The value that people place on a car's performance has increased significantly in recent years. With advances in automotive technology, the performance of racing cars has become a critical factor in their success. The study of aerodynamics has become increasingly important in achieving efficiency and speed in sports cars. Despite the growing interest in a car's appearance, the design of sports cars remains highly focused on aerodynamics. The rear wing, in particular, plays a critical role in the car's overall performance, providing downforce and reducing drag. As a result, designing an effecti

AbstractPrincipal component analysis is employed to construct a new formula defining ‘sports cars’, a classification variable commonly used by Belgian insurers in motor insurance. Five hundred and eighty-one different car models were used in the design of the formula. It is based solely on the cars' technical characteristics and hence does not rely on the subjective opinion of experts; the resulting classification is independent of units of measurement employed. Thus the definition is suitable for application world-wide.

At low speeds the effect is negligible but as both car and wind speeds increase there is a reduction in refinement, ride quality is degraded and it becomes tiring to drive. Future environmental legislation concerning the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions will lead to a lighter road vehicle and a corresponding increase in crosswind sensitivity. In car racing, the optimum is represented by the perfect lap, performed by the driver in the minimum possible time, following the ideal race line with the appropriate velocity. However, due to the intrinsic nature of human being this is unfeasible and the only way to get as close as possible to the perfection is to rely on technology and artificial intelligence.

Mexico: Strengthen education on adolescent reproductive health. Population Council, 2003. http://dx.doi.org/10.31899/rh2003.1007.

Abstract:
Unprotected sex among Mexico’s young people often leads to unplanned pregnancy and unwanted births as well as risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV. From 1999 to 2002, FRONTIERS worked with the nongovernmental organization MEXFAM to test the feasibility, effectiveness, and cost of community-, clinic-, and school-based interventions to improve the reproductive health (RH) of youth aged 10–19. Eight cities were selected as intervention sites, and four as control sites. In the intervention sites, researchers worked with coordinators and “multipliers”—local community members

PARAMETRIC STUDIES ON SCF DISTRIBUTION OF THREEPLANAR TUBULAR Y-JOINTS UNDER IN-PLANE BENDING MOMENT. The Hong Kong Institute of Steel Construction, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.18057/icass2020.p.275.

Abstract:
The three-planar tubular Y-joint is normally multiplanar loaded with severe multiplanar interaction effect, which may cause the hot spot stress (HSS) to occur other than crown or saddle points of the weld seam. Thus, the distributions of stress concentration factor (SCF) along weld seam are needed to calculate HSS rather than formulas that only care about values of crown or saddle points. To find the distribution patterns, a numerical database is established using the validated finite element (FE) analysis method. Sensitivity analyses for five geometric parameters affecting distribution along

Abstract:
Banco de la República's monitoring of the local financial market infrastructure is an additional contribution to the country's financial stability. One of the products of that monitoring has been the Payment Systems Report, which is now known as the Financial Infrastructure Report. The change in name, as of this edition, is intended to reflect in a broader way the issues that are addressed in the report. The 2022 edition includes several changes that are the result of a comparative study of financial infrastructure reports prepared by other central banks. These changes seek to make the report

Abstract:
Banco de la República provides a comprehensive overview of Colombia’s finan¬cial infrastructure in its Payment Systems Report, which is an important product of the work it does to oversee that infrastructure. The figures published in this edition of the report are for the year 2020, a pandemic period in which the con¬tainment measures designed and adopted to alleviate the strain on the health system led to a sharp reduction in economic activity and consumption in Colom¬bia, as was the case in most countries. At the start of the pandemic, the Board of Directors of Banco de la República adopted
