Abstract:
The article describes the life and spiritual heritage of the great writer Abulkasim Firdausi. His life and work, methodological and ideological origins of the formation of Firdausi as a poet. Ferdowsi is widely regarded as the guardian of the Persian language and pre-Islamic Iranian cultural identity. Of all the peoples conquered by the Arabs in the 7th century, only the Persians can boast of a large literature in the languages of the local peoples before the conquest. Recently, when asked why most Egyptians, heirs of a great pre-Islamic civilization, speak Arabic and not Coptic, an Egyptian historian replied: "Because we did not have Ferdowsi."

Abstract:
Abstract Literature documents positive effects of religion and spirituality on health including improved cognitive function, quality of life, and well-being. Extant research suggests that persons living with dementia (PWD) are more likely to have spiritual needs and rely on others to support their spiritual well-being than those without dementia. However, spiritual care is absent or minimally present in dementia care. To effectively address spiritual needs of PWDs, accurate screening and assessment is critical. We conducted an integrative review of the current literature on measures of religion and spiritualty for PWDs by searching five databases (ATLA Religion, CINAHL, PsychInfo, PubMed, and SocIndex) and identified 14 studies that were peer-reviewed original research articles focusing on assessment of religion/spirituality among PWDs and published between 2000-2020 in English. Most were conducted in Europe (n=7), included PWD in mild stage (n=68) from various settings, and were cross-sectional in design (n=8). Of a total of 17 measures identified, 6 were originally developed for the general population and then adapted for PWD, and only 3 were validated for PWD. A majority of the studies were limited in sample size, generalizability, methodological rigor, and measure validation. More research is needed using diverse samples and rigorous study designs to develop valid screening and assessment tools for this population. Improving religious and spiritual measures could greatly impact public health by improving quality of life for millions of individuals suffering from dementia and their caregivers who carry a heavy burden.

Abstract:
Background: Palliative care provide holistic services at the physical, mental, and spiritual levels. Spiritual care is an intrinsic and essential component of palliative care that WHO has recognized. However, spiritual care is still not widely known by the community and health workers in the practice of palliative care. Methods: This literature review was written based on various books, journals, and scientific articles that related to spiritual care in palliative care. The quantitative and qualitative data were obtained, then collected and sorted into a report based on the appropriate topic. Result: Spirituality is one of the fundamental dimensions in the quality of life and maintaining culture. Thus, spirituality is an important component of palliative care. Many palliative patients understand their spiritual needs and want health professionals to help them address these needs. Various existing studies show that spiritual care provides benefits, especially in emotional needs and the search for meaning in life at the end of life. Palliative care professionals can provide spiritual care, but spiritual care is complex and requires specialized knowledge, expertise, and experience in assessing and meeting patient needs, requiring further training and education. Conclusion: Various studies have shown that palliative patients need psychospiritual care to support comfort and meaning in their lives towards the end of life. So, psychospiritual care in palliative care needs to be implemented and improved, especially in training for palliative care teams.

Abstract:
BACKGROUND: The frequency of hemodialysis therapy routinely affected change in the functional state of the body. Support is one of the factors that can affect life quality. One of the supports can come from nurses through a spiritual caring attitude. AIM: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between spiritual caring and the life quality of patients who were undergoing hemodialysis. METHOD: A literature review was obtained from PubMed and Google Scholar databases (2015–2020) with the keywords Spiritual Care AND Life quality AND Patients with Hemodialysis. RESULTS: Based on nine journals that have been reviewed, spiritual caring behavior that was applied in the form of intervention or spiritual therapy had been proven to have a positive impact on the life quality of patients undergoing hemodialysis. Spiritual interventions in the form of spiritual counseling, deep breathing relaxation exercises based on spiritual elements, and therapy combined with elements of prayer and dhikr were able to give the spirit of the patient in dealing with the illness. Overall, spiritual intervention affected the life quality with p = 0.000–0.032 (α = 0.05), increasing the life quality in physical, psychological, and social and environmental relations. CONCLUSION: The results show a relationship of spiritual caring with the life quality of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Abstract:
The birth process is a very valuable event for a mother where there are many mixed feelings experienced by the mother and other family members. The spiritual dimension is an integral aspect of human life that gives meaning to an individual's overall existence, and spiritual needs are commonly experienced by clients with sudden illness, loss, chronic conditions, and life-limiting conditions, including childbirth. One of the efforts to maintain mental health during the delivery process is to provide spiritual-based care. The research method used is the literature review method which was collected through the data base of the Journals of Pubmed, Medline, Pro Quest and Cochrane Lybrary. The result of the literature review is that there is empirical evidence of spiritually based midwifery care on reducing anxiety during pregnancy and preoperative cesarean section, reducing pain during labor, and improving fetal well-being.

