Abstract The accompanying article by Jiang et al. (Am J Epidemiol. 2021;190(9):1830–1840) extends quantitative bias analysis from the realm of statistical models to the realm of machine learning algorithms. Given the rooting of statistical models in the spirit of explanation and the rooting of machine learning algorithms in the spirt of prediction, this extension is thought-provoking indeed. Some such thoughts are expounded upon here.

Zeytun toxumlarından (müxtəlif ölçülərdə və üyüdülmə dərəcələrində) əldə edilmiş nümunələri tədqiq etdik, həmçinin qabığı soyulmuş zeytun toxumlarından toz əldə etməyin yollarını müəyyənləşdirdik, sonra zeytunun yığılması və toxumların təmizlənməsi üçün ən vacib və uyğun təbii amilləri və vaxtları öyrəndik. Zeytun toxumları toz halına salınmış və sümüyə bərkimiş, sonra sınaq borularına qoyulmuş və həlledicilərlə doldurulmuşdur. Ən yaxşı nəticələri 2021-ci ilin ok-tyabr ayında Bakının Suraxanı rayonundan toplanmış zeytun toxumu tozundan müxtəlif həlledicilərlə (etil spirti və benzol) ekstraksiya edilmiş məhlullar göstərmişdir. Alınan konsentratlar qısa müddətdə təcrid olunmuş və təhlil edilmiş, həmçinin məhlulların optik sıxlığı (A) Lambert-Bouger-Beroscope (LBB) qanunundan istifadə etməklə UV spektroskopiyası ilə müəyyən edilmişdir. Ən yaxşı nəticəni ehtiva edən məhlulları öyrənərkən, həlledici kimi etanoldan istifadə edərək 3 q əzilmiş zeytun toxumu olan bir nümunə göstərildi. Konsentrasiya 1.3 qiymətini almışdır. Bu, spirt həlledici istifadə edərək əldə edilən ekoloji cəhətdən təmiz ən yaxşı göstəricidir. Aparılan işlərin nəticələrinə əsasən çıxarılan yağların və toz halında qalan zeytun qalıqlarının gələcəkdə mümkün istifadəsi üçün çıxarılması üsulları müəyyən edilmiş və göstəricilər öyrənilmişdir. Açar sözlər: zeytun toxumları; yağlar, optiki sıxlıq, spirt, benzol.

Abstract:
<em>The article examines what are the essential characteristics of a person and his activities, such as spirit and spirituality. It is determined that the concept of </em><em>&laquo;</em><em>spirt</em><em>&raquo;</em><em> has a twofold meaning - in the case of direct correlation with a person, we are talking about it as an immanently inherent rational will that ensures the desire for transformation </em><em>oneself and the world. </em><em>If we talk about activity, then the spirit acts as its idea, that is, as something that does not allow us to reduce activity to simple functionality. In connection with the revealed dual possibility of the orientation of the spirit, spirituality is defined as the orientation of a person to the highest values, which are usually referred to as good, truth, beauty, freedom and justice, that is, what defines humanity in a person.</em>

Penelitian ini membahas pelaksanaan program Pengabdian Masyarakat Mahasiswa (KKN) di STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan yang bertujuan memperkuat legitimasi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di pedesaan. Fokus penelitian adalah penerapan langkah-langkah kunci dalam pendaftaran hukum usaha, seperti Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB), SPIRT, dan sertifikasi halal. Melalui kolaborasi mahasiswa KKN dan pemangku kepentingan, pendekatan praktis diterapkan. Metode melibatkan sosialisasi, pelatihan, penyuluhan, dan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam peserta KKN, pemilik UMKM, serta analisis dokumen terkait proses pendaftaran dan sertifikasi. Hasil menunjukkan program KKN berkontribusi pada legalitas UMKM di desa. Melalui workshop UMKM, pemangku kepentingan dalam pendaftaran NIB, SPIRT, dan sertifikasi halal terlibat untuk memberi panduan langsung kepada pelaku usaha. Kolaborasi aktif mahasiswa KKN, UMKM, dan pemangku kepentingan memberi manfaat dalam memahami, mengakses, dan menerapkan proses hukum bisnis. Ini membantu UMKM mematuhi regulasi, mendukung pertumbuhan usaha berkelanjutan. Temuan berharga bagi lembaga pendidikan dan pemerintah dalam merancang program serupa mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal dengan memperkuat legalitas UMKM

