Abstract:
The article describes the life and spiritual heritage of the great writer Abulkasim Firdausi. His life and work, methodological and ideological origins of the formation of Firdausi as a poet. Ferdowsi is widely regarded as the guardian of the Persian language and pre-Islamic Iranian cultural identity. Of all the peoples conquered by the Arabs in the 7th century, only the Persians can boast of a large literature in the languages of the local peoples before the conquest. Recently, when asked why most Egyptians, heirs of a great pre-Islamic civilization, speak Arabic and not Coptic, an Egyptian historian replied: "Because we did not have Ferdowsi."

Abstract:
Abstract Literature documents positive effects of religion and spirituality on health including improved cognitive function, quality of life, and well-being. Extant research suggests that persons living with dementia (PWD) are more likely to have spiritual needs and rely on others to support their spiritual well-being than those without dementia. However, spiritual care is absent or minimally present in dementia care. To effectively address spiritual needs of PWDs, accurate screening and assessment is critical. We conducted an integrative review of the current literature on measures of religion and spiritualty for PWDs by searching five databases (ATLA Religion, CINAHL, PsychInfo, PubMed, and SocIndex) and identified 14 studies that were peer-reviewed original research articles focusing on assessment of religion/spirituality among PWDs and published between 2000-2020 in English. Most were conducted in Europe (n=7), included PWD in mild stage (n=68) from various settings, and were cross-sectional in design (n=8). Of a total of 17 measures identified, 6 were originally developed for the general population and then adapted for PWD, and only 3 were validated for PWD. A majority of the studies were limited in sample size, generalizability, methodological rigor, and measure validation. More research is needed using diverse samples and rigorous study designs to develop valid screening and assessment tools for this population. Improving religious and spiritual measures could greatly impact public health by improving quality of life for millions of individuals suffering from dementia and their caregivers who carry a heavy burden.

Abstract:
Background: Palliative care provide holistic services at the physical, mental, and spiritual levels. Spiritual care is an intrinsic and essential component of palliative care that WHO has recognized. However, spiritual care is still not widely known by the community and health workers in the practice of palliative care. Methods: This literature review was written based on various books, journals, and scientific articles that related to spiritual care in palliative care. The quantitative and qualitative data were obtained, then collected and sorted into a report based on the appropriate topic. Result: Spirituality is one of the fundamental dimensions in the quality of life and maintaining culture. Thus, spirituality is an important component of palliative care. Many palliative patients understand their spiritual needs and want health professionals to help them address these needs. Various existing studies show that spiritual care provides benefits, especially in emotional needs and the search for meaning in life at the end of life. Palliative care professionals can provide spiritual care, but spiritual care is complex and requires specialized knowledge, expertise, and experience in assessing and meeting patient needs, requiring further training and education. Conclusion: Various studies have shown that palliative patients need psychospiritual care to support comfort and meaning in their lives towards the end of life. So, psychospiritual care in palliative care needs to be implemented and improved, especially in training for palliative care teams.

Abstract:
Spiritual and religious struggles emerge in times where life meaning is unclear, has changed or is challenged. Resilience has been addressed in terms of psychological, social, emotional and physical capacity or competence related to struggle. However, there is a relatively sparse literature defining and addressing spiritual resilience, both what it is and how it is demonstrated. This is especially true of the oppressive and marginalised experiences of diverse older persons. This paper asks how older persons have responded to life challenge and spiritual struggle through spiritually resilient responses. It provides a foundation for the discussion of spiritual resilience in older people through examples from two different community studies: 55 LGBQ older dyads across several nations, and 75 older Black and Jewish persons residing in Chicago, IL. The first study highlights same-sex couples, discussing the complex relationship of sexuality and religion and how resilience is achieved. The second study addresses religious/spiritual struggle using a life course perspective to note where spiritual resilience has been an outcome. Spiritual resilience is at the heart of posttraumatic and stress-related growth and often emerges through a process of lived transformation leading to greater self-awareness and self-understanding in a revised construction of identity.