Abstract:
Spiritual and religious struggles emerge in times where life meaning is unclear, has changed or is challenged. Resilience has been addressed in terms of psychological, social, emotional and physical capacity or competence related to struggle. However, there is a relatively sparse literature defining and addressing spiritual resilience, both what it is and how it is demonstrated. This is especially true of the oppressive and marginalised experiences of diverse older persons. This paper asks how older persons have responded to life challenge and spiritual struggle through spiritually resilient responses. It provides a foundation for the discussion of spiritual resilience in older people through examples from two different community studies: 55 LGBQ older dyads across several nations, and 75 older Black and Jewish persons residing in Chicago, IL. The first study highlights same-sex couples, discussing the complex relationship of sexuality and religion and how resilience is achieved. The second study addresses religious/spiritual struggle using a life course perspective to note where spiritual resilience has been an outcome. Spiritual resilience is at the heart of posttraumatic and stress-related growth and often emerges through a process of lived transformation leading to greater self-awareness and self-understanding in a revised construction of identity.

Abstract:
This paper examines the structure, title, epigraph, and spiritual philosophy of Leo Tolstoy’s great novel, Anna Karenina. The intricate structure of the novel can leave more questions than it answers, and as the novel was written at such a critical, complex time of Tolstoy’s life, the ideas the characters struggle with in Anna Karenina are of both daily and cosmic importance. Considering influences and criticism of the novel, the method of Tolstoy’s vision of living well as shown in Anna Karenina leads to a very specific and intricate spiritual philosophy. It is also found that the novel’s structure and title are in conflict.

Abstract:
This thesis uses print and manuscript sources to analyse and interpret women's life writing at the end of the eighteenth and beginning of the nineteenth centuries. I explore printed works by Catharine Phillips, Mary Dudley, Priscilla Hannah Gurney, Ann Freeman, Elizabeth Steele, Mary Robinson, Helen Maria Williams, Mary Wollstonecraft, Grace Dalrymple Elliott, and Charlotte West and discuss the manuscripts of Mary Fletcher, Mary Tooth, Sarah Ryan, and Elizabeth Fox. Of these sources, five have never been analysed in the critical literature and six have received little attention. Considered as a group, this large corpus of texts offers new insights into the personal and political implications of different models of female selfhood and social being. In chapter one, I compare the religious identities presented in the spiritual autobiographies of Quakers and Methodists. For these women, religious identification provides a powerful sense of social belonging and enables public participation. However, it may also lead to a loss of self in the demand for religious conformity and self-abnegation. In chapter two, I consider the life writing of late eighteenth-century courtesans. These women adapt available models of femininity and female authorship in order to establish themselves as socially connected subjects. However, their narratives also reveal that dependence on the sexual and literary marketplace puts female selfhood under pressure. In chapter three, I explore the eyewitness accounts of British women in the French Revolution. I argue that, for these writers, connecting personal identity to political history is an enabling source of self-definition but it also exposes them to the risks of self-fragmentation. In my focus on the social function of women's life writing, I present an alternative to the traditional alignment of the eighteenth-century autobiographical subject with the autonomous self of individualism. These narratives allow us to reconsider the productive and problematic dialectic between personal expression and representative selfhood, self-authorship and collective narratives, and individualism and social being. They suggest that women's life writing has the potential to be both the self-expression of a unique heroine and the self-inscription of a politicised subject.