Abstract:
This paper looks at the themes of nature, humanity, and military and industrial development in the nineteenth century American painter Winslow Homer through the lens of the Hegelian theory of art. Robert Pippin's After the Beautiful (2015) has recently put the Hegelian framework to very fruitful use in understanding pictorial modernism. This study of Homer follows a similar approach but argues that Homer's canvases represent a development in the modern spirt which, in many ways, goes beyond the canvases of Manet – a very tight modernist contemporary of Homer's. Homer communicates a presentment of the immense and, in certain profound respects, horrifying power of humanity's growing industrialization. I trace the development of this idea over the course of his career, from this early Civil War canvases to his final seascapes and argue that an understanding of Homer's work is important for understanding the modern spirit of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Abstract:
Much of the sapiential treatise Instruction (=4QInstruction) can be read as a systematic attempt to support one basic ideological principle: Each person has a divinely assigned share, and every interaction that requires mixing that share with other agents is a breach of the metaphysical order. This idea was first formulated with regard to Instruction by Menahem Kister. In the present article, I apply this notion to the prologue (preserved in 4Q416 1) and to the sections on family relations (parents, wife) in 4Q416. These latter cases explore the financial relations within a family and align them with the overall principle of Instruction. The various sections highlight the person’s spirit as a commodity, intertwined with the life and capital of that person. The literary focus is on the phenomenology of the spirt, as it shifts during various transactions. The biblical allusions in these sections are explained along the same line of argument.

Trotz der Ausdifferenzierung ist den verschiedenen Sportbereichen gemein, dass in diesen das Erbringen körperlicher Leistungen im Zentrum des Interesses steht. Die Körper- und Leistungsideale, die beim Sport zum Tragen kommen, sind eng verknüpft mit Annahmen über Geschlecht. Im Sport dominiert und reproduziert sich die Vorstellung einer eindeutigen Zweigeschlechtlichkeit und einer damit einhergehenden natürlichen (Leistungs-)Differenz.

SPIRIT apresenta uma nova maneira de pensar sobre o processo de suporte à decisão em várias áreas. Nesta tese foi criado um Sistema Especialista Probabilístico de Apoio à Tomada de Decisão, que serve como ferramenta para a sugestão de decisões das equipes que participam das simulações do Jogo de empresas GI-EPS. Esta ferramenta pode ser utilizada como um auxiliar das equipes na tomada de decisão, bem como um Jogador Automático, capaz de adaptar-se à situação que uma empresa simulada no jogo se encontra, tomando as decisões no lugar de uma equipe real. Como resultado dos trabalhos de criação deste sistema uma nova abordagem de desenvolvimento é proposta, representada por um método para geração de regras a partir de uma amostra, além da avaliação da qualidade da amostra para treinamento. Sendo que esta abordagem é voltada às características e recursos específicos da ferramenta SPIRIT, utilizada nesta tese. Esta abordagem é baseada no uso dos recursos da ferramenta, que outros softwares da mesma categoria ou não dispõe, ou então dispõe de maneira menos eficiente, como o agrupamento de variáveis (LEG), e o uso da entropia na construção da Rede Causal.

The dominant part is a sport multifunctional hall, whitch is connected to a two above-ground floors fitness center with facilities for visitors. The construction system of the hall is prefabricated reinforced concrete structural frame. The ceiling construction consists of prefabricated reinforced concrete panels. The fitness center is designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete structural frame. Ceiling structures are cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs. The roof structures are designed like flat vegetation roof. The building has exterior thermal insulation system with ventilated facade.

Since there can be no sport without players, for efficient functioning of sport system, based upon the fundamental values of sport and sporting spirit, it is of essential importance to regulate relationship between the players and their spors organization (clubs) appropriately. New Law on Sport from 2016. has replaced previous Act from 2011 and it has regulated the relationship between the players and sport organizations in significantly different way comparing to previous law. All players can be divided into amateur and professional players. An amateur player need not to be in contractual relation with his/her club, but it is possible to conclude two contracts: scholarship contract for underage player to improve sport performance and contract on performance of sporting activity. For the status of an amateur player, it is not important if he/she receives compensation for sport performance, noting that going in for sporting activity according to the contract on performance of sporting activity is considered as work outside the employement in accordance to law. If a player performes sporting activity in the form of basic employment, he/she has the status of professional player, and the relationship between him/her and the sport club is regulated by employment contract. In his paper, the author analyzes the provisions of Law on Sport from 2016. about the status of players and contract they enter into with their clubs. This work indicates the problems that exist in the practice.