Abstract:
Abstract Spirituality is a part of successful aging, promoting better sleep, well-being, and cognitive function. Persons living with dementia (PLWD) are reported to have greater needs related to their spirituality (spiritual needs) compared to persons without dementia; however, support for spiritual needs is minimally present or absent in dementia care. Unmet spiritual needs may lead to depression, anxiety, and greater physical pain; thus, addressing the spiritual needs of PLWD is essential to support well-being and inform personalized care. Our integrative literature review explored characteristics of spiritual needs of PLWD and how to support them. ATLA Religion, CINAHL, PsychInfo, PubMed, and SocIndex were searched between 2000 and 2022, resulting in five original research articles meeting inclusion criteria focusing on spiritual needs of PLWD, including PLWDs’ perspectives. Most studies (n=4) were qualitative design, conducted worldwide in various settings, and included mild to moderate stage dementia. Components of spiritual needs covered the importance of connection and meaning for a sense of peace to support their identity and values. Connection to elements of spirituality included religion, meaningful relationships, nature, art, and self. Meaning was connected to past sources and experiences, supported by spiritual and religious activities. A sense of peace is supported through meaningful activities and religious rituals to help them rely on their faith through fear and memory loss. Support for spiritual needs may facilitate meaningful engagement for PLWD, leading to a sense of peace. Healthcare providers may utilize complementary, low-cost holistic care to promote personhood, values, and well-being among PLWD.

It is well known that after the collapse of the Soviet state, its constituent states gained their independence one by one, and it became a topical issue to write the history of the new state in them. In some places, there have been cases of artificial antiquity of the history of their country, the creation of a history based on myths and fairy tales. In most cases, historical literature published after 1990 did not reach the historians of the neighboring state. It can be seen that the organization of scientific conferences between the fraternal peoples, the implementation of joint scientific expeditions has slowed down.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the paradigm of many people's lives, namely the emergence of human attitudes that are aware of their limitations and begin to build a spiritually disciplined life. Humans are starting to enter a new normal era, in this era, it is easier for humans to get various information related to spiritual disciplines from various religious concepts. The thoughts of John Wesly about spiritual discipline can be a model to help the lives of Christians in carrying out spiritual discipline. This study applies a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach in the background specifically to analyze reality and conduct a literature study approach for the theoretical basis. The results of this study show that the principles of John Wesly's spiritual discipline are discipline in prayer, digging the Bible, following the sacraments, and fasting as well as showing discipline in social life. Thus, the novelty of this research is the actualization of the implementation of spiritual discipline in the context of the new normal era.

Abstract:
A great many factors influence human life. Among these are individuals’ religious and spiritual orientations, whose importance cannot be understated as they not only affect how individuals perceive and interpret themselves, events in their everyday lives, and the greater world but also shape their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Consequently, religious and spiritual orientations constitute an integral part of clients’ lives and are an important element that needs to be thoroughly investigated. In addition to having been integrated into individual psychological counseling approaches, religious/spiritual orientation has become as a highly supportive element in family therapy. Spiritually-oriented applications are quite helpful when addressing problems dealt with by individuals and families. In the current study, spiritually-oriented cognitive-behavioral family therapy is addressed in light of the relevant literature. We first present a general overview of cognitive-behavioral therapy and cognitive-behavioral family therapy, after which we frame the assessment steps followed in spiritually-oriented cognitive-behavioral family therapy within a paradigm based on religion and spirituality. After that, we reveal the religious/spiritual-based cognitive-behavioral applications that may be used during family therapy. We then discuss several exercises and applications employed during spiritually-oriented cognitive-behavioral family therapy. Finally, this study seeks to fill in gaps in the relevant literature on this topic in Turkey and offer a novel perspective to practitioners and researchers.

Abstract:
One of Crane's biographers calls his short and adventurous life "enigmatic" and his psyche "baffling and unavailable"; Crane's prose has been difficult to categorize, and his poetry has often been ignored or dismissed as cryptic. My effort to understand Crane is based first on a consideration of his poetry as a struggle for a personal faith and second on a spiritual analysis of his characteristics patterns of illness and the circumstances surrounding the decline of his health and his early death. I argue that the prevailing view of Crane as the boy-genius who sprang into literary life with an intact vision of human behavior (which he then went on to express) is based on an impoverished notion of creative genius, and I try instead to demonstrate the conflict that one can detect in Crane's writing and his life, a conflict that I assert has everything to do with his death at the age of twenty-eight: a tragic struggle between a mystic faith in solitude and self-revelation (that he eventually betrays) and a hard-boiled assertion of social and artistic conscience. I further argue that Crane's inner struggle has tremendous literary significance because it anticipates two very different twentienth-century movements in American letters and the tension between them-"expressionist" writers on the one hand and the modernists on the other.

