The paper examines the features of Heath-Carter somatotypes and total body sizes in male athletes doing karate-do in comparison with non-sports peers at the age of 14-17 years. We have found that karate athletes 14-17 years old have lower values of mass and body length than their peers who do not go in for sports, and for persons 14-17 years old who go in for karate-do, the predominance of mesomorphism is characteristic, and the predominant somatotype is ecto-mesomorphism.