Abstract:
Anti-doping programs are implemented for the purpose of preservation of the essential value in sports, which is often termed „spirit of sport“ and represents the foundation of Olympism. Therefore, doping is fundamentally opposed to the spirit of sport. Anti-doping programs directed towards the children aged 8 to 12 years have a teaching character, with the aim of the education about the values of respect, equity, and inclusion. During the last three decades, the use of doping substances by adolescents and individuals who cannot be recognized as athletes in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code has become a significant problem in modern society. Physical education teachers and sports coaches should have special training to be able to recognize behavioural symptoms in their students or clients as potential users of doping substances. All the adverse effects of doping substances use on physical and psychological health should be explained in detail in a plastic, vivid, and concrete way, stressing the seriousness and long-lasting nature of these effects. Since the use of doping frequently starts in the period of early adolescence, the education to fight it should be introduced as early as the school age.

ABSTRACT Since ancient times, the sport has been a symbol of peace, unity, and strength of the human spirit and physical endurance. Sport is an essential component of the life of modern societies. Major sporting events attract the interest of many people from all over the world. This report analyses the main risks and threats related to the organization and conduct of sporting events. The sports incidents are of different natures and could be caused by different factors - bloody terrorist attacks against sportsmen and the public, violence caused by hooligans, or casualties caused by construction demolition or similar incidents. How one prepares, responds, and recovers to mitigate the consequences of emergencies at sports events is a matter of how one prepares, responds, and recovers. Sport managers need to be aware of risk assessment methodologies to detect threats, identify vulnerabilities, and reduce consequences. Information gathered through this process is extremely valuable for enhancing security measures.

The concept of holistic development is aimed at comprehensive personality development and it supports the growth of physical, cognitive, emotional, social and mental potential of an individual since an early age. Focus on academic achievement as a key marker of life and education success (which is undoubtedly significant) often neglects other aspects of personality development. Therefore, this paper investigates both the contribution of sport as a resource of primarily physical development and the reflection of physical activity on one's growth as a whole. Research has shown that doing sport benefits the development of physical abilities, physical condition, uplifts strength, cognitive capabilities and academic achievements, as well as awareness, self-consciousness and self-confidence. Besides, sport influences the growth of key competences for lifelong learning, such as constructive communication, cooperation, team work, leadership, critical thinking, interculturality, prosocial skills, emotional intelligence, accepting diversity and encouraging the spirit of togetherness and collective success. Apart from all advantages, sport and generally physical activities are overshadowed by other activities of both numerous education institutions and family culture. Deficiency or imbalance of these activities may negatively affect physical, mental and emotional health, as well as complete life functioning including disciplinary issues and violence. Taking into consideration the holistic approach and child's authenticity, this paper advocates the choice of sport in accordance with the child's wishes and potential opposite to parents' ambitions. The promotion of sport and its integration into child's life functioning in ecosystem environment can contribute to better academic achievements, tolerance and empathy growth, learning on respecting boundaries, minimising boredom and monotony, balanced use of digital technology, healthy and proactive lifestyle, which can be regarded as the paper's crucial pedagogic implications.

In Aotearoa New Zealand, rugby and rugby league are popular sporting codes, historically and particularly among males. In their 2023 annual reports, New Zealand Rugby reported 147,434 registered participants, while New Zealand Rugby League reported 28,180. Both institutions have also developed equity, diversity and inclusion strategies aimed at nurturing the participation and involvement of women and girls, as well as Māori and Pacific communities. However, while both codes have recorded an increase in female participation, there has been a gradual decline in male participation (Cully, 2023; Radio New Zealand, 2023; Wilson, 2022). This decline in sport participation has also been noted by (former) Principal Youth Court Judge Andrew Becroft, who found that young male offenders are often not involved in sport (Bruce, 2013; Sport NZ, 2018). This report summarises the findings of a study that examines sports attrition in relation to youth offending. In that study, the author (Clarke, 2012) examined the childhood and youth sporting experiences and illegal activities of five young men aged between 18 and 25 years old. The aim of this report is to provide insights into how these young men became involved in sport and why they dropped out, how they became involved in crime, and possible links between their sport participation and offending. Their experiences highlight several issues that can be addressed by parents/caregivers, clubs, sport administrators, coaches, community groups, sports organisations, and policymakers. In course of the study, six key observations were made. For these young men: 1. rugby and or rugby league were their primary and final sporting codes; 2. these sports were or had become ‘just a game’; 3. aggressive coaches diminished their enjoyment and commitment to sport; 4. their parents/caregivers were absent from their sporting lives; 5. their participation in sport and crime was simultaneous; and 6. the collision aspect of rugby and rugby league may have helped to facilitate their offending. In this document, the names of these young men have been replaced with aliases. To provide the reader with a richer and deeper understanding of the issues, the report features a number of their stories and reflections (edited for readability only). The research methods are briefly outlined in Appendix 1. Sources included in this report are listed in the References section. For a fuller review of the literature and the research analysis refer to the original research document (Clarke, 2012).