Abstract:
Abstract Dementia marks an increasingly prevalent terminal illness for which palliative care, including spiritual care, could improve quality of life. Research gaps exist in understanding the intersection of dementia, spirituality, and palliative care. Thus, we conducted the first scoping review examining the nature and breadth of peer-reviewed studies across these three topics. The scoping review followed methods from The Joanna Briggs Institute Reviewers’ Manual (2015). We developed a priori a scoping review protocol outlining the Population, Concept and Context for study, data sources, search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and procedure for screening, extracting, and analyzing data. The final sample consisted of 19 studies with the following themes: Characterizing Spiritual Needs, Preferences, and Resources; Characterizing Palliative or Spiritual Care; Predicting Provision of Spiritual Care; and Assessing Spiritual Care Interventions. Eighteen studies were published in the past decade, and eleven were based in Europe. The majority of studies focused on long-term care settings, grouped stages of dementia or did not specify dementia stage, and investigated interventions indirectly related to spiritual palliation. Many studies were limited in sample size and in generalizability / transferability and used less sophisticated research designs. Accordingly, research across dementia, spirituality, and palliative care needs to examine distinct stages of dementia; hospital-, home- and community-based settings; and formal spiritual care interventions (e.g., administered by chaplains) and needs to utilize rigorous study designs (e.g., randomized clinical trials). Such research could advance practice and policy that enhance quality of life for tens of millions of persons with dementia and their family members worldwide.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Patients with terminal illness have a poor prognosis of illness and lead to death. The patient's understanding of the limited time he has makes the patient experience anxiety about death. Anxiety about death is specifically divided into anxiety about death itself and anxiety about the process of death. The purpose of this Literature Review is to determine and examine the spiritual qualities of death anxiety in palliative patients. In this study, the authors used literature review in the form of articles with research methods Randomized Control Trials (RCTs), cross sectional, sequential mixed, descriptive-correlational, and literature review to explore the effect of spiritual approaches on reducing anxiety levels of palliative patients using Narrative Review as the basis for reporting items of this literature review. Spiritual well-being is taken into account as an effective factor of satisfaction with life. The results also showed a significant negative association between spiritual well-being and death anxiety. Spiritual well-being can affect death anxiety in individuals, especially the elderly suffering from cancer. Individuals with higher spiritual well-being may experience less death anxiety, which stems from belief in a higher power that is God and in other worlds that can make death easy. Patients who had spiritual well-being and religious attitudes had a significant effect on life satisfaction, peace and mental health, and also reduced death anxiety. Spiritual coping and religiosity can affect the improvement of the quality of life of palliative patients with spiritual activity. This writing aims to describe the spiritual renewal of Christian life based on 1 Peter 2:1-4. In this paper using exegesis and qualitative descriptive approach, by collecting data through the Bible, other literature books such as journals, interviews and documents related to the object of research. In Christian life, spiritual renewal is a priority for church leaders. However, spiritual renewal is certainly inseparable from various challenges and problems. Allegedly at this time the lives of believers still prioritize deception and have a hypocritical nature and the habit of slandering others. As a result, spiritual renewal in the lives of believers occurs because they live in holiness, become healthy spiritual babies and live relying on God. In conclusion, to increase spiritual renewal, God's people must be like babies who have just come into the world, namely thirsty for milk that has not sinned and is spiritual, because believers have received salvation

Abstract:
Abstract Life review has been widely conducted to help older adults enhance well-being and cope with burdens. Spirituality is an important part of an older adult’s overall well-being, especially for those with life-threatening illnesses. However, there is no review study examining the effectiveness of life review interventions on psycho-spiritual outcomes among this population. The aim of the study was to examine the effectiveness of life review on psycho-spiritual well-being among older adults with life-threatening illnesses. A systematic review with meta-analysis consistent with the recommendations of the Cochrane Collaboration was conducted. Database searches included PubMed, PsycINFO, the Cochrane Library, the Campbell Library, EBSCO, CNKI, and the Airiti Library up to March 2020. Grey literature and reference lists from relevant articles were also searched and reviewed. 34 studies were included in the systematic review and 33 were included in the meta-analysis for outcomes of anxiety, depression, and quality of life. Other psycho-spiritual outcome measures that were not included in the meta-analysis due to the small number of studies included mood, apathy, life satisfaction, meaning in life, spiritual well-being, and some multi-dimensional instruments. The studies greatly varied in program design, content, format, length, interventionist, and more. The meta-analyses demonstrated standardized mean differences in favor of life review compared with the control with small to moderate effect sizes. The reviewers call for including more psycho-spiritual well-being measures among interventions for older adults with life-limiting illnesses, as well as studies with adequate sample size and rigorous designs in future research.