Walker's latest three novels address in some way walker's notions of spirituality and her idea that many people suffer from a type of spiritual sickness which prevents them from realizing the fullest extent of their spirituality. The well as with themselves. Possessing the Secret of Joy doesnot discuss Walker's thoughts on spirituality as much as her earlier works. Instead, the book focuses on Tashi, the main character, who suffers a form of physical mutilation which leads to her spiritual suffering.By looking at Walker's novels and by reading other works, both fictional and nonfictional, including the influential work The Great Cosmic Mother by Monica Sjoo and Barbara Mor, I have developed a theory of Walker's spirituality. Using this idea about spirituality, I then examined Walker's novels for evidence of forms of spiritual sickness in her characters and studied the ways in which the characters overcame their respective spiritual difficulties.<br>Department of English

Abstract:
Spiritual health is one of the essential components of health, where patients search for meaning and purpose in life. Patients with life threatening illnesses experience distress, both physically and spiritually. There are studies which found that nurses did not regularly integrate spiritual care into their daily routine, due to lack of time and lack of education. It is important to discover existing evidences of spiritual interventions which help the nurses promote spiritual health as regards to patients’ need in hospital settings. The aim of this study was to describe nursing interventions applied in promoting spiritual health for patients with life threatening illnesses in hospital settings. A literature review of sixteen articles was carried out. Articles were retrieved from CINAHL and MEDLINE databases to answer the study’s objective. Eleven articles were retrieved from the databases and five articles were found using an ancestry search. A process of re-reading and finding the similar categories from articles was being used to develop themes in analyzing the data. Results were categorized into three themes: person-centred communication, adapting a team approach, and modifying the physical environment. It was found that the nurses conducted a deeper level of communication which covered topics about patients’ wishes and hopes, and being there for patients as major interventions. The nurses also assessed patients’ spiritual needs prior to interventions, and were promoting patients and family belief and value in a respectful way. Family and referrals were also included in the intervention given by the palliative care team, moreover the nurses were providing privacy with regards to supporting a healing environment. In conclusion acknowledgement of dying is essential in providing appropriate care. It is essential for the nurses to be prepared adequately through education, to conduct spiritual care interventions within a person-centred care approach. The information from this study may improve the quality of delivering spiritual care in hospital settings for patients with life threatening illnesses. Further recommendation for future research is to explore deeper about various spiritual nursing interventions from various cultures.

Thesis, University of Aberdeen, 2010. http://digitool.abdn.ac.uk:80/webclient/DeliveryManager?pid=158574.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis explores how and why literature and reading, as a practice within Christian families, can play an influential role in the spiritual formation of children. The first part presents a picture of Christian parenting, drawn from three theologians: Karl Barth on parents and children, based in the doctrines of creation and Christology, and the I/Thou relationship; the Roman Catholic doctrine of family as ‘domestic church’, as discussed by Florence Caffrey Bourg; and Stanley Hauweras, largely concerning his emphases of a Christian ethic, the narrative structure of life, and the Body of Christ as essential for raising children. The second part moves to investigate philosophy and literary theory, in order to show how literature is formative, from three philosophers: Richard Eldridge sees it as intellectually educational as one moves between autonomy and embeddedness in moral personhood; Martha Nussbaum argues that it is emotionally experiential, returning emotions, imagination and particulars to a central part of the search for a good life; and Wayne C. Booth presents it as an educating experience, in which one should fully engage with the work, reflect upon it, and share one’s assessments in discussion. In the last chapter and conclusion, four major themes are discussed—individuals in community, narrativity, the good life of faith, and open closure—in order to bring into clearer focus the ways literature and its formative nature can enhance the raising of children in faith, the task of Christian parents.

