to care, the increasing number of Americans who are disaffiliating with traditional faiths or belong to minority spiritualities may not use the same coping mechanisms. The current study sought to contribute to the literature by obtaining a better understanding of whether the use of traditional spiritual activities and perceptions of God are different for spiritual majorities and minorities especially in managing anxiety. Using a nationally representative sample of U.S. adults (n=1525) from the Baylor Religion Study, structural equation models were tested to examine the relationships between anxiety and religious beliefs related to attachment to God as well as between anxiety and spiritual activities that encompass both social, organizational and private, subjective religiosity. Minority stress and attachment theories guided hypotheses that higher levels of anxiety would be associated with status as a spiritual minority but would be positively mediated by participation in spiritual activities such as worship services, prayer and scripture reading as well as mediated by more secure attachment to God. Results indicated that unlike spiritual majorities, spiritual minorities show lower anxiety levels compared with spiritual majorities unless using traditional forms of spiritual activities. Rather than positive or negative perceptions of the relationship with God, inconsistent perceptions were associated with higher levels of anxiety for all participants. Spiritual minorities had lower levels of both positive and negative perceptions of God's persona as well as lower levels of positive perceptions of the relationship with God, none of which correlated to anxiety. The results may indicate that spiritual minorities use other activities to successfully cope with anxiety and that they have greater anxiety when trying to conform to the dominant culture. This has important implications for practice given that many therapists lack training on how to incorporate spirituality into treatment. Distinctions between perceptions of the relationship with God and of God's persona indicate the need for further study of how more nuanced spiritual beliefs influence anxiety outcomes for a diverse range of spiritual practice and of the process by which individuals intentionally use spiritual tools to cope with anxiety.

Full text
Abstract:
This mixed methods research investigated how young adult alumnae from a Catholic female high school perceive the impact of their high school service experience concerning their "beliefs" about the importance of service, current "engagement" in service, and their beliefs about and engagement with four Catholic Social Teaching principles (life and dignity, care for the poor, solidarity and common good, and rights and responsibilities) related to social justice. This research draws data from young adult alumnae from a Catholic female single-sex high school in a metropolitan city of the United States. The data collection included a web-based survey (N=131), individual interview (n=9), and school documents review. Catholic theology of the human person, and Catholic social teaching principles served as the conceptual framework for data analysis. The quantitative data revealed that Catholic high school service program experience positively impacts participants' "beliefs" about the importance of service (65%), and the importance of four Catholic social teaching principles (73%). The qualitative data corroborates with the quantitative findings. However, participants lacked translating their beliefs in to action with only 42% reporting as "engaged" in service. Although a majority of participants (60%) reported as engaged in activities related to four CST principles, in reality only 25% are significantly engaged in service in the past 12 months. Catholic educators are invited to examine their service pedagogy and address factors that contribute to low level of service engagement. Further research is suggested to identify factors that would raise the level of service engagement in alumnae’s young adult life.

English Abstracts According to a statement of Ding, Ren-jie in his essay, The Theories for Folk Religious Beliefs Transformation of Delocalized Social Circumstance: Focus on a Role Played by Private Altar Behind Connecting Inner Spiritual Mind Phenomenon,a first model of "spiritual activities" began in the 1980s and it was very prevalent in the 1990s in the entire Taiwan Island. Until 2007, this kind of folk events are still developing and getting more popular. Therefore, the research on my essay, Spiritual Activities and Mental Energy, emphasizes on spirit practioners who are participating psychial affairs. There is a further discussion on aspects of mental transition and conscious level recognition in the process of spiritual practice, which include spritual movements, songs, dances, sayings, and writings, and so on during the emotional and behavioral performance. In the essay, no only some cases and examples would be listed and described appropriately, and but also it includes actual experience and realization from the author. So-called the proficiency of channeling and supernatural power for "folk spiritual shaman" could be clarified, it is attributed to purification of practicing messages and enlightment for perception of birth and death. Thus high energy is connected, it does not belong to secrets of mysterious metaphysics, and not an inconceivable phenomenon for human beings. Followers are often encouraged to practice because of "merits" in the religions but we are not able to gradually demonstrate "enlightment" potential by entering "self" state in depth from "ego" if exterior consciousness never connect with interior sub-consciousness and then exchange information. Human conscoiusness is complex and variable due to reciprocal mutual existence and repetition between sub-consciousness and consciousness. A name, "will", is called by someone for elusive consciousness forms. In other words, it is sentimental response during mutual affectively of unconsciouness and consciousness. That is a source of selfness and is also a foundation for awaken the mind and see its true nature. Therefore, direct practicing sub-consciousness and its convert adumbrative image could be a main purpose of present psychial affairs. Let human body and carrying body spiritual symbol, "spirits", can be united in the soul and body, i.e. mutual integration between sub-consciousness and consciousness, or spirits. It has by a way of natural energy transformation which reflect to high existence entity for "Deities" in order to awake perceptive consciousness of spiritual practitioners. Hence, sub-consciousness is like a Pandora's box, how to open the box means developing potentials and consciousness transformation. THis is a necessary course for spiritual practitioners. Consequently, practice is merits gaining, let "merits" cultivate sub-consciousness until it is mature and can exchange information with deities. Accordingly, so-called "merits" should be back to the advance of intellectual self-consciousness. In the connection of consciousness and sub-consciousness, they merge in the tangible and intangible world. Besides, we tread on the path of "enlightment" under consciousness rational observation.