Abstract:
There is a distinct lack of literature related to the spiritual care of parents whose children with cancer are at the end of life. This has led to a dearth in evidence about how nurses may intervene with spiritual care interventions to best support these vulnerable parents. The purpose of this scoping review was to examine the evidence regarding the value of spirituality/spiritual care in minimizing the vulnerability of parents whose children were diagnosed with cancer and who faced the end of life. The Arksey and O’Malley methodological framework guided the analysis of the reviewed quantitative and qualitative literature. Spirituality and spiritual care provided bereaved parents and parents of children with cancer with necessary support and enhanced coping to allow them to better deal with this devastating experience. Spirituality and spiritual care instilled hope, assisted in the search for meaning and purpose, and guided parents to develop continuing bonds with their child. Through skillful communication, pediatric oncology nurses may guide parents of children who face the end of life to strengthen relationships that offer support, plan activities that provide opportunities for hope and connection, and identify sources of meaning in their experiences.

AbstractOnly society, equipped with civic consciousness will retain identity and take a stand in the modern global world. The research aims at revealing distinctive characters of Georgian way of thinking based on the examples from scientific works and fiction.Interesting explanation regarding the essence of citizenship is given by a great Georgian scientist Saint Grigol Peradze in his series of letters “Content of real citizenship” (interpretation of The Lord’s Prayer - Our Father). He postulates:” Aim of citizen’s life and of citizenship itself should be God”. Civic Consciousness in the history of Georgian literature originates from hagiography and immediately comprises double service. Hagiography hero serves for conversion of physical and spiritual “desert” into “city”.The poetry of great Georgian poet Vazha-Pshavela possesses all characteristics of highly developed civic consciousness. Vazha-Pshavela is considered to be “a poet of future” (critic Tamaz Chkhenkeli), also “a poet of soul” (Grigol Kiknadze), because his creative work is directed towards spiritual forces of a human and serve for spiritual prosperity.

Abstract:
Counselees who take part in spiritual counseling are usually those who are experiencing life impasses. Spiritual counseling offers intervention to reactivate the counselee's spiritual powers. This article aims to look at the possibility of using Soren Kierkegaard's thought of self-identity dynamics as a framework for spiritual counseling interventions. Kierkegaard, who is known as an existentialist philosopher, considers that human self-identity has three dimensions. First, the synthesis of two opposite poles: between the infinite and the finite, the mortal and the eternal, freedom and necessity. Second, internal relations: relations that connect oneself and one's individuality. The third is deep dependence on the transcendent. The three dimensions of human identity are in harmony with the main character of spiritual counseling. The method used to see this possibility is a literature study. The author reviews various literature related to spiritual counseling and Kierkegaard's concept of self-identity dynamics to produce a comprehensive discussion. There are ten journal articles that the author used for this research. Three main discussions of this paper are the definition of spiritual counseling, the concept of Kierkegaard's Self-identity dynamics, and the application of Kierkegaard's self-identity dynamics to spiritual counseling. The discussion concluded that Kierkegaard's thoughts on self-identity provided an adequate framework for the dynamics of spiritual counseling, especially to help counselees realize and actualize spiritual powers to build wholeness in freedom. This study will benefit spiritual counselors to deal with counselees experiencing life impasses and to broadenthe counselor's understanding in facilitating the counseling process.