Abstract:
AbstractBreath and breathlessness are flashpoints in medieval literary texts. Medieval medical theories, rooted in classical thought, emphasise the bodily spirits and in particular, the ways that motions of the ‘vital spirit’—closely connected with breath—cause powerful physical responses that write emotions on the body in sighs, swoons, and even death. Physiological theory was complemented by theological notions of pneuma, the Spirit of divinity and life. The movement of breath plays a key role in depictions of emotion from love to grief, and in visionary or mystical experience. This essay explores breath and breathlessness in a range of English secular and devotional literary texts: popular romance writing, the medically alert fictions of Chaucer, and visionary works including the Revelations of Divine Love of Julian of Norwich and the spiritual autobiography of Margery Kempe. In all these works, concepts of the vital spirits and the role of breath in emotion are central. The play of breath underpins and shapes depictions of romantic love, explorations of the boundary between life and death, and ideas of spiritual revelation, creating narratives of profoundly embodied, affective experience.

Abstract:
Abstract The introduction of electronic health records (EHRs) into clinical practice appears to be irreversible. Where EHRs are used, chaplains have cooperated willingly with this way of reporting and sharing information with other members of the care team. They will have to, as a result, adapt their own note-taking practices to ensure effective, relevant and meaningful communication as part of the joint decision-making process. Although the specialized literature has addressed some of the “classic” ethical issues raised by EHRs, in particular those in connection with confidentiality and access, other questions, no less crucial, have received less attention and are addressed here. They include questions about the recognition of all players in the care relationship (both patients and caregivers) as subjects, and the communication of “non-generic” information about emotions, values, life history, etc. The fact that chaplains contribute to EHRs is both a sign of and a vector for recognition of their work within healthcare institutions – yet a recognition that could involve a price to pay for chaplains and patients.

AbstractIn the absence of information about the role of breathing as part of the contemplative exercises of medieval English mystics, this essay investigates instead modern-day breathing practices as advocated by teachers of brass instruments and modern-day spiritual movements. Arnold Jacobs and Michel Ricquier offer information about breathing techniques for the use of brass musicians that share revealing characteristics with proponents of Holotropic Breathwork, itself influenced by pranayama, the art of breath control. The evidence gathered, once applied to the practice of short-word contemplative exercises encouraged by fourteenth-century mystics, provides ground-breaking information on the transformative power of breath in medieval contemplation.

Abstract:
Eugène-Melchior de Vogüé is widely known as a critic and cultural ambassador who, with the publication of his essays on Russian literature in Le roman russe (1886), popularized the works of Pushkin, Gogol, Turgenev, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Gorky, fanning the flames of the epoch’s “Russian fever.” In this chapter I emphasize de Vogüé’s work as a translator and translation theorist. His essays on translation, which appear in his longer critiques as well as in his reviews of and prefaces to translated Russian works, unearth a paradox: the very quality he eulogized in Russian novels—the language of moral suffering—he judged impossible to translate. The second half of the chapter explores how de Vogüé resolves to foster understanding for characters whose moral or spiritual constitution defies translation. In his own translations, which include all the quotations in Le Roman russe and a short story by Tolstoy, de Vogüé endeavours to cultivate compassion for characters (and authors) who are, at times, too foreign to pity. Ultimately, I argue that de Vogüé’s project (to restore the spiritual life of the French literary tradition) was accomplished not through his literary criticism but through his translations.

Abstract:
Chapter 7 is the first chapter in part C of the book, “Erotic Intimacy with Christ and the Maturation of Desire,” which sees the aging bishop, in the late phase of his literary career, retreat from ecclesiastical affairs and focus more intensely than ever before on the implications of diachronic progress in the spiritual life. Chapter 7 examines the expanded meaning of virginity: it now denotes purity of heart in a general moral sense and can therefore be applied to Christians who are married—as long as their desires are chastened and transformed through the practices of prayer and virtue. Gregory, at this point in his literary career, regards any form of sin (hamartia) as an act of spiritual infidelity against Christ, the incorruptible Bridegroom. The parthenia/porneia disjunction is therefore used to contrast the life of virtue and the life of vice (more generally understood), not simply sexual abstinence and sexual vice. Gregory also applies the theme of maturation to the conjugal life—a point so far overlooked in the secondary literature—which provides new insights into his understanding of the order (taxis) of love in the life of virtue. The chapter ends with a detailed elucidation of Gregory’s diachronically theorized account of spiritual maturation (which highlights the essential incorporation of erotic desire in the practice of contemplation) and examines his on bodily development (especially enfeeblement in old age).