Abstract:
AbstractSalutogenesis introduces a paradigm that requires a perceptual change towards what creates health and how health can be facilitated. Removing the lens of pathogenesis, aging is an achievement to be embraced and older people are valued as assets for their wealth of experiences, resources, skills and knowledge. From the perspectives of older adults, the concept of healthy aging is multidimensional, comprising bio-psycho-social-spiritual health. Evidence shows that sense of coherence via resistance resources promotes health outcomes among older adults. However, very few works have attempted to operationalise the salutogenic theory to promote healthy aging among older community dwellers. This chapter provides a detailed description of the Salutogenic Healthy Aging Program Embracement (SHAPE) intervention for senior-only household dwellers. SHAPE represents an application of the salutogenic concepts: sense of coherence and resistance resources. SHAPE is an integrative person-centric multi-dimensional health resource program that employs an asset-based insight-oriented approach. Illustration of examples in which how the salutogenic concepts were operationalised in developing the SHAPE intervention approach, its content, activities and the conduction of the intervention are presented.

Abstract:
AbstractThe Colombian Pacific region is one of the most biodiverse areas in the world, but several anthropic pressures threaten its ecosystems and the ethnic groups who live there. Since the colonial era, the region has experienced two different key strategies of landscape appropriation: (1) diversification of activities in the landscape; and (2) specialisation focusing on a few landscape products. These two strategies fall at opposite ends of a modified continuum over time, including a range of intermediate situations that combine elements of the diversified and specialised strategies. The first strategy is characteristic of Afro-descendant communities, based on harmony with nature and favoring human well-being, while providing multiple ecosystem services and cultural or spiritual values. In this context, this chapter reviews the relationship of Afro-descendants with their environment in the Colombian Pacific region, taking as an example the San Marcos locality. Through interviews with key informants and participant observation, we investigate the productive and extractive practices in San Marcos. Results show that the appropriation strategy combines different sources of income. This denotes a great local ecological knowledge geared to maintenance of biodiversity. Despite Law 70 (1993) stipulating Afro-descendant communities to have guaranteed autonomy and the right to collectively manage their ancestral lands, this socio-ecological production landscape is endangered due to pressures from the dominant society towards conversion to a specialised strategy. Finally, we also analyse “transformative change” in the context of governance of San Marcos. Such change could guide a profound transformation in conservation strategies based on a fundamental reorientation of human values.

Abstract:
Mindfulness meditation has been proven efficient in treating many physical and psychological disorders. Mindfulness meditation techniques are also subjected to specific indications and contraindications. Scanning of gross body, thoughts, emotions, and memories are the essential components of any form of meditation. During those scannings, some unwanted memories and some unusual experiences are very much apparent. There are many energy points in the gross human body, which are correspondent to the endocrine system of the human body, known as Kundalini or Chakra. During meditation, those chakras are stimulated, and hidden energy is exploded; increased psychomotor activities manifest in the behaviors of the person. This behavioral manifestation is called a spiritual emergency. Professionals often confused this behavioral manifestation with psychotic illness. A spiritual emergency requires specific therapeutic management. Against this backdrop, this chapter attempts a review of research articles on spiritual emergencies and therapeutic guidelines to handle them in clinical settings.

