Abstract:
The study was conducted to determine the status of the current stocks of the S. varius in Lianga Bay, Surigao del Sur from July 2016 to August 2019. Some variables in population dynamics, such as asymptotic length (L∞), growth coefficient (K), the mortality rate (Z, F, and M), and the exploitation rate of S. varius were estimated from length frequencies analyses by means of FAO-ICLARM Stock Assessment Tools (FISAT). Results showed that the growth performance index (φ) was 3.79, asymptotic length (L∞) was 202.65mm and growth coefficient (K) was predicted to be

Abstract Heavy metals are generally toxic, readily bind to particles, settle to the bottom of water bodies, and accumulate in organisms over time. Lead (Pb), a toxic heavy metal, is of particular concern due to its adverse effects on both aquatic ecosystems and human health. The waters of Kupa-Kupa Beach, site in South Tobelo District, North Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, are affected by various human activities, including industrial activity, tourism, agriculture, and human settlements. Hereditary skeletal dysplasias (HSD) are primary growth disorders; occur with a frequency of 1: 5000 newborns; characterized by wide phenotypic heterogeneity. Diagnosis of НSD is based on clinical symptoms (dyspropotion of body segments), radiographic characteristics of bone mineralization, maturation and morphology, and molecular genetic studies. Treatment of this group of patients must be multidisciplinary, since it affects not only skeleton.