Abstract:
Huang Lihai is one of the most active contemporary Chinese poets in the past two decades. His poems are a return to poetry, language and life. In the era of change and grand discourse dominating the aesthetic interpretation of literature, Huang Lihai’s poetry and spiritual exploration have obvious implications. His vitality in poetry creation and poetry activities has an important connection with his Christian faith and his thought resources. Huang Lihai pays close attention to individual life with heavy religious feelings, and tries to restore the relationship between man and god, the relationship between man and man, and the relationship between man and nature in the post-modern era. Backed by belief, he maintained human dignity and integrity with poetry, and opened up the divine dimension of poetry writing, which opened up a new aesthetic dimension for the Chinese contemporary poetry.

Russian sinologist V. M. Alexeyev translated and studied Liaozhai according to the new “artistic requirements” in the Soviet era, that is: 1) the requirement to introduce the real Chinese language and art works to the Russian and Soviet people and show his translation talent; 2) the requirement to adapt to the historical culture and aesthetic psychology of the Russian nation and meet the needs of the Russian people; 3) the requirement to conform to the popular social trend of thought among Russian humanistic intellectuals at the turn of the 19th–20th century, and to introduce Oriental wisdom; 4) the requirement to communicate with Pu Songling, an ancient Chinese writer who has common ground in life experience and social ideal, and to express his inner feelings and resonance. Alexeyev’s spiritual communication with Pu Songling is not only the impetus of his whole life to study Liaozhai, but also the secret of his great success in Liaozhai study.

Abstract:
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of physical exercise as an alternative to integrative and complementary practices and its importance in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Methods: This is a literature review that was carried out in the PubMed and SciELO databases, in which the articles were searched using the following terms: breast cancer, physical exercise, quality of life, and nonpharmacological treatment, selected between the period of 2017 and 2022. The types of study selected for research were experimental and observational. Results: A study carried out with 28 patients was divided into an experimental group (combined and hospital treatment) and a control group (hospital treatment), where it was concluded that the combined treatment (aerobic, resistance, and flexibility exercise) led to an increase in the frequency of physical activity. Physical exercise in patients with breast cancer provides better cardiorespiratory and joint control. In another study that was carried out with 10 women who survived breast cancer, for 4 months, with the practice of combined physical exercises, it was evidenced that remotely supervised non-face-to-face aerobic and resistance exercises can help maintain the level of fatigue positively. These results corroborate the perception of professionals from the Family Health Strategy, who observed the positive effects of complementary integrative practices (PICS) through the suffering and fragility in the treatment of women with breast cancer, acting on an emotional and spiritual improvement for them, which makes these practices relevant adjunct to conventional treatment in primary care. Conclusion: Physical exercise as an integrative practice can improve asthenia, assist in cardiorespiratory and joint control, and aid in the management of fatigue. Therefore, PICS provides emotional, physical, and spiritual benefits for patients diagnosed with breast cancer.

Breviario, Álaze Gabriel do. "Predestination theory: Human life is predestined, predictable and unchangeable." In V Seven International Multidisciplinary Congress. Seven Congress, 2024. http://dx.doi.org/10.56238/sevenvmulti2024-184.