Abstract:
If the diversity of a community is not managed properly, it will cause various problems that can lead to disharmony in the interaction patterns in that community. The diversity of students of the Faculty of Social Science and Christian Humaniora (FISHK) of IAKN Tarutung leads to a tendency to cause grouping and even create competition, which greatly affects the patterns of interactions among students. The purpose of this research is to develop the ASAS programs in revitalizing the social interaction patterns of students of the Faculty of Social Science and Christian Humaniora (FISHK) of IAKN Tarutung. This research method uses a quantitative description, which aims to explain events that are described in the form of Figures containing useful numbers. The four indicators for the Adaptive Program (A) show that 31.13% of respondents strongly agree to hold adaptive programs, 61.13% of respondents agree, 6.78% disagree, and 0.88% of respondents strongly disagree. The seven indicators for the Spiritual Program (S) show that 38.14% of respondents strongly agree to hold spiritual activities, 56.71% of respondents agree, 5.14% of respondents disagree, and no one strongly disagrees. The five indicators for the Academic Program (A) show that 29.4% of respondents strongly agree to hold an academic program, 61.6% of the respondents agree, 8.4% of respondents disagree, and 0.6% of the respondents strongly disagree. The four indicators for the Spiritual Program (S) show that 30.75% of respondents strongly agree to hold social activities, 60% of the respondents agree, 8.75% of respondents disagree, and less than one percent (0.5%) of respondents strongly disagree. From all the indicators in the ASAS program that have been implemented, it can be concluded that the ASAS (Adaptive, Spiritual, Academic and Social) programs can be as solutions in revitalizing interaction patterns among students and those can become references for readers or others in overcoming disharmony issues in a community.

Abstract:
One of the most important aspects of medieval human life was being in a community. On the one hand, medieval city itself was such a community, whereas on the other hand, there still remained social, economic and occupational differences between its inhabitants, which in daily life dissociated people. In addition to the community in the city, the church and the family, another type of community developed in medieval cities – professional or artisan associations, fraternities or guilds. For a very long time, the studies dedicated to these organizations focused mainly on their economic, legal and organizational aspects, and hence guilds are mainly associated with their economic activities. However, the religious and social life they yielded was no less important and provided people’s daily lives with activities that complemented their spiritual and social life. The aim of the study is to review and analyse the social practices found in the source material, whereby such aspects of socialization as the formation of beneficial social contacts, maintenance of relationships, as well as mutual assistance were practiced in medieval artisan associations. Examples and their similarities in various artisan associations in Europe, including Riga, which are reported in medieval written sources, especially the statutes of these associations, will be discussed. The obtained information collected in the study confirms that associations extended beyond economic goals, as their practices promoted social contacts between members, strengthened friendships, fostered respect and responsibility for each other.

Abstract:
The subject of the study is the cooperation of S. Efremov with Western Ukrainian periodicals as a page in the history of Ukrainian journalism which covers the relationship of journalists and scientists of Eastern and Western Ukraine at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. Research methods (biographical, historical, comparative, axiological, statistical, discursive) develop the comprehensive disclosure of the article. As a result of scientific research, the origins of Ukrainocentrism in the personality of S. Efremov were clarified; his person as a public figure, journalist, publisher, literary critic is multifaceted; taking into account the specifics of the memoir genre and with the involvement of the historical context, the turning points in the destiny of the author of memoirs are interpreted, revealing cooperation with Western Ukrainian magazines and newspapers. The publications ‘Zoria’, ‘Narod’, ‘Pravda’, ‘Bukovyna’, ‘Dzvinok’, are secretly got into sub-Russian Ukraine, became for S. Efremov a spiritual basis in understanding the specifics of the national (Ukrainian) mass media, ideas of education in culture of Ukraine at the end of XIX century, its territorial integrity, and state independence. Memoirs of S. Efremov on cooperation with the iconic Galician journals ‘Notes of the Scientific Society after the name Shevchenko’ and ‘Literary-Scientific Bulletin’, testify to an important stage in the formation of the author’s worldview, the expansion of the genre boundaries of his journalism, active development as a literary critic. S. Yefremov collaborated most fruitfully and for a long time with the Literary-Scientific Bulletin, and he was impressed by the democratic position of this publication. The author’s comments reveal a long-running controversy over the publication of a review of the new edition of Kobzar and thematically related discussions around his other literary criticism, in which the talent of the demanding critic was forged. S. Efremov steadfastly defended the main principles of literary criticism: objectivity and freedom of author’s thought. The names of the allies of the Ukrainian idea L. Skochkovskyi, O. Lototskyi, O. Konyskyi, P. Zhytskyi, M. Hrushevskyi in S. Efremov’s memoirs unfold in multifaceted portrait descriptions and function as historical and cultural facts that document the pages of the author’s biography, record his activities in space and time. The results of the study give grounds to characterize S. Efremov as the first professional Ukrainian-speaking journalist.