Abstract:
This essay traces the emergence of new categories of “spiritual writing” in Chinese literature, before offering an interpretation of Bei Cun’s 1992 novel The Baptizing River (Shixi de he 施洗的河) as an exemplar. Bei Cun’s first novel as a “Christian author” attracted much critical attention, given the contrast with the author’s prior works and its message of spiritual salvation at a time of political change and metaphysical searching. A psychosocial biography of its anti-hero Liu Lang, set in wartime China, the novel charts the protagonist’s criminal livelihood, descent into moral depravity, and gradual questioning of life and purpose. This essay foregrounds the structure of the novel and explores how narrative form and theological meaning interact. To do this, it traces the course of the river journeys that mark the different stages of Liu Lang’s life and which culminate in his unorthodox baptismal rebirth.

Abstract:
Objective: A meta-summary of the qualitative literature on spiritual perspectives of adults who are at the end of life was undertaken to summarily analyze the research to date and identify areas for future research on the relationship of spirituality with physical, functional, and psychosocial outcomes in the health care setting. Methods: Included were all English language reports from 1966 to the present catalogued in PubMed, Medline, PsycInfo, and CINAHL, identifiable as qualitative investigations of the spiritual perspectives of adults at the end of life. The final sample includes 11 articles, collectively representing data from 217 adults. Results: The preponderance of participants had a diagnosis of cancer; those with HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease, and ALS were also represented. Approximately half the studies were conducted in the United States; others were performed in Australia, Finland, Scotland, and Taiwan. Following a process of theme extraction and abstraction, thematic patterns emerged and effect sizes were calculated. A spectrum of spirituality at the end of life encompassing spiritual despair (alienation, loss of self, dissonance), spiritual work (forgiveness, self-exploration, search for balance), and spiritual well-being (connection, self-actualization, consonance) emerged.Significance: The findings from this meta-summary confirm the fundamental importance of spirituality at the end of life and highlight the shifts in spiritual health that are possible when a terminally ill person is able to do the necessary spiritual work. Existing end-of-life frameworks neglect spiritual work and consequently may be deficient in guiding research. The area of spiritual work is fertile ground for further investigation, especially interventions aimed at improving spiritual health and general quality of life among the dying.

Abstract:
Telepathy is considered a unique supernatural phenomenon that falls under the classification of Extra Sensory Potentials. The western world has developed several concepts and theories based on the assumptions and experiences of several learned individuals. Here, the present study was based on eastern philosophies written and practiced by Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji, who is the most recent legend with a perfect balance of scientific perspective towards spirituality. His establishments and achievements are unique as they all despite his physical absence consistently thrive to blend both the extreme ends. This research aims to present a concept of telepathy from the viewpoint of Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji. Telepathy is renowned fashionably for its misconceptions as well as scientific inexplicability. The potential classified as extrasensory exists and is experienced substantially but when it comes to controlled experimentation, it is very difficult to carry out as they are dependent on individuals’ spiritual life and journey. Pandit Shriram Sharmaji was a spiritual scientist who has throughout his life experimented with spirituality on his life. His concepts are not only mere assumptions but filled with deep understanding, scientific references, and research. After the in-depth study of the literature of Pandit Shriram Sharmaji, which includes his huge volumes of complete works (Vangmays) and other spiritual and scientific texts, it was found that the telepathic capacities, through the proper practice of various spiritual techniques and personality refinements, can also be acquired and enhanced too. This opens up several new areas of research in the field of Extrasensory potential, especially Telepathy.

Abstract:
The Christian life is not static, but marks an expected, if often unspecified, trajectory of growth into maturity. The study of these practices that encourage growth is often called “Spiritual Formation,” and yet a survey of recent literature in the field reveals no real consensus regarding the definition for this process or its objectives. This essay will attempt to bring clarity to the practice of Christian formation through an analysis of the concept of formation, three key scriptural warrants, the role of the Church in its execution, and especially to the telos of formation. While typical accounts of Christian formation point to a vision for “Christlikeness” as the telos of its practices, in this essay I will argue that a more fundamental grounding—based on the nature of worship—should be located in the Triune Imago Dei. A given doctrine of God tacitly forms the ecclesiological environment in which a given Christian is being formed—or mal-formed.