Full text
Abstract:
Individual and collective human events, analyzed in light of the most sophisticated biblical and scientific knowledge and everyday observation, show that human life is predestined, predictable and immutable. Hence, the following questions arise: a) In what way?; c) By whom?; c) To what extent?; d) Is there anything else to consider? The following methodologies were used here: bibliographic and documentary survey, to review critical literature on the topic; and a simple case study, based on facts that occurred over the last thirteen years, which confirm the four main hypotheses of the research, in addition to one of the 31 hypotheses raised regarding who would have predestined human life. The Watchtower has been doing this for decades through subliminal messages and mental reprogramming, an organization involved in a network of occultism, pedophilia and sexual abuse, created by Satan, and which links this physical world to the metaphysical (spiritual), and which guides predestination, predictability and immutability of human life, whether in relative terms for Jehovah (who is loving, forgiving, can change the course of individual or collective human destiny) or in absolute terms for Satan (who is neither loving nor forgiving, does what he says he will do, only not doing it when Jehovah intervenes). Additional notes were presented as suggestions for future research.

Abstract:
In recent years, the degree of aging on a global scale has intensified, and at the same time, “living alone” has become the norm for older people. Elderly people living alone not only have their children away from home, but they are also widowed. They are a more vulnerable group than the empty-nest elders. They often face triple barriers of physical, psychological and cognitive impairment, and are therefore often trapped in a difficult and lonely life. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of elderly people living alone to communicate with others and eager to solve life problems, this design hopes to build a small help-seeking companion robot based on the principles of emotional design and to dig deeper into the user’s spiritual satisfaction and emotional resonance. This design uses literature Data search method, network survey method, questionnaire interview method, market research method have conducted an in-depth understanding of the elderly living alone, companion robots, youth groups, etc., and determined the product positioning, use process, styling design and APP UI design. This design includes a robot end for the elderly living alone and an APP end for the youth group. Abstract:
ABSTRACT The evolution and development of each system follow the dynamic pace of everyday life, technological progress, consumer’s interests and needs satisfaction, adaptation to modern socio-economic conditions, and other important factors. The aim of the present study is to track peculiarities in the evolutionary development of taekwondo from spiritual and cultural practice to a martial art. The object of this study is the system of Taekwondo WT. The subject of our research are the stages in the development of Taekwondo WT, transformations in the legal framework of the World Taekwondo Feder-ation, and some specific and essential aspects of the system. The evolutionary stages in the transformation of Taekwondo WT, proposed by the author, are part of a wider concept related to its institutionalization. Various literature sources and key documents of the World Taekwondo Federation from different periods of the system were studied through the application of content analysis. The results indicate that Taekwondo WT is a system with a wide range and consumer interest. The inclusion of WT taekwondo as a major sport in the Olympic Games not only attracts more users, but also leads to dynamic transformations in the legal framework of the World Federation, to the implementation of technical devices to increase objectivity in competitions and to the launch of new products and services. In addition, different approaches are being adapted to increase the audience’s interest in WT taekwondo events, as well as different practices by sport clubs are being applied to meet the needs of the consumers. The reviewed WT taekwondo system, its current state and stages of development, clearly outline a departure from the ancient ideology and philosophy of the martial arts at the expense of a global scale and scope, leading to today’s typical goals - segmentation, meeting different consumer needs, achieving high sports results, more people involved, easy accessibility, etc.

Abstract:
The article attempts to analyze the canonical Confucian treatise Li Ji from the philosophical and religious studies’ perspective. Utilizing the information contained in the text, this article reconstructs the content of the ancient Chinese rituals of the life cycle — initiation, marriage, funeral and mourning, all of which served to trace and formalize changes in a person’s social status, securing his transition to a new position. Structure, functions and symbolism of ancient Chinese transitional ceremonies generally correspond with the theory of rituals of passage developed by the French researcher A. van Gennep. The results of this work demonstrate that the treatise may in the future become the object of close attention of researchers from various scientific branches, analyzing the panhuman universals of spiritual development.

Abstract:
The text of the paper presents the most important modern productions of Maxim Gorky's drama “At the Bottom” (The Lower Depths) on the Hungarian theater stage. The author examines new solutions with the help of which Hungarian scriptwriters and directors theatrically implement a verbal work. The play is present in the repertoire of Hungarian theaters to this day, as one can feel the spiritual kinship between Russian and Hungarian people, the commonality between Russian and Hungarian life, the urgency of the problem of the impossibility of getting from the bottom of society to the top. The popularity of “At the Bottom” is also explained by the fact that Gorky transforms Chekhov's model, endowing it with eternal philosophical content, thesis, and the transfer of conflict to the social plane. Hungarian theatrical art is based on the realistic presentation and execution of the text. However, there are also more daring, modernized performances with radical staging solutions, for example, the rejection of certain scenes or the addition of new ones. The focus of the review is on those modern interpretations that have chosen the “golden mean”.

Nekrasov on the Russian “lieutenant” prose of the last third of the XX century, authors of which during the great Patriotic war fought on the front line as soldiers or young commanders of the Red Army. Because autobiographical heroes of analyzed artworks are young as their authors in their front youth, today books of veterans of the Great Patriotic war and talented authors, including in educational literary programs at school and at universities, have the big value in patriotic education of the young, clearly disclose the process of the spiritual growth of defenders of their motherland.

Abstract:
The article reveals and characterizes the methodological features of teaching the discipline «Intellectual and Psychological Foundations of Mass Media Functioning» on the third year of the Faculty of Journalism at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The focus is on the principles, functions, and standards of journalistic creativity during the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. As the Russian genocidal, terrorist, and ecocidal war has posed acute challenges to the education and upbringing of student youth. A young person is called not only to acquire knowledge but to receive them simultaneously with comprehensive national, civic, and moral-spiritual upbringing. Teaching and educating students, the future journalists, on Ukrainian-centric, nation-building principles ensure a sense of unity between current socio-political processes and historical past, and open an intellectual window to Ukraine’s future. The teaching of the course ‘Intellectual-Psychological Foundations of Mass Media Functioning’ (lectures and practical classes, creative written assignments) is grounded in the philosophy of national education and upbringing, aimed at shaping a citizen-patriot and a knight, as only such a citizen is capable of selfless service to their own people, heroic struggle for freedom, and the united Ukrainian national state. The article presents student creative works, the aim of which is to develop historical national memory in students, promote the ideals of spiritual unity and integrity of Ukrainian identity, nurture the life-sustaining values of the Ukrainian language and culture, perpetuate the symbols of statehood, and strengthen the moral dignity and greatness of Ukrainian heroism. A methodology for assessing students’ pedagogical-professional competence and the fairness of teachers who deliver lectures and conduct practical classes has been summarized. The survey questions allow students to express their attitudes towards the content, methods, and forms of the educational process, which involves the application of experience from European and American countries, but the main emphasis is on the application of Ukrainian ethnopedagogy. Its defining ideas are democracy, populism, and patriotism, enriched with a distinct nation-building potential, which instills among students a unique culture of genuine Ukrainian history, the Ukrainian language and literature, national culture, and high journalistic professionalism. Key words: educator, student, journalism, education, patriotism, competence, national consciousness, Russian-Ukrainian war, professionalism.

Review question / Objective: The primary objective of this scoping review is to understand the extent and type of evidence in relation to moral injury in social work staff. The secondary objective is to establish how moral injury has been defined in the literature in the context of social work. The review question is: what is currently known about moral injury in social work staff? Background: Moral injury is the lasting psychological, spiritual and social harm caused by committing, experiencing or observing transgressions of deeply held moral values, beliefs and expectations (Haight et al., 2016). The concept of moral injury was developed and subsequently researched with populations of US veterans. Core symptomatic features of moral injury are guilt, shame, spiritual/existential conflict, and a loss of trust in self, others, and/or transcendental ultimate beings (Jinkerson, 2016). Secondary symptomatic features include depression, anxiety, anger, re-experiencing the moral conflict, self-harm, and social problems (Jinkerson, 2016).