Abstract:
Abstract Spirituality is known to be an important contributor to older adults’ and caregivers’ psychological and physical well-being. Despite this significance, their spiritual aspects are often overlooked within the context of treating and managing disease. Moreover, limited evidence exists regarding what specific intersectional identities of older adults and caregivers have the potential to cause disparities in their spiritual well-being. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify the extent to which intersectionality has been considered within the literature concerning factors associated with the spiritual aspects (defined as spiritual needs, spiritual support, and spiritual well-being) of older adults and their caregivers. Consequently, a five-stage integrative review was conducted using the protocol proposed by Whittemore and Knafl. This process yielded a total of 543 articles identified in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Web of Science in March 2023. Following the application of inclusion/exclusion criteria, 18 articles were selected for data extraction. Finally, four themes related to intersectional considerations were found: 1) The potential role of intersecting multiple identities in differences in spiritual experiences; 2) Older adults and caregivers, the pre-existing identities, that intensify the likelihood of intersectionality leading to disparities in spiritual experiences; 3) The importance of spiritual perspective in addressing challenges derived from the intersections of multiple identities; 4) Recommendations for professionals to consider potential intersectional factors in research and clinical contexts to improve inclusiveness. Findings highlight the necessity of adopting an intersectional lens within both research and clinical domains to prevent overlooking any resulting variations in spiritual experiences.

His presence was increasingly meaningful when he was able to become an "oasis in the desert" for modern people who are experiencing a spiritual crisis. In the form of a particular tarekat (ṭarīqah) or a modified form, Sufism has become a medicine for modernization with all its adverse effects. Sufism with spiritual teachings and noble character increasingly plays an important role. He who was once accused of the cause of Islamic decline, and negatively addressed by some Islamic experts, is now increasingly gaining a place in modern society. It is a solution that is anticipated for the problems of contemporary society. By using a literature study, this article was written to contribute to the phenomenon. Purpose As corporate life is influenced by various things, there is no justifiable reason to believe that the spiritual power (capacity) should not be one of them. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to argue that workers need to develop another core competency, knowledge and skill, that is, spiritual intelligence (SI). Design/methodology/approach This paper draws on a literature review to support its conclusions. In this sense, this paper carefully examines relevant popular and academic books, handbooks, articles, papers, thesis and doctoral dissertations related to SI. In addition, this paper depicts a conceptual model of SI that is made up of some research propositions, namely, professional moral courage, altruism, hope state, optimism, cooperative capacity, organizational justice mindset and listening skill. Findings Overall, the literature review suggests that without such a capacity, we would be enjoying merely impoverished lives (here referred to as the outcome of a set of harmful aspects such as an existence without spiritual compass, meaning, worthy purposes and desire to face the shadows of our own personality). Practical implications This paper proposes that SI is the path to reach and develop our own spirituality. When this ability is triggered, we are potentially able to make some important contributions to the people that live around and rely on us. Originality/value This paper argues that SI can be regarded as a human capacity that connects us with the ultimate frontier, that is, the spiritual realm. As such, it is proposed that it can be cultivated over time in a careful and disciplined way by anyone that is really interested in developing his or her spirituality.

Abstract:
In this article, we would like to explore the manifestations of spiritual life expression in Vietnamese prose during the renovation period: belief in mysterious things, strange dreams, and the spirit between the living and the dead... Through the exploration of these expressions, we have not only pointed out the innovation in the conception of man in the literature of this period but also initially discovered the human values of the literary background.

Abstract:
Abstract Spirituality could be understood as a personal belief, a relation with sacred, divine experience, a sense of purpose and meaning towards life, authenticity and connectedness. It is a continually evolving, highly complex, contextual, subjective, and sensitive construct. A continuous development is seen around understanding about spirituality and spiritual concepts, such as spiritual experiences, spiritual pain and spiritual distress, especially among patients and families at the end of life. The concepts, values, attitudes, and beliefs around spirituality, spiritual needs and expressions vary among different individuals, cultures, and religions. There is a dearth of literature around spirituality, especially among Muslim patients and families at the end of life. The complexities around the concept of spirituality in the literature raise several ethical and methodological concerns for a novice researcher while planning and conducting a study on spirituality during end-of-life care in a hospice setting, especially among a Muslim population. This paper aims to share some of the methodological and ethical challenges that can be faced by qualitative researchers while conducting research around spirituality and end-of-life care in an Islamic/Muslim context. Major challenges include defining the term spirituality, spirituality and culture, communication, power relations, language and translation, recruitment and selection of the participants, emotional distress, and reflexivity and reciprocity. Having an in-depth understanding of these challenges can guide researchers to address these issues adequately in their spirituality research in a Muslim context.
